And absolutely nothing happened. Nothing. Not one little thing. Lots of staring and a 75-minute long lean-in for a kiss, predictably interrupted. If you take 75 minutes to lean in for a kiss, it's almost inevitable that you'll be interrupted, but they never seem to learn. Well, I guess Pok got back on track, and it was revealed that Sandee is poor at set painting.
As for the love triangle, excruciating has become too mild a word, and it literally means "as fun as being nailed to a cross". My vote would be for a grand piano to fall on Wayu and Thana and forPha to take a long shower. Or three showers. Three would be better.
Tell me: What has happened this entire season? Enough to fill one episode at most:
-All of Thailand's white lipstick has been diverted to the hospital set. -Mark and Kit are practicing being apart by being apart. (Riveting viewing.) -Sandee did mean things on behalf of Phai until he was shown a tattoo, which somehow mattered. -Wayu and Thanu stare at each other a lot and appear to have an interest in archery, although Thanu denies this is the case. -KohJack continue to court Wayu even though Sandee is single. -Tong tried to help, which didn't help, but then it helped. -A meteor regrettably missed the earth. -There is apparently going to be a play performed, which I assume will happen offscreen because it may threaten to be interesting.
What else has happened? Nothing. It's as if the writer thought "how can I make an audience cease to care about beloved characters?" Every aspect of the plot requires characters to be totally incapable of simple communication.
It's pretty bad.. I was actually excited to watch this since I loved the anime but everything about this is just...meh…
I didn't even realize they were trying to be funny (slight exaggertion). I thought wrestling over the alarm clock was funny, but that's the only thing that's made me laugh so far.
Unfortunately, Anda has more chemistry with his brother than with Ryo.
I can't believe they are making "Limited Edition Part 2", WTF were they thinking?!! hahaa
OMG. Why. Jomari is pretty good, and he's cute, but he was wasted in this. Maybe what's-his-name will die and Ron Angeles can finally catch a break - it seems like his role in everything he's in is to not get the guy.
I liked the season1. Will I be disappointed with this season2?Is Gian Bernadino hotter than Alex Diaz(oh mando)?…
I think S2 was a disappointment - it's kind of pointless, and contradicts many of the themes of the first season. TBH, I Barely remember it. Gian does a good job in this, but you have to work hard to be as hot as Alex Diaz - I think Royce Cabrera may be a match for him, though.
Wait - he just grabbed "her" by the hair? What kind of a brute would do that? That's really violent - imagine if that had been real hair!
This is not very good - the acting is quite bad - the only scene that I really liked was Anda and his brother fighting over the clock, which was really cute, Turbo only has one setting: "pout". Kaownah is pretty good though - he showed the right amount of shock and his polite coldness was well done...
... for a drama. This story is a comedy, and they're playing it very serious, which really doesn't work. It makes the attempts at comedy fall mostly flat. Ryo is obviously crushed and was terribly mistreated, so nothing is really funny. I don't think the very understated Thai style works for a madcap comedy story. I'm a little disappointed in this - I was really looking forward to it.
Luke and Calix fall on top of each other so much now. It must be the only trope that the production company could…
Luke and Calix are falling in love with each other, except unfortunately the falling is literal and the love is non-existent. It's the only source of intimacy between them - I suppose it's better than a high-five, but it's LOL funny when it happens now - it's like Kenny's death every episode of South Park.
I do scan through this show to see if anything will ever happen (apparently not. I admit the opening shot might have drawn me in, too.), and I think this series may win the award for creative bankruptcy. How many times can Luke and Calix and fall on each other? It's already a tired enough cliche, but in this series it's the sole source of intimacy between the lead couple. The writer apparently has no idea how to transition from enemies to lovers, so they're just going to fall on each other until they're a couple, I guess.
I'd love to see some of these actors in a better production - especially LJ.
Haha. I saw the title didn't care to watch the first one and looks like I won't be with this one. I always find…
That would probably be my list too. Quaranthings 1 was also pretty good. Of your list 1 & 4 are my favorites. I like series that take advantage of the visual medium, and these do. Filipino BL is hit or miss - when it's bad, it's BAD, but they also have some of the best BLs ever made. Lately, it's been a bit rough. I do like that there's an attempt to try new things instead of just go with the formula like a lot of Thai series do.
I can already see the BL community canceling this show even if it is good. If it’s not fluffy, happy-go-lucky,…
Yup, they even have talking points that get repeated over and over: its "awkward" and "immature" or "childish" and Yoon is "stiff". Is there some chatgroup or mailing list or something?
It's hard to imagine a BL fan referring to anything as "childish" with no irony, but there it is. The most popular BL at the moment is about a guy who replaces his twin in a motorcycle gang (it's actually pretty good but the premise is "awkward and immature".)
That didn't quite work for me - the first season was really beautiful and this season cancels out everything - it's too contradictory. It's also a bit shouty and preachy.
However, if that's what God looks like, I need to get religion.
IDK. Technically fine, but the idea that he's going to challenge our idea of beauty by painting (checks notes)…
There are definitely nose types that are fashionable - a lot of nose jobs going on. I have thing for East Asian men, so I don't get the fascination for foreign features. I definitely agree about the colorism. It's worst in Vietnam - there was a BL where a character showed up literally in blackface and everyone thought he was ugly, then he used whitening cream (which was of course the sponsor) and he was suddenly the hottest guy in school - that left me slack-jawed.
Hahaa you're definitely on point with this!I have one question is June a girl or a boy? lol. Why is there a 3rd…
I was wondering the same thing about June but afraid everyone would yell at me if I asked. Th actor is identified as "male" on this site, but that might just have been someone guessing. It doesn't help that June is a girl's name in English. I think maybe it's supposed to be a bit ambiguous.
Omg yess !! The way Gawin and Off both portrayed their characters raw emotions just had me reeling , like it was…
I had no particular objection to Gawin being naked, either. I'm not sure Yok is going to change anyone's perception of beauty with THAT as his subject. It's kind of like trying to change people's perception of dessert by using chocolate.
But anyway, Gawin was so powerful in that scene - there's nothing more captivating than vulnerability & strength together.
Did anyone else find the kiss between Sean and Black to come without enough build up from prior episodes? I mean,…
It was just a kiss, not a marriage proposal. I thought it was more than adequately prepared. I think people are missing all the wonderful subtlety of Off & Gun's performances - the smoldering looks, invading each other's space, strangulation, sleeping together, etc.
And absolutely nothing happened. Nothing. Not one little thing. Lots of staring and a 75-minute long lean-in for a kiss, predictably interrupted.
