I can understand that. I'm not sure Ohm is conventionally attractive (well, he certainly is from the neck down...) as his face tends toward cute rather than handsome. I like muscles so Nanon isn't my type, but he has really beautiful eyes and he's a really good actor.

I also liked Where Your Eyes Linger, but Semantic Error is my favorite and My Star 1 right behind that.

I felt Blueming was bland too. I checked out the Manhwa to see if something was lost, and it was. The source material is quite funny. The main character is a narcissist, but the love interest is an even more horrendous narcissist and really IS trying to steal his spotlight, so it was a diva battle. They toned down the series so much that it was just dull.

For some reason Korean shows seem to bring out people's passions. In general they're very well acted by unusually beautiful men (as was this series), so that's probably part of it. And some of the absolute best BLs are Korean. But sometimes a story is complete and does't benefit from being extended - sometimes quite the opposite.

My pleasure. While this sequel was a disappointment, the original short was really lovely and worth watching.

That's a good point - I was really put off by the trailer, but the cast will make me check it out.

Mek is naturally very sexy - he has chemistry with anyone just by showing up. That's why I found myself shippping him with Daonuea. It's wrong, but it would have been hot, and Fah clearly has brother issues anyway.

Well for me Prince & Kluen weren't acting - they were just standing around and could have been replaced by posters without anyone noticing. So I guess that would technically make Dunk the worst. He had the worst character, though - a whiny brat, and you have to admit he nailed that.

I actually just meant that Fah & Dao's interaction was the best thing about Star In My Mind, and I find Mek & Dunk the most physically attractive of the four. I have to grant to Joong that he did pull off behaving like he loved Dao in this special ep, and in that category he was better than anyone else.

While even Mek was not all that good, you have to have some sympathy - having to endlessly spout awful cheesy lines must be tiring - and embarassing. But at least you couldn't replace him with a cardboard cutout like you could with Prince. Actually, that probably would have given the pairing more chemistry. I might be in a bitchy mood today.

Are you sure it's by the same author? I will admit that gives me some hope. But This is the same production company as Star & Sky.

A good novel is a positive start, as is a good cast, but directors, producers, screenwriters, & editors all have a huge impact on the end result.

I agree with your analysis. However, even though the cast of this would normally get me excited, its the same production as Star & Sky, so I can't help but presuppose it will be sickening.

That was so bad it's hard to belive anyone read the script before they filmed it. Or auditioned any of the actors.

I agree that their chemistry was "better", but using the word "superior" in that sentence feels out of place. Prince/Fah had better chemistry than Daonuea/Kluen much like salt water has a stronger taste than unfiltered tap water. Salt water will dehydrate you, but you won't get a parasite from it.

Daonuea and Fah had much better chemistry than either couple. And it would have been the only unpredicatable thing to happen in the entire Star & Sky tub of molasses.

Absolutely not. I couldn't even make it through the trailer it looks so bad, and it has actors in it I really like - an unoriginal bag of tropes. The trailer was a checklist - fall on each other and stare? Check. Violate his personal space to fasten his seatbelt as if he were four years old, check. Ugh.

What a disappointment. Just Neo alone makes me excited for a series, let alone the others, but this is on my skip list.

"I'm not into guys". Film says he was just playing Kong to get new experiences, but agrees to be his boyfriend (sort of - he doesn't say it). Essenially "I'm not gay, I only like you, and never have an never will like any other guy than you forever and ever, Amen."

Thee reason it makes me crazy is it comes from homophobia - in some BLs one or more boys have to be forced, because sexual assault is less morally objectionable than a man seeking sexual pleasure with another man.

In general, the lovely sweet and romantic tone of the first part (Once in Memory: Love at First Sight) is abandoned to make both boys narcissistic douchebags, especially Film.

Sometimes they just stare at each other for 45 minutes, but that's almost always when the uke trips and the seme catches him. I'm just happy there was no accidental kiss. The only one that was acceptable was in Love Stage, where one of them lost a tooth from it.

It appears that Akira is gay. The woman may be his sister or something, or a high school girlfriend. I'm about as gay as gay gets, and I had a high school girlfriend.

Years later she outed me to some people, which I didn't appreciate. I got her back my claiming dating her turned me gay. It was fun to watch her face fall, but I couldn't keep a straight face too long.

Oh, wow. Trans charCters ate usually comic relief and pathetic exvept for Jennie. Thats grest if they handle it right.
