- Long as hell (8+ minutes)- No alcohol before - Mutual consent- Protection, property used- Position changes-…
I don't mean to imply it's a mistake, but it's sort of like why nobody ever says goodbye at the end of phone calls in dramas or show people operating the rice cooker - they just suddenly have rice in a bowl. You are aware that someone had to have cooked the rice, but you don't need to see someone do it onscreen to know that.
Likewise, do you want to watch someone sticking fingers or their tongue up someone's butt for 10 minutes, or do you want to watch them kissing and leave the "below the belt" out of sight? For a drama, especially the non-R-rated type that BL always is, probably the latter. :)
I'm super-impressed by this - everything about it is good, and the acting is on point. I don't really like Khem (I can't stand weak ukes who need to be rescued seven times every day), but Namping is hitting it out of the park. I love Jet and am excited to see him get his own match, and then there's Keng, who is just stunning. I'm excited to see the rest of this - I haven't liked a BL this much in a long time.
I have no clue what's going on. When everyone refers to everyone as "brother", we need to know if it's an actual blood brother or not. I have no idea who Minwoo is - is he Jayden's older sibling? But worse, they get their pronouns almost 100% wrong, for example exchanging "you" and "I".
I think what Minwoo was referring to was Jayden presenting flowers in the past to Ian and getting rejected and crying, and he doens't want that to happen again - but the title was "love triangle", and the only possible triangle has Jayden in the middle, because Ian is apparently confused (?) and Minwoo said nothing that implied he was interested in him.
There are some technical issues, like Jayden's microphone was placed wrong so I could hear him swallowing louder than talking, and he needed a face wipe. I don't mind that they glow a little as opposed to having an inch of white makeup plastered to their faces, but he looked like there was no a/c in there or something.
Keng is so beautiful it actually hurts to look at him. Seriously, I get tears in my eyes.
This is unbelievably good - the writing is so much better than most BLs, the acting is solid so far, and it's downright scary. The only danger signal I get is Khem himself is in danger of being dull - an uke with no agency that needs constant rescuing - but I hope it doesn't take that route. But his acting is solid - you could feel his fear.
I thought I wouldn't like this but I did - a lot. Keen has charisna ability, and can pull off that type of character better than most, and he's a cutie.
I think we can all gues who the fortune teller is - it's not very subtle.
Is this a BL? I'm halfway through Ep 2, and so far it just has Supanut attempting to be the ultimate stereotype - his character is too ridiculous to be taken seriously as a romantic partner. Does the king get a BL story?
This series has been going around in circles for the last 7 episodes. There was a little progress with Mek & Dech and they continue to be funny and charming,.
This would have been much better as an 8 epsiode series.
So many ppl are saying AouBoom and their characters story is so great. And that their are carrying the show. But…
Their story accounts for about a third of the series, and it's infinitely more engaging than Rati and Thee's relationship, which entirely lacks even a whisper of passion. Unless Thee's father or brother are onscreen, I have to ff or I fall into a coma.
I don't know why it's like this, because there's nothing wrong with the actors - I guess it's because the writing of their relationship is so abyssmal that they have nothing to work with.
I'm not sure what being a good actor has to do with starring in a series or being popular - that's only the case if they happen to have acting ability in addition to looks, but it's certainly not a requirement.
That was OK. Way too much time eaten by a silly trope (pinky swear) for such a short series. I do like that Jaeyul isn't a tired cliche of an uke. And that all three actors are really attractive and charismatic.
The love scene was way too long, but I have to give it points for trying something different, and to the actors for throwing themselves into it - they were actually believable as people attracted to each other having sex.
The dialog in this is terrible. There is way too much time spent talking about unimportant things, like "I have to call my roommate to tell him I don't need a ride". (And then he calls him and we listen to it.) Why is that needed? Who cares, and what difference does it make to the story? Half the series is stuff like that and it brings the narrative and the energy screeching to a halt.
Also, did they drive 12 hours to get to Samoeng, or did they take the car to the airport? I'm not sure I'd leave that car in an airport parking lot.
Anyway, this is dull, but the actors are charming enough to sell it. I think Mild is a decent actor - it's just that his role is terribly written and his character only has 1 mood, so there's almost nothing for him to do, but what he does he does well.
Once again I ask, will there ever be justice for Lee Long Shi? His whole career has me convinced he's somehow…
I think maybe nobody knows what to do with him. He's not too tall, and although he has a slammin' body, his voice is soft and high, so he's not a classic seme. But he's too "manly" and muscular to be an uke.
I agree, this is his best project so far, which is tragic. Maybe it will get better in the next 6 episodes.
A typical Thai series. It just doesn’t hold up. The first three episodes were somewhat cute, but things are…
The editing is abyssmal. When Mild says he has to call someone to tell them he's getting a ride, I was thinking, "why do we need to know that? Couldn't that be offscreen? What difference does it make to the story?"
But then he pulled out his pbone and made the call and we listened to it. If they really needed to hav this, he could just reach for his phone and then cut to the next scene. You don't even need to do that. If he said he's calling someone, you can just assume he did, youy don't have to see it. I'm only belaboring the point to draw an example - everything is like this. That and endless blank staring scenes.
