is it just me? i feel like Keng and Namping doesn't have chemistry 😅 . The story's good but I'm really not…
They have no chemistry. Khem is so fragile and helpless that it's impossible for me to look at them as a love match - it's too much like a child and a parent.

So now we're supposed to believe the hottest guy in the world AND the second hottest guy in the world (and I'm not even sure which is which) are after this damp squib?

The problem with the main pair is that Khem is so useless, vulnerable, and in constant need of rescue, even from a footstool, and Peem is so dominating and powerful, that it feels more like a parent-child relationship than a romantic one, and it's icky. Maybe women perceive that differently, but I would never be able to do anything with Khem in Peem's position because it wouldn't feel consensual.

The other problem is that because Khem is the author's self-insert, she didn't bother to give him a personality and he's so dull that I forget the series is about him. In any case, I'm too bored by any scene he's in to watch it and end up ff-ing through it. It's a shame because all the other actors and characters are very compelling (that's not a slur on Namping - in the first ep, where he actually had something to do, he was amazing).

It's also getting to the point that there's too much supernatural and it's taking the place of character work. Magic has to have strict limits or it leads to lazy writing because then it does whatever the author needs to get somewhere instead of having to write with proper cause & effect.

I've always had a thing for Nammon, but holy sh#$ he looks hot in this.

Khemjira is labeled as «HORROR» only because the film industry never officially created a mysticism category. In…
I get your point, but if it were to fit into any category, it's probablyh horror. They ghosts are horrifying, there are lots of jump scares, nobody can do anything without some evil spirit trying to kill them... it just has an Eastern supernatural vocabulary, which I'm grateful for - whenever Asian series use a Western supernatural flavor it's never quite right. Or even close.

This is… hmm… almost like the vampire series Ramil watched in the first episode. This is an equally boring…
Punn doesn't react to anything at all. Or if he is, it's not detectable.
On Revamp the Undead Story Sep 7, 2025
If they had cast Barcode as Ramil and Kay or even Mark as Punn, this would have been excellent, but Prem and Boun are the most boring couple I can think of. Part of it's the writing of their characters, but it's not like Ciar is a well-written character either, and yet Barcode makes him compelling and hot AF. It just doesn't feel like either of the two leads really wants to be in this, or be actors at all - zero energy or effort. Mark isn't the world's best actor, but he's good enough and he puts his heart into it. Aun... well, he tries.

I reaaly tried, but this is unbearable. The endless stream of cliches that passes for a "plot" is bad enough, then they had tghe homophobic and bottom-shaminig sex scene, where they did rock-paper-scissors because being a bottom is just pain and humiliation, not pleasure. How can a person write a gay romance without having a clue about gay sex? There's no reason why a woman can't write gay sex, but she should at least be bothered to obtain a clue first.
On The Nameless Season Sep 6, 2025
Jeon Su is so hottt.

This is one of the only KBLs I've ever seen where the main couple actually have palpable sexual chemistry. That scene at the end was sizzling. Not so much the kiss, which was still good, but their body language before it.

I'm starting to get a little tired of BLs massacring Romeo & Juliet. Why bother including it in the story if you're not going to follow the plot at all? SPOILER They bother die.
On Doctor's Mine Sep 1, 2025
I think I said last week it was obviously nothing happened, but it was still in poor taste and bad writing to casually use r#$e as a throwaway plot device. They could have just made it that what's his name thought Knight stole a kiss, which is more reasonable. If he thought Knight had really done the big "R", then police should have been called.

But seriously, couldn't they just ask Mild? Being a$$-r@#ed isn't something you'd be unclear about whether or not it happened. He was just sleeping, not unresponsive - can you imagine any circumstance under which you wouldn't wake up if someone plunged something up your bu%%?

As for Per and Kan... sigh. What kind of a person would behave like Kan did? You go and discuss it, not act like a total a$$hole - this ruined their relationship for me. I know filial respect is a bigger deal in Thai culture than it is in the West, but come on. What Per's mother did was outrageous and Kan is a little bit@% for just rolling with it rather than going to Per to talk.

Anyway, I liked Knight & Mild this episode - their interaction was the only good writing this ep. Knight's mother was cool too.

WTH is this series. Ep 7 has me all confused. Why is Kan pushing away Per now? WTH is the deal with the assault…
Even in the original flashback, he was shown to trip and fall onto Mild. I'm not defending the writing here - I know there was no SA from the start, but it's not something to casually throw in as a misdirect. It's poor taste, not to mention stupid. Seriously, you can't rape someone without them noticing, especially a man ("there" is not designed for that - Mild was just sleeping, not unresponsively drunk, so he would DEFINITELY wake up if someone suddenly stuck something "you know where").

Just finished ep. 2 and I can't believe the way they handled the domestic violence situation. She even apologized…
I think it's OK to apoligize for trying to brutally murder someone by burning them alive even if they are an abusive husband.

I just saw Khemmika in today’s episode. Can someone explain what’s going on? Is Khemjira the reincarnation…
Khemjira is the reincarnation of Khemmika. The scene with them together was a memory - Khemjira was remembering being her - they weren't actually at the same place/time.

How 'horror' is this? Cuz im a huuuuuge scaredy cat
Ep 1 is very horror, but it tones down after that. It still has dark supernatural elements and some jump scares, but it's not too taxing.

ok i feel so bad im not hating and i dont want ppl answering or replying to my comment with a full paragraph like…
For me the problem is Khem. The actor is good, but the character is so iuseless and uninteresting that I don't really care. Master Peem is an 11/10, so why is he interested in this 4 who has the personality of wet cardboard?

I can deal with it because Keng is more beautiful than any fine art, and I really like the secondary couple, plus the writing isn't bad.

So when peem says he isn't pawat and khemjira isn't khemika, the past is past... does that mean in future he loves…
I'm just a little creeped out that Peem was staring at Khem so lovingly as a boy. If those feelings are now romantic, well, eww. It's one of those problems with the "childhood connection" trope. You're in love with someone from a distance that you remember as a small child.

I want to start a campaign to rescue ukes from bangs.

I really like this show, but sometimes it gets a little silly, like: If you have to go away to war, who do you ask to look after your fiance? a) your sister, b )your mother c) both your sister and your mother or d) your increadibly sinister-looking brother who even a causal observer can see has an obsessive thing for her?

I loved Ep 3 and the first half of Ep 4, but the second half was dull as dull gets. What keeps this series from being a 10 for me is Khem. Not the actor, but the character is the worst kind of uke - he has no agency at all and needs to be rescued several times a day. At least glasses-boy has his sense-power which even Master doesn't have. Khem is just... there.
On Memoir of Rati Aug 30, 2025
The comments on this ep are brutial - I dont' think I'm up for it if Mek & Dech were robbed. I've been more or less hate watching this show just for them. I'll check back next week to see if if the conclusion is well-received.

Even when I don't like a series, I can generally still see the qualities that make it popular with everyone else, but this time I'm at a loss. Eps 1-10 should have been eps 1-5 - there's that much padding, most of it endless staring scenes and French lessons.

Maybe I'm in a bad mood, but Ep. 5 didn't work for me. First, there was a rythmic clicking throughout the episode that was really distracting, and the dialog, assuming the subtitles were correct, didn't sound like anything real people would say. Finally, the kissing scene, despite being fairly long, was so passionless and cold that it was unpleasant to watch. Where were their hands? if you really want someone, you're touching them - their face, hair, whatever. The only time you just sit there motionless like that is when you feel obligated to kiss someone but you don't really want to.

And I still have no idea who Minwoo is. The acting is still strong, though.

There are gay people like that you known. Broaden your mind.
I am a gay person, so I am quite familiar with the subject and don't think I need to broaden my mind. But even the most flamboyant men have more to them than just being flamboyant, and it's usually an integral part of their character and doesn't come off as someone making fun of flamboyant men like this character does.

That lace thing he wears doesn't even match his outfit - it looks like something some homophobic straight guy wrapped around him because in his mind, lace = gay or something. And traditional Thai dress was unbeatable for it's spectacular use of contrasting yet complimentary color, so this is a missed opportunity for some truly memorable costumes.
