Yes, it does encourage grooming. But that's hard to prevent even with strict age of consent laws, and you can't protect minors against family members who are the most likely abusers.

But even in Japan you'd have to be nuts to sleep with a minor - because your parents are still your guardians and have more or less final say about what's coercive.

It's not jail ime in Japan, though - the age of consent is 13, and the Japanese supreme court has ruled that relations between adolescents and adults are OK as long as there isn't coersion or abuse of authority and within the context of a relationship. Even if you're found guilty, it's a fine and a suspended sentence. The point is that Minato's concern is the age gap, as he's said, not legal issues. If that were the case he would just say "let's wait a couple of months until your 18" - and in any case there are no laws against dating, just sex.

I think BL actors have to take a course entitled "The infantilization of the Uke". Chapter 1 is nouth wiping, Ch 2 is buckling his seatbelt for him, Ch. 3 is giving him a piggy back ride whenever anything - like ANYTHING - is wrong with him. KinnPorsche and Triage look like The Godfather compared to disasters like this, but I wouldn't put either of them in the top tier, especially KinnPorsche which was very enjoyable but not really all that good. Anyway, along with Unforgotten Night and Check Out, we're in a valley. Hopefully there's a peak coming up.

Why is Kim acting like a petulant child? He was like, right there when they were shot at - how is it so beyond his understanding that Kamol wants him safe, or more, if Kim is around loved ones when they come for him, he'd be putting innocent people in danger? And is it not occurring to him that with his attitude he's completely ruining the vacation of a happy couple?

Why did they translate the distinctly English epithet "ding dong" into English? By "sea view", did Itt mean "tree"? How did Kim take a shower and get dressed in the 30 seconds between Kamol's two phone calls? Impressive.

How does one get sick by talking instead of showering in 31 degree weather?

And will someone explain to me why nobody in a BL will ever allow anyone to wipe their own mouth?
