From what I can tell it's well-written and interesting, and I know I really like the cast, but unless I want to try to translate it myself, I can't really follow the story. Whatever Pan was following is obviously very important to the story. Was he checking his own popularity? Phee's? Is he in love with Phee? In love with nobody? He had a very bad reaction to the producer - was that due to past trauma or does he hate being whored out like that and feel dirty?

Or is he germ-phobic? He didn't like being touched by those two actors, but he had no trouble having sex with Nott. Perhaps that's a mystery that we'll get an answer to - or maybe it's not a mystery and we already got an explanation but couldn't read it.

I'm usually OK with songs not being subtitled because you can usually find the lyrics easily. But in a case like this where the texts & posts are critical to understanding what's going on, it's too much.

Maybe I'd think about it if they subbed all of it didn't skip the two-thirds of the plot that is texts and social media posts, but as it is I have no idea what's happening.

I actually gave up watching it - if it was just a few texts you can get it by context - but I'm missing most of the plot.

I'm not watching. I tried, but two-thirds of the story is in the social media which isn't subitled, so there's no point. It's too hard to understand who everyone is and their relationships to each other and the public, and with such a huge cast, it's an issue.

Hopefully somone will do a fansub. I really dread BLs released like this - they don' care about the international audience.

I feel like if you're a BL fan, you should have a GagaOOlala subscription and probably a Viki one too - maybe even IQ. But come on. If I want to watch everything legally it will cost $100 a month. Enough is enough!

OFC was very special - I agree Laundromat is not up to the same standard. Love Mechanics is stuck with an old plot, which is why I wish they'd made it a continuation rather than a remake, but it does take the formula in new directions by not having all the characters as 2D archetypes. Mark and Vee are both flawed people, Ploy is not scheming or a bad person, even Bar can be hypocritical. Mark is not a useless uke - he's even a better athlete than Vee. And I like that the production is not stingy about exploiting War for his hot body, but I'm shallow. PLus the acting is unusually good - some of the best I've seen in BL.

My fear is that the endless stream of formulaic series with bad amateur actors and stuffed with tired tropes will burn out the genre.

I'm normally an anti-pirate absolutist, but BL is out of control. I'm not paying for 50 channels and services.

I think it dipped to 7.3 for a bit then went back to 7.4. But there are a lot of people who really like boring stories where everyone is sweet to each other. Whereas it gives me diabeties and puts me in a coma.

You're so right abou Kdramas - in Thai BL they just comb their hair into aggressive bangs to make them look younger.

I'm glad it's not just me about the haircut. I'm not a huge fan of style right now, largely because I was around for the original 80s and this is he second revival. It feels like people are deliberately trying not to look their best. I don't even get he tuck in the front, untuck the bcak.

But I will say if they want to make Pavel look older, it's not going to be wih a haircut. Even when he's 50 he's going to have a pretty, boyish face. If they want to make him look older, then just take off his shirt and show us that man-body. There's no boy down there.

A handsome fat Thai-Canadian moves home where he meets a tall, skinny Chinese aristocrat with nice legs. Meanwhile a motorcycle finds a lover, and an exchange student falls for an Asian wizard. They pee for a while, have a fight, and fall in love while lying down somewhere.

It doesn't get better, although Duean's brother is kind of hot, and I like the guy in the band that played the bully Arthur in Second Chance. But it's still not worh sitting through. I also watched 2moons2 just to ogle him.

I almost had a heart attack there - you're talking about the other Benz. I was thinking "what evil person would cast this whiny little sh$% with BOTH members of another couple?"

The other Benz (Natthapong) is a cutie, and I'm looking forward to The Theory, plus my obsession, Ken Prarunyu, is in it.

They're both really, really annoying - I guess I find Best more appealing than Benz (on a purely superficial level) and also Nuea wasn't annoying in the special episode - which I have a hard time believing was made by the same people, because it was actually good.

Check Out is probably objectively worse than Coffee Melody, but there's a point where I'm only in it for the skin, and I think Check Out might be superior in that regard, although Pavel is pretty high on the list...

I just don't understand what the point of this series is - it's about a songwriter and a band, and there's no music in it! What's the conflict? Both boy liked each other from Ep 1, so where does it go? It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Maybe I'll put it on pause and check back with what everyone else thinks. On the other hand, it airs on Monday so it's the only thing on, so I'll probably just watch it.

This is so bland though - yes, the characters are not all awful people like in Check Out, but I can at least ff through it for scenes where people take off their clothes, which is frequent. Here I find Duean almost supernaturally annoying - even more than Daonuea in CO, and he's in every scene.

What is this series even about? There's no plot except an icky guy coming on to a boring barrista. I don't even understand how it's possible to make Pavel that bland.

That is a good point - I do often rant and rave about plots revolving around implausible misunderstandings. I guess here I dislike Duean Yi so intensely that his directness isn't a plus for me. I wish he'd go directly to South America and stay there.
