Title My Ride
When Toy messed up the books I would have kicked him in the groin and thrown him out in the rain. I really dislike…
That was ridiculous. Teasing would have been ONE book out of place. To do that to the entire library wasn't teasing - it was aggression and bullying. I'm not at all a perfectionist and I wouldn't have any tolerance for that. I don't know why they wrote this character this way (or at all). Dr. Boss is adorable, and Yoon is a handsome and sexy guy, but this romance has nothing to do with the rest of the plot whatsoever and feels like it was written by some mean person and then stapled to a competely different script. They should have left Nadia's story as m/m like in the source material and given it more prominence instead. Class difference is an interesting thing to explore because it's probably the most difficult barrier to overcome in a relationship and there was plenty of room for story and character development there.

Yes, that scene was funny but in a bad way. Mork didn't behave like a guy but more like a girl if he had to close…
A guy who self-identifies as straight is likely to feel awkward stripping a gay guy, especially if he's in denial like Mork is - I was younger than Mork at that point in life, but a guy I liked undressing in front of me was incredibly uncomfortable because I'd want things I didn't really understand.

But if grown men acting like 12-year old girls in a BL is a suprise to you, this must be your first? (That was a joke).

Title The Tuxedo
As soon as they mention that Art is an adopted brother and that he must share a room with Oab I start to think…
This is so bad I can't believe it. Eps 1 & 2 were terrible, but Chap looks so transcendently good in a towel that I was drawn back against my will.

Anyway, Something In My Room is fantastic, but even in that context Green was a captivating performer for what was essentially a guest role - and he's a dancer too, although that's no suprise given how... well his trousers fit. But in this he's... there I guess?

The as-yet-unseen Thawiin is played by a 16-year old actor, so I doubt they'll pair him with someone who looks like a child molester. He may be a pairing for Art. But as this is a very short series, is there even room for a secondary couple? That was 3 out of 8 and almost nothing has happened yet.

What a complete and disappointing waste.

Is this worth watching??
There's a scene with Chap in nothing but a towel that's worth watching, but other than that, no.

Hands up, those who ever happened to slip in the bathroom and fall into a bathtube full of water with the person…
It's easier to ask when has that NOT happened to me.

I think you're not enjoying this one for two reasons: 1) You're watching it between two other more strongly written…
Probably because he looks more Western. The stars that get the most swoons are people like Bright (Sarawat), who to me looks like a slightly-above-average American actor, whereas I think Tine was gorgeous.

To be fair, Book is playing a terribly written character - if you see him in interviews he's a lot more attrative and charming than in the series - Theo is just dull, and he would be no matter who played him. What is his character? What defines him? Nothing. Is he smart and studious? Into sports? A musician? Have any ambitions or goals? Any quirky traits? Even his relationship with Akk is one-way - he takes, but never gives anything, Akk supports Theo even if he thinks he's making a mistake, is loyal and always has his back - but what does Theo ever do for him? He's not once asked Theo how he feels, if he's OK, or so much as disussed any aspect of Akk's like. He's basically just a less annoying (2moons/Gen Y) Wayo.

I think characters are like are just the writer inserting herself into the story so she can have her fantay boyfriends. Notice how everyone always wants these dull guys? Are you expecting me to believe that everyone is pining after Theo when Saifah is RIGHT THERE. Not to mention Akk.

The first 4 episodes was promising , it was funny and cool, but then episode 5 was disappointing , slow, boring,…
There do seem to be a lot of Thai series that are trying to exploit the genre for commercial purposes. There are times when the entire momentum of the story comes to a screeching halt so people can have a refreshing drink.

But there definitely seems to be a Thai BL machine that wants the formula. The novel 1,000 Stars didn't have the stupid drama near the end, and Torfun had no role in the story like she did in the series, because there has to be a love triange involving a woman or it's all too gay, and they love to lean really heavily on implausible failure of communication. It doesn't make for compelling viewing - it's just frustrating because it takes the place of character and plot development.

I think it's fine to have a character who's personality is not very communicative, but that has to be overcome, not repeated over and over - and in the case of this series, if BOTH the leads are totally non-communicative - it's really, really dull.

Yeah, I didn't get it either. There was literally no reason for Theo not to just say, Hey, Akk, it's been a long…
That would have been a better strategy for Theo - his body is about all he has going for him. People have asked "why didn't Hamlet just kill his uncle?" Obviously because if he had there would be no play - but at least Hamlet was a pretty good troll, not a boring mopey guy.

The basic ideas of the plot were sound - it's the execution that sucked. If you're going to do the book thing, then build Enchante into someone Akk is jealous of and considers a threat. Instead it made him depressed that Theo cared more about whovever scribbled a few words into a library book than him. Also, people who ruin books should be killed.

These are good points. I have two counters: We don't care about Enchante, but it's taken up a huge amount of the run time, which is boring. Also, Akk is charming and hot, but to be generous, Theo is below average as a romantic lead. (BTW, My Ride is very good - there are also lethal dimples present).

The writer(s) who made this show really do not understand the concept of show not tell at all. I should not feel…
I think what they really need to do is stop adapting novels and start writing original screenplays. That's never going to happen, so Plan B should be to hire people who know how to write screenplays. It's exactly what you said - way too much tell, not enough show.

This isn't terrible - and the overall pacing isn't bad - but the pacing of each scene is glacial. How many times did someone ask someone else "what's wrong?" and be answered "Nothing"? I thought I'd fallen into some sort of time-loop where I was doomed to relive the same moment over and over for all eternity.

I like the characters - except, regretfully, the main character. He's just grumpy and gloomy all the time, and the only emotions he ever displays are negative - jealousy and gay-panic are about it. Is this a BL? The only moments of BL were one kiss in Ep 1 and Saint. There's no spark of any kind between the main couple. I'm giving this one more Ep and then giving up.

Episode 5 will get a lot of hate on here. I loved it. I'll take this series over any number of lazily-produced…
I can't agree with you. Far from being lazy, it must have taken an enormous amount of concerted effort to makes something as awful as Gen Y S2. It can't have been by accident. I don't have a strong preference between Saint and So, but I have a strong preference for them to get together with each other and kick Debbie Downer to the curb.

But seriously, the pacing is fine, it's just that every conversation has to be laboriously long, with people taking 15 minute pauses between each line. It's difficult to keep my mind on something when the pauses are so long that I have time to thinking about something else, finish thinking about that, then think about a different something else, On the bright side, between the pauses I can use the restroom or write an opera.

And you have to admit the kitchen scene was endless.

I love how they literally MADE OUT and still didn’t confess their feelings for each other 😭
Not jus tthat, but Nuea was grinding into Toh while NAKED then picked him up and tossed him into his bed while NAKED and Toh still can't read anything into this. But at least Toh is an idiot. But Nuea can't figure anything out with Toh staring at him and nervously giggling 24/7? Sigh.
On Secret Crush on You Mar 19, 2022
TBH, this ep used up my patience - this is so repetitive - Nuea says something. Toh stares at him for several hours and never reponds. Nuea slowly unbuttons his shirt then whips it off, presses his naked torso, and sometimes his entire naked body against Toh, who pulls away. Over and over and over and over. Boring.

I thought from last ep and the naked grinding and multiple makeout sessions that this would be progressing, but it's still exactly where it was in Ep 1.

I'm not sure even Jao is enough to get me to sit through 8 more episodes of this.

For real. There's a saying: "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good." This is a cute series and pitched…
Yes - why would you set up this who family conflict thing, deliberately invoking Romeo & Juliet, and then make it have no importance to the plot? The best dramatic tension was with Wai, but then even that just... went away for... reasons, I guess.

Enchante would have been a much better story if it had followed Theo's intended plan, and maybe Akk could be less obviously totally in love with him. Neither the audience nor Theo should be sure Akk loves him - then it would mean something when he confesses. Saifah should look like a serious rival (It's Gawin. It's not hard.) and then everthing at the end of this ep would have had way more impact.

Phat could always commit suicide if he really wants to stay with Phob, but they'll both end up as crazy monster ghosts. That probably wasn't very helpful.
