I enjoyed the first episode, but the second was more mixed. It had a couple of good moments, but there are two central problems. One is that Yo is, other than Poom's gorgeousness and hot body, unlikeable, and the other is that he and Jom have no chemistry at all - it's negative chemistry, to the point that I feel uncomfortable when they stand close to each other.
I suppose Yo will become less of a horrible brat over time, but I'm not sure the chemistry issue is solvable.
The writing isn't bad, except for that unbeliveably bad accidental kiss, which almost made me drop the series - in some cases it's quite good. I hope this doesn't slip into fomulaicism.
I love the adorable three imps - I hope they are prominent in the series.
I don't see the lack of the chemistry. They just don't know each other yet.
Chemistry is there or not. It has nothing to do with how well they know each other. That ridiculous accidental kiss was so pointless and lacking in any emotional content - it neither excited or disgusted the pair - it just happened as part of the BL formula. There should have been some electricity but there was nothing.
So this practically remake of 1000 stars is supposed to impress me, sorry for the bitterness, but so far I’m…
I'm with you. I think it did improve once Yo wasn't pursuing the woman anymore and I thought his interactions with his parents were funny an well-written. It also feels like there is some attention to detail which I appreciate, but so far this isn't doing too much for me, although I really like Poom.
I did not like the first half at all, but the second half was much more engaging. What put me off the first half was that it was boring and I'm kind of over "straight guys who go gay after getting screwed over by a woman" plots. But Poom is a hot guy and Yo's interactions with his parents were gold and the comedy was actually funny.
I was enjoying that epiosde until the last shot - that was so stupid it yanked me right out of the story.
I think it was better than Ep 1 because Thun and Typhoon are actually an interesting pair - can't Keen just get killed by the thugs and give us a Thun/Typhoon romance?
I feel like I'm watching the series that is rated 7.4 and not the one everyone is raving about below. I think the acting is quite a bit above average, but the story is awful and this last episode was so predictable that it made me cringe. I was almost confused - "wait, he checked the entire room - how is Da Hei going to overhear his confession?" Not to worry, he can just materialize out of nowhere - these writers don't care about logic of physics.
Nelson Ji is criminally cute - and No Sir is really hot. Fortunately, I'm shallow, so I can bear with the awfulness of the series.
I can't get past Keen just standing around while Thun was fighting 3 men on his behalf. That was cowardly and awful. I really don't like him, and they're a boring couple. Oh, look, how unexpected. Keen can't climb stairs. But I'll watch on for Earth Thanakrit.
I love Pak and I've been looking forward to this, but I completely understand what everyone is saying - it's downright visually unpleaseant to watch. The framing and blocking is disjointed and directionless, the filtering is odd, there's no lighting, and it looks like it was shot on an iPhone. There's no color or energy to the photography. But damn is Pak hot.
I enjoy this series, and I appreciate that the love scene wasn't formulaic (seme slams uke's hand against the mattress beside his head, etc.), but it was wayyyyyy too long to be entirely in slo-mo. That was tedious and I ended up ff-ing through it.
I think people are being too harsh on Sorn - if he hadn't apologized, I would dislike him, but he did. Someone isn't bad just because they made a mistake, they're bad if they don't take responsibility for their behavior. He's clearaly immature and an emotional idiot, but if he weren't (and Jun weren't just a smidgen behind), then there would be no series. They'd have gotten together two years before the series started and it would have ended in the into scene to ep 1.
1 episode in, and there is literally no plot. does it get better, or is it just packaged smut?
There is a plot - it's not Romeo & Juliet, but there is one. It's basically about emotional idiots trying to find love. I think it's worth watching.
I like NC-17 scenes, but I have to admit I ff-ed through the one in Ep 4. There's only so long you can watch somerthing in slo-mo before it gets tiresome. It wasn't formulaic - I'll give it that.
Sorn said that he doesnt have a girlfriend but why Penny is holding his hand like one 🤔 Doesnt Sorn have any…
Isn't the question "doesn't Penny have any boundaries?" Sorn moved her hand away from his leg, and later, she wasn't holding his hand, she was holding his arm, which is totally normal social behavior between a woman and a male friend. My friends do it all the time - so do my female relatives. That doesn't mean I'm f@#$ing my cousins.
Sorn is somehow really an idiot. I like him too, but.... he doesn't want anything serious with Jun, but Jun is…
He does want something serieous with Jun, he's just an emotional idiot who is too constipated to express his feelings clearly - instead he behaves like a primary schooler teasing the object of his affections.
I kinda understand why people r mad at Sorn here but what i feel was he really didnt try that prank to make him…
I think people are being way to hard on Sorn. He was an asshole in this ep, but he knew he went too far and he apologized, and he was clearly deeply upset that his behavior made Jun cry - hopefully he's learned a lesson and won't do it again.
I feel like people are unforgiving of mistakes - Sorn took responsibility for his, and even Jun seems to see that. I hope nobody that's being judgmental is ever treated by others as they're treating Sorn, because all of us make mistakes that hurt other people.
Sorn is starting to Piss me off. He is not only controlling but a hypocrite! he forbids Jun to hang with anyone…
These are not the same thing. Jun was planning to have sex with Franz, and Sorn did reject Penny's flirting. A woman holding the arm of a male friend is totally normal and common - I don't see how there's any issue there.
What is an issue is the length of Penny's skirt, which is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Imagine if a man wore shorts of that length to work.
There's something I don't understand. Those guys including flirty guy were present in that office when Sorn gave…
Also, it wasn't super-clear, but Sorn told flirty guy that he had told Jun to do it the day before. To him, it looked like Sorn was telling him again because he hadn't done it the previous day. The fault was Sorn's, and he apologized.
I suppose Yo will become less of a horrible brat over time, but I'm not sure the chemistry issue is solvable.
