Well, that's going to traumatize BL audiences. I really liked it, but there's not a lot of "boy" going on there, but lots of "love". If you are put of by raw male sexuality, you'd better skip this.
It's surreal and nightmarish, with a lot of symbolism and allegory, and it's helpful to have at least a basic background in Christianity, but not necessary.
I won't pretend. I almost always find your opinions about the shows we're both watching **begrudgingly** sobering,…
I like KimCop a lot too, but I want to see the focus on them! If a piano fell on Wayu I wouldn't be bothered - more screentime freed up for our boys. Also, like you point out, they are so funny together, so I hate to see them wasted on the same "don't touch me" routine - they can do way more than that. I would love to see Copter go "full Morticia". Kit not letting Mark touch him because he's pissed off at something I can buy and welcome - but it's a little silly (and uncreative) for him to act like he was in this ep if they're living together.
Jomari is adorable in this and had a nice body. And he can do sexy/sleazy, too, like in BXJF. I think maybe what makes him sort of unappealing in this series is his character acts like he's 12 and his best friend appears to have escaped from a cartoon.
Well, that was terrible. That has to be one of the best-looking casts of all time, but the writing... I think from a Western perspective, people have to be held accountable for bad actions, regardless of subsequent atonement. If you, for example, frame someone for wrongdoing in a hotel job, you should be fired or even prosecuted. But in many Thai dramas, all that's needed is repentence and all is forgiven - in fact horrible people are often rewarded just for apologizing. Remember He's Coming to Me? "Sorry for the first degree murder." "Well, if you're sorry, it's OK." Likewise, the two most horrible people in this drama walk away with everything, and the best person suffers the most.
The BL couple is there. And very there in ep 11, which was one of the better fulfillments we've gotten in BL, but it's not really worth slogging through this mess. Pleum Nachkhun is someone I would really like to see again.
Tae was excellent in Ep 10 with powerhouse performances from him and his mother. if you're not in tears in the ep, there may be something wrong with you. He's always stood out for me in otherwise insipid dramas like 2moons, and I love him in Paint With Love, but here he's in the top acting tier.
They're exactly the same, and Gen Y was explicitly written as 2 moons fanfic. Don't you think it's incredibly conincidental that they cast the same actors in more or less the same roles and barely even changed the names? Wayu is a mopey super-rich kid with a guy who studies medicine named Pha as his first love, Kit is grumpy, etc. They even all have the same majors.
Ron doesn't look better than Andrew on this show with that awful hair, but he's usually quite hot. IMO Asians have the most beautiful hair and I don't know why they don't just leave it alone. Although I guess if you live somewhere where 95% of people have straight black hair you might want to change it up sometimes.
i thought this season 2 will be focus on Mark-Kit.. well, after the 1st episode, i think i already wrong.. 😔
There's not enough room to accommodate both Mark-Kit and Wayu's moping. Wayu's moping must always take precedence. This is so important that flashbacks of Wayu moping must also take precedence over things we actually care about.
This is so incompetently written that it's difficult to believe anyone would sink any money into this disaster. What is the plot? Wayu mopes about absolutely nothing, then he finally gets over it, then an ant attack (on someone else that he doesnt like) makes him relapse into moping. Over what? Having a hot guy 1,000% committed to him? If his mopey hesitation was due to lingering feelings for Pha, then I could buy it, but he's jealous of an underaged child who has absolutely no interest in getting between him an Thanu.
But beyond this nonsensical storyline that just makes the lead character look like an idiotic child, most of this episodes was flashbacks! Flashbacks to scenes between him an Thanu that could just have been, well, scenes between him and Thanu. There are flashbacks to people staring at each other (mopingly, naturally). And Kit and Mark LIVE TOGETHER but still Kit acts like a 19th c virgin whenever Mark tries to get affectionate with him. And the lines that are supposed to sound romantic or meaningful are just stupid and vapid.
And the staggring lack of creativity - engineers and moons? Seriously? Is there a cliche or trope we're missing here? Would anyone like to place bets that there will be a piggy-back ride, hair-drying scene, damp towel wipedown, and gross yellow q-tip lip-corner-dab? Fear of ghosts, check phone when alarm goes off and yell "shit, I'm late!" even though he had set the alarm for that time, accidental kiss, patronizing head-pat, and contracting a fever by being touched by rain? Tripping over his own feet (that sort of happened this ep), being unable to be in the same room with a sharp object without cutting himself, and vomiting after an implausibly small amount of alcohol comsumption that also totally erases his memory?
I wish this were so bad that it's good like So Much In Love, but it's just dull and slow. Also, what's with all the bad hair? The only bright spot to this ep is that Thanu got a haircut.
And why didn't they cast Big as Pha in the first place? He's 10 times more appealing than either of the other Pha's. And what happened to Beam and Forth? This show really needs a Tae.
I agree, but sometimes they get carried away. Pat and Pran were enemies-ish, but that was due to circumstances, in Manner of Death, Tul mistakenly thinks Max is a murderer, in ITSAY is was jealousy and misunderstanding, in GSP it was oddballs thrown together, but here it was one of them being a giant asshole. If a character displays too many qualities of a bad person, it can be hard to ever view them positively, especially id the actor isn't very charming.
Ron Angeles has always been a side character and tends to steal scenes or be way more appealing than his romantic rival, particularly in BenXJim.He's just charming, has a sweetness to him, and he's sexy.
No matter how smart white is and he is…it is impossible for him to have adapted to the situation cos it was…
Romeo & Juliet has so much comedy all throughout that when it's staged a lot of it is cut out, especially as much of it is really raunchy. Bad Buddy is a classic forbidden love drama with some comedic elements. A story doesn't have to be self-importantly serious to qualify as a drama. In fact it's extremely common - maybe even required - for great dramas to be balanced by comedic elements. The Godfather has several really funny moments - even iconic funny moments - definitely not a comedy.
Not Me is about an upper-class college student who secretly replaces his twin brother in a motorcycle gang. The entire premise is completely ridiculous - it can't be taken seriously.
He's better now, but he was such an ass at first that I haven't been able to switch gears into liking him. Plus Ron Angeles seems like a huge upgrade to me, although that hair has to go.
I wasn't sure I was attracted to First until this episode. Hoo boyThey've only had like 5 minutes of screentime,…
Yes, it's hard to avoid. Partly we're probably a bit "been there done that" about OffGun, so it's not as fresh, plus they really haven't had much romantic interaction at this point, and we probably all know it will be a lot of Gun crying as usual. Our secondary couple, though, is something new that we didn't know we needed.

I don't think we're watching the same show. It's based on Romeo & Juliet, which is not known as a comedy. There can be funny things in a story without it being a comedy. BB is a drama - it's about "warring houses" and the impossibility of a romance due to long-standing circumstances - the central conflict with Wai was not funny, and the family drama that's about to happen will also not be funny, The key moment on the roof was also not funny, I honestly don't understand how it's possible to see it as a comedy.
