Title The Eclipse
I don't understand the vitriol about this episode. Sure Thua did not act like a gentleman this episode but doesn't…
Something isn't good writing just because it isn't predictable.

The Chadok thing was set up and motivated and I was happy to be surprised by that.

But there was no setup for what Thua did, it didn't fit his established character, was way over the top, and there were absolutely no consequences for what he did. Nobody was angry 5 minutes later, there was no conversation or processing of what happened, no apology for hurting people, and then after terrorizing people, outing them, and betraying them in the name of Truth, he's participating in a cover up of everything he did - that really doesn't make any sense.

I don't think the series is ruined, but it's a bit silly and an unsatisfying resolution. Nothing really meant anything and all the themes were more or less abandoned.

A lot of Thai dramas, especially GMMs, have trouble resolving the dramatic tension they build up - it's like they have good story ideas but don't really think them through.

Bravo! Well said.....drama series are drama's series becuase they do the unexpected. Not all the time but many…
That can indeed be cool, but the problem here is that there was no setup for it and Thua behaved out of character - both in what he did and in covering it up afterwards, and there were no consequences - in the next scenee everyone is buddy-buddy again, with no conversation or processing.

That makes it manufactured penultimate-episode drama that's a real let-down and a strange deflation of all the dramatic tension built up. It was't good writing or characterization. I don't think it ruined the show like a lot of people seem to feel, but it is a bit flat.

Hmm. I have mixed feelings. I like that it wasn't predictable, but I don't think it was adequately set up, and there was no aftermath - it's like it didn't happen.

We've never gotten a sense that Thua was that dark, and everyone was just fine with it five minutes later despite the betrayal. I get the intentions, but you can just confront people with the truth and talk about it - you don't have to terrorize people and out them, and humilate them in public. It didn't really work for me. It could have, but that there were no consequences and there was no discussion or processing of what he did just made the whole thing a cheap ploy for Ep Eleven drama, the Suppalo Curse of GMM.

Also, he was upset that Ayan was covering for Akk, and now he's participating in a huge coverup of everything, including his own actions? What? He went against his character in the big reveal, and then he took actions that were directly opposed to what he had done (i.e. he hurt everyone to expose the truth, and now he's helping cover it right back up again), which is also out of character.

The Teacher Chadok thing was better set up and motivated, and I was really happy with that one. And First was again the star of the episode. It was also nice to see AJ get to be a boss for once instead of just Comic Side Characer No. 2.

You can just tell the truth - you don't have to terrorize and out people.

OK, I'm going to say it. The acting in this is unbalanced. Santa is incredibly talented. What I like about Santa is that he expresses emotion to a believable extent and with subtlety, like his anger and jealousy earlier in the episode. By the end he was sloppy drunk, but other than the vomiting, that was very believable drunkenness, and his lack of ability to express complex thoughts and uninhibited emotion were pitch-perfect without being OTT.

And on top of all that, the boy is beautiful. Total leading man material.

Earth is good at crying.

It does seem like three episodes into his story, I know less about Sky than I did before. Pai sometimes seems…
I don't like Nineteenth Century stereotypes of women and misogyny carried into BL in the form of a useless uke with no agency who needs a Real Man to take care of him, nor the inflexible idea that a "bottom" is less of a man than a "top".

Mame (the author) invariably has an uke that is suffering from trauma from a past assault or rape, which is fetishized and never handled with any depth, sensitivity, or authenticity - it's just another passive weakness that infantilizes the uke and makes him need the protection of an uke, as if the protection and guidance of a Real Man is all that's needed to pull you out of trauma rather than professional treatment.

It's the Fiat effect, where a side character can be a dynamic badboy, but once he's a main uke, he suddenly turns into a frail little girl with consumption who becomes deathly ill if he works as hard as... all the other college students who have ever lived, or sunlight touches him, or he gets wet.

I could live with that, but he clearly wanted to have wild sex with Pai but now he's a Victorian virgin again. Mame is the worst. It's the same story over and over. I'm sorry if she's been the victim of sexual violence, but does it have to be a theme in ALL her stories?

I agree 1000% about the chemistry. Sky and Prapai are just meh.. while Rain and Phayu were oozed sexual tension.…
I'm watching it. I wish the first 8 eps had been 4 - it was a bit stretched out - but the last couple have been excellent. And I could stare at Santa all day.
On Love in the Air Oct 21, 2022
What a disappointment. I was so excited about Sky's romance because I loved his character in the first half, but he's turned from a worldly and witty guy into a meek and bratty twelve-year old girl. The chemistry is not there, either. Not even close to Rain & Phayu. I was hoping for snappy dialog, but I guess that's just not Mame. It was just "Don't be mean" and "Go away."

The editing was really off this ep - it's not been a strong suit of this series but there were some really jarring scene changes. And it was so dull and repetitive.

There's not too much positive to say about this ep, except Pai looked sexy in that striped shirt.

Is there a different director for Love Storm and Love Sky ? because the editing is really weird. There were some…
The editing was terrible. When Pai asked Sky to clear his calendar and they were suddenly on the rooftop restaurant was jarring. I'm glad there wasn't yet another pointless school spirit scene, it needed some sort of transition.

I also agree about the chemistry. It's weird and not appealing. In Love Storm Sky was worldly and clever, and now he's become a twelve-year-old girl. It would be fun to have them verbally sparring, but it's just "Don't be mean to me." "Go away." "Don't be mean to me." "Go away."

It's so-so. It's kind of a copy of Rak Diao, but without the manic energy and chemistry. And fortunately without a laugh track. I was getting tired of Seo Jae Yoon's exaggerated sighs, and it's a little boring. But it's not horrible and the actors are attractive.
On Ghost Host, Ghost House Oct 20, 2022
I don't hate this, but it's a bit too slow and boring to like. Tod & Boy have potential as a couple, but they're "BL" dialogue is not very good. In general, though, I like that people occassionally do intelligent things, like how Kevin figured out who the right Pluem was.

I'm hoping it picks up next ep, because I've struggling a little to get through this.

I think that's actually harder, because you have to show emotion with subtle means. I think it's a lot easier to cry than it is to play a character like Tin.

I actually like this. I don't love it, but Ping is so cute and Meen is so sexy that it's hard to turn away from. It's not by any means good, but it's enjoyable fluff.

I hope it doesn't degenerate into the uke acting like sex is icky for all the remaining episodes. That would be tiresome. I was kind of hoping that when Nhai woke up that he was waking up Ai because he was horny, but nope, fear of ghosts. Because of course it was.

Fiat and Tonnam in one show is a blessing, but that trailer was full of every cliche in the trope bag. I really hope the writing is better than it looks. Na was a standout in KinnPorsche, so it will be interesting to see him as not evil.

Watch Love in the Air to see how it’s done. This series is so bad at literally EVERYTHING! Sigh now I am thinking…
Haha - too true.
On Oh! My Sunshine Night Oct 17, 2022
BL writers can only imagine one position for sex, and isn't a realistic one. You'd have to be precisely the right height to be able to just stand behind them and... you know. Plus, if you just stand there it doesn't really do much for anyone. That couple does nothing for me. Although it does more for me than Kim and Sun.

Did they only have enough budget to pay for Noh for 16 episodes or something? When the production staff were watching this, did they pick up that there was only one thing that peop;le would care about? They probably all fell into a coma and didn't notice. I have to have EMTs standing by to revive me after each episode, because I lose the will to live.

Below I commented that you should just imagine Physical Therapy lasting 20 episodes to make this series more palatable, but after this episode I think I've changed my mind.
