I didn't like it very much - the writing isn't very good. If you're going to use an established creature like a vampire, then don't totally change them - make it something else or mutant or something. And then don't give us a lengthy exposition about those characteristics - show us, don't tell us. For example - there's a scene where bargain-basement Sarawat hypnotizes someone and his eyes turn blue. That's all you needed - there was no need for the line at the beginning "when a vampire hypnotizes someone his eyes turn blue." With 10 minutes of run time, you can't waste any.
So vampires 1) eyes turn blue when hypnotizing. 2) Fade away ten years after killing a human (wtf?) 3) Every 100 years a "pureblood" human is born 4) and a vampire can instantly sense them (but apparently only if they touch his blood, since he sat bahind him in class and never noticed) 5) Purebood blood will turn a vampire human 6) but only if you make them fall in love with you first.
That's just a bunch of silly rules to force the plot to go where the author wants. For example, they wanted the main character to be sick, so rule #2 was clumsily inserted. Color Rush had a similar setup, but it was creative and interesting.
And again, an uke is incapable of climbing a staircase without tripping.
As usual, the seme is "straight", but the uke is explicitly gay, which is some sort of progress, I guess. The whole cast is really attractive and the acting is pretty good.
This episode is actually better in the cut version. There are four cut scenes, which I've described in the discussion area, Only one has any significance (involving the landlady), and one is so long and boring that it really ruined the episode and it's much, much better without it. It looks like the cut version drastically reduces Dream's role in the story. It is confirmed that the guardian spirit can only protect the house & grounds, but nothing can get past him, not even an army of hostile ghosts - Dream describes him as "very powerful".
The only cute thing ommitted is Phat tries to ask his mother if she knows anything about anyone dying, and she's annoyed because she's trying to watch Lovely Writer. She urges Phat to get a boyfriend like Kao "handsome and with sixpack abs".
Anyway, this was a great episode, keeping the horror vibe but also gradually advancing the BL.

Not the acting, which I thought was quite good - the story itself Judging by the anime and Japanese version, this was intended to be a bit whacky - so the understated Thai style might not suit the story - but we'll see.
Well, that was especially excruciating, even by the standards of this show. Here's what happened (spoiler free):
- Wayu finally shows agency. Then mopes for the rest of the ep. - Mark proves he has an object permanence capability inferior to an infant's. (How do you know he's fine? Because he said so. Gosh, if only there was some technology available that allows us to see people without actually being in their presence. Someone should look into that - they could make a lot of money.) I kept advancing the video by 10 seconds to escape that scene but it never changed! - Pok ruins everything again by "helping".
That's it. That's all that happened in the entire episode. Oh, and a description of a school activity - not an actual activity, but people standing around in a room talking about it, for a third of the entire episode. Another third was burned up by a weird staring session between Thanu and Wayu. I figured out what's wrong. They look like frogs when they do that - check our their blinking. It's frog-like. Again I kept advancing that scene 10 seconds and I had to give up because my hand was getting cramped.
Also, people put glue in incomprehensible places. Why would anyone do that?
This leaves us with 20 seconds of interesting material, all containing Sandee. I loved the casting for him in the school play. Even Jack and Koh are getting old - that scene was 100% predictable from the moment it started.
Why do we all love Sandee so much? I don't think we question it, but what is it? I think 1) he's incredibly good-looking, 2) by far the best actor in this iseries (although Big was really good this ep too) 3) He's the only one who has interesting lines. 4) Nothing makes him flinch. Does that make sense, or is it more?
When he's on screen it's like someone switched on the air conditioner in a stifling hot and humid room. Check out his incredibly subtle eyebrow moves after he confronts Tong - genius.
I watched the teaser and I was a little let down. great production and all but the show seems to be a lot fluffier…
That's true - Why RU wasn't really his fault and he was at least trying something different with YYY, which I really enjoyed. But this series looks sooooooo conventional - I'm not really expecting much at this point. I'll bet you right now that someone will trip and be caught and stared at, there will be at least one piggyback ride, patdown with damp towel, dabbing with yellow q-tip, fear of a ghost, hair-drying scene, and an evil girfriend.
So funny you mention My Mate Match. All the while watching that show, I was looking forward to seeing the actors…
That would be great - there would have to be some sort of crisis since they're already together, but I would love to see more of these guys. Maybe they could find someone who is not Bas to pair with Big.
Hmm. It was OK. A little on the silly side without actually being funny, which is not my favorite. However, Anda's brother is so hot that I can't not watch this. Turbo is cute, but they really over-primped Kaownah - he looks like a mannequin. I hope he gets to be more natural once we get into the story.
The trailer was a real disappointment - I was looking foward to this one. The plot is so unoriginal that they could have just taken any other trailer and pasted the actors faces over the old ones.
This is the director of Love SIck 2 and all the Make It Right series, so I guess having expectations was a bad idea. Maybe if it's like the ghost episode of Y-Destiny it could be good.
