Gawin didnt act "pretty well" in Not Me, he was spectacular. Incidentally, your sarcasm meter needs some tuning.

It's hard to tell what any of his facial features look like with the soft-focus filter turned up so high. Whenver I watch this I'm afraid I have cataracts.

Fine, but then why not let him start with side roles until then? There are two snails in my yard copulating that are more pleasant to watch than this couple.

Title Enchanté
There's something in Akk's room.

What a great idea the producers had to hire ugly, unappealling and talentless actors like Gawin and Fluke as minor characters and casting the best actors that have ever lived for the main roles. Every time Gawin appears onscreen I think "thank God they didn't put him in a main role. Nobody wants to see that. Eww."

Why is Theo stirring hard-boiled eggs, and why is he too stupid to be able to do it without injury? Why did they allow an uke into a kitchen when there's a 100% certainty he'll be hurt? That's irresponsible. Next they'll let him play basketball and there will be a hospitalization.

My brother found a copy of a childhood book we used to have and gave to me for Christmas. It's about a hedgehog brother and sister that don't get along but learn that it's more fun to play together than alone. I feel like I'm watching a live-action version of that because that's about the same amount of heat that's between Akk and Theo. What do grown 20-something men do with passion repressed for 10 years? Get sweaty behind a locked door for three days? No. Go on a picnic culminating in a kiss on the cheek.
On Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul Mar 25, 2022
Hmm. It was OK until the accidental kiss - that scene was really stupid. I guess my main issue with this is that the main charater is really unappealing and his acting is weak. He only seems to have one facial expression - his reaction to dropping a pen was exactly the same as a soul-reaper showing up to take his patient. I don't get why they didn't give that role to Yacht, or Doctor Por, who is really cute in this. That we all hate him is because he's a really good actor.

I really love Karn - he's wonderful, looking so severe and sexy as a reaper and so sexy and cute in his hawaiian shirt.

I didn't realie that Phob's father was a hospital administrator. Good to know.

Anyway, this is distinctly average - I don't know if I'll ever be able to get into it with such a dud as the main character.
On Cherry Blossoms after Winter Mar 25, 2022
This is going to sound bad, but although Kang Hui is doing a great acting job, I think he's miscast. Taesung needs to be more of a fantasy figure, and with a Haebom that's so overwhelmingly beautiful, Taesung is plain-looking in comparison (even though he's tall and handsome).

Anyway, it still works and that kissing scene was excellent. It was fairly chaste, but the way their bodies relaxed into it made it feel genuine. In so many physical scenes, the actors are so tensed up it feels more like they're about to have a martial arts battle than a love scene.

I've commented once when I watched till episode 8. Now I'm at episode 11 and my view of the show has not changed.…
I think Cutie Pie is a formulaic, repetitive, poorly written mess. You're My Sky is so far superior in every way it astonishes me that you would feel this way. I gave up on Cutie Pie in Ep 3 it was so bad, and I love three of the four main actors.

When was Dome ever an a*hole? I don't get why everyone hates him so much - Vee started all this - Dome is a confused teen. Give him a break.

You can disagree that it's bad to give a platform to someone who romanticizes rape, but it's not petty. It's a…
Regarding TharnType, while it's possible to rape a man by giving him a blow-job, it's extremely unlikely to work for obvious anatomical reasons without viagra and restraints. I think people sometimes confuse "aggressive" with "rape". Aslo, the idea that you can't consent if you've been drinking is taken to extremes. If you're unresponsive, then yes, that's rape. If you're just inebriated, then probably not. That would mean I've been raped too many times to even count. In fact, that means I and a partner have repeatedly raped each other simultaneously - which doesn't really make sense.

Pedophilia is whatever it's defined to be in any given country's laws. I think it's much worse if it's a pre-pubescent child, just like first-degree murder is worse than manslaughter. But I can't think of a case in any BL where this has come up - most BLs have people in their 20s barely getting physical.

That has to be a behind-the-scenes, I think. Unless they plan to flesh out Dream & Luck's story.
That was really WTF, wasn't it. I don't know why it was there unless it was a teaser for a spinoff. Maybe "Something on My Roof"

I don't agree with the POV that young teens can't distinguish between fiction and reality and right & wrong, I think they can - I was saying that having a problem with BL rape is a legitimate POV and it's not petty. "Mame is ugly" is a petty opinion. "romanticizing rape in fiction is unacceptable" is not a petty opinion, even though I don't agree with it.

I was also saying that just because an author writes characters that do bad things doesn't make her a bad person.

The uncut version is so, so much better - I recommend you watch it when you can. They cut a lot of important parts…
I summarized all the cut scenes in the discussion section up above, but the ending was not substantially different. After the initial credits there's a scene where a (scary-type) ghost wanders into the house while another walks by. It doesn't really affect the main ending.
On Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul Mar 24, 2022
Well, it appears to be gone. The thumbnails are on World of BL, and I see they have that wide-eyed response to what I presume from what's noted below is an accidental kiss, a clear indicator of creative bankruptcy. That they couldn't even be bothered to check the grammar of the title was already a pretty good indicator of their laziness.

But they were clever and cast Yacht, so I'll probably watch it anyway.

Review Something in My Room Spoiler
I thought the ending was perfect. They did explain why Phob didn't turn into an evil ghost, and it wasn't cut out. It was Phat's inability to let him go that was keeping him here, and in the scene on the bed, Phat lets go and Phob goes to heaven, or wherever.
On Something in My Room Mar 24, 2022
I summarized the cut scenes in the discussion section above. They cut out almost all the kissing scenes, which were really good - the actors were very comfortable with each other and it showed.

This is one of those rare occassions where a series ended pitch-perfectly. Although I'm pretty sure Phat will still be gorgeous when he's older.

The whole series was brilliantly written, and it has to be very personal to the writer - I think that was already clear from the scenes with Phob's mother and Green's role, but the finale cements that.

I loved that all the characters were complex, and both mothers were flawed and selfish in some ways like normal human beings. Phob's father was also a well-drawn character.

The acting was extremely good in this. Dream might have been a little weaker in comparison to the main pair, but she was still a lot better than the average BL actor.

The music was really beautiful in this series - from good use of classical music to the score. It was a nice touch that the opening credits music was a darker version.

This is a 10/10 for me.

Just a random ghost. I think it just shows that the cycle continues, but it's mostly because horror stories always have something ominous at the very end, especially post-credits.
