Can anyone who's complaining that this setup has nothing new please elaborate? Is it because you know who will…
I think rich kinds in high school might be a bit overdone, but has there ever even been a BL where you didn't know who would end up together before it even aired? I mean, the poster.
This has a few novelties - for example, it's not really clear if there is a seme and uke, and if there is, which is which. X is obviously pursuing Q, but Q is better built and more athletic.
I also like that it's a one-way enemies to lovers scenario - that's not really been done before, at least not openly. Sarawat wanted Tine from the beginning, but we didn't know that until halfway through - here it's clear immediately. X isn't really even hiding it - Q is just clueless.
Not a fan of the "flirting by bullying" storyline--seriously?
I didn't see any bullying - X didn't know Q was standing behind the door and asked if he needed help. Other than that it was really mild teasing, which Q kind of deserved for his overreacting. Unless you meant Q was being a bully - I'm not sure he was, but he was certainly a bit rude.
"Earth is such a terrible actor he's like a black hole of acting, that sucks all the life and light out of everything.…
Earth's performance makes me want to hit HIS head against the wall. I guess to me, Tae is passively bad, and Benz and Earth are actively bad, if that makes sense.
I hink thet series is not very good, but it's not because of Jimmy's acting. Where has this weird trend come from…
I don't think the acting is bad, i just dont think its spectacular. I think people are too harsh on Jimmy, and i dont think hes the problem. I think the problem is the bad writing and uninspired directing.

I hhink I disagree about Tae - I feel like he's improved. He was awful in that story with Chap, but better in the basketball series, and his flavor of awful was just a dreary dullness.
But I must have blocked out Benz. I think Earth is aggressively awful, but Benz is just... punchable. I'd like to punch him in the face, or maybe choke him a little, and I abhor violence.
i don't understand what the writers want me to take from their characters either,, that scene in the cafe?? when…
I'll probably quickly scan through future episodes for shirtless scenes because I'm shallow and both Jimmy and Sea are hotttttt. But I'm really disappointed in this series - I was excited about it. Jimmy, Sea, Ohm, and Nanon? It's like a dream buffet.
I've noticed that narratives tend to develop in BL fandom, and a large number of people jump aboard. One of them…
That could be. I think it's probably also a directing thing - Earth Pirapat isn't someone most people would have put on their top actor list until 1,000 Stars - as it turns out, the director of that series got a better performance out of him than the one for Water Boyy.
Dude was dropped from space into the drama lol. I wrote as much in my review.
Yes. I'm just grateful there was no accidental kiss, or Mark didn't trip and have Vee catch him so they could stare at each other for 45 minutes with their faces 3 inches apart. In BL there's a strict model of "seme" (masculine, top, always taller, almost always older) and "uke" (limited agency, bottom, more feminine, invariably shorter and usually younger). This series is practically revolutionary in that Mark is a better athlete than Vee. Normally the uke is essentially a 12-year old Victorian-era virgin, useless without a real man to protect and take care of him.

9 our of 10 BLs have a girlfriend, ex or current, show up in the second-to-last episode to ruin everything and create implausible drama, often with implausible misunderstandings. Sometimes she even messes things up if she's dead, like in 1,000 Stars.
I'm not sure a random cartoonish villain like we had here is much better, but it's at least a twist on the trope.
This is fair. I will say in its defense that it's a redo of a short series from a couple of years ago - it was 3 4-sp parts - Bar & his BF were one (with an incredibly creepy guy cast as Bar), Nuea and some other guy (same actor) and Vee and Mark (same actors, Yin has improved enormously).
They were stuck with a bag-of-cliches story and they made the disappointing decision to drag it out to 10 episodes rather than do a new story. The result is this meandering and repetitive mess. What sets this above many other BL series is the execution - the outstanding acting and the skilled production. I would give it higher than a 6 for those reasons, but it is a missed opportunity for sure to have produced a "10".
If BL is not your thing, maybe try I Told Sunset About You, which uses an original script instead of adapting from a bad novel and has many of the good qualities this has but also a coherent story and some crazy chemistry.
... isn't it kinda obvious that it takes place in the afterlife? It like two dead person meeting each other when…
Don't listen to any of the below - speculation is not spoiling. Plus, it's so obvious that if they couldn't figure it out they're not going to understand the series anyway. I mean, every single visual cue in this pointed straight in that direction - the rows of flowers forming a rainbow or the huge moon during daylight, or being able to make butterflies, teleporting to mountain tops, there being nobody else in the world...

I really like the main couple - I like that Q isn't a typical uke and is athletic and handsome, and X enjoys teasing Q without being an asshole.
The first part was really boring, though - I hope it keeps up the pace of the second half.
But seriously, it's nice to see an uke with agency.

Rossi is painfully cute - it actually hurts.
Here's a spolier: Darth Vader is Luke's father.
