I think I would enjoy Thai series more if the subtitles were less atrocious. Or the dialogues are written really…
Normally they're good enough, but this ep had mistakes which made critical points difficult to understand. Like I think Gene said "You knew I didn't recognize you", not "You know I can't remember you." Even as a native speaker it took a minute to get what he was saying, and a large number of people didn't ever get it.
I LOVE this show. Oh My God. I always am hoping I will find my next Sotus i.e. series I can watch over and over…
I am obsessed with Tum, I find him 100 times more attractive than Sib. I actually don't really feel Gene & Sib all that much because Kao's acting is so 2D - he only has one expression and nothing he says has much emotion to it. It was perfect for the flirting stage, but the series is half over now - it's getting repetitive. Up is great, though. But that's just me.
I really want to see what happens with Aey & Mork.
Be cruel to push them away for their own good might have been more 1,000 Stars. Insert toxic female in ep 8 (or 10 if it's a 12-parter) refers to 99% of all BLs ever made - including 1,000 Stars, although instead of being toxic, she was dead. But still f@#$ed up everthing.
Yes, their romance has not progressed at all for a show that's about to end very soon.
There are actually 13 episodes, not 10, so there's still plenty of time. I've tried to revise the episode total, but the site keeps rejecting hte changes. IT has progressed, though - they started with Chon disliking Prab, although I thing for Prab it was love at first sight - and a few episodes back, Chon wouldn't have confided his feelings to Prab and probably lumped him in with the problem. Athough I totally get your point if the series were 10 eps, in which case I'd be raising the same issue - but fortunately we're only two-thirds done, so Nick still has a lot of suffering ahead for him.
They have a point that he could just take the test and then not commit to med school, but they should have asked him to begin with, and not just change his paperwork without asking! He might have said yes if they'd treated him with some respect.
So Sam the photographer is apparently a Thai singer named Diamond Kanok Phrasosomethingorother. Google translate gives the wrong spelling - Ganok Phrasohphomphaanit, and Bing says the last name is "experienced commercial success" which I guess is the literal translation.
Thai must be a terrible language to speak for people that have speech impediments.
Anyway, the Thai is ไดม่อน - กนก ประสบผลพาณิชย์
I think ไดม่อน is just an approximate phonetic Thai spelling of the English word 'diamond'. He has an instagram but he's terrible at selfies.
It's definitely Sam's episode. His acting? *chef's kiss* The way Shi De confronted Shu Yi's dad, omg, I watched…
It's always Sam's episode. I don't really feel it from YU to be honest, unless he's pretending to like Shi De as part of a revenge plot, in which case he's a genius. But I did, by far, enjoy the Shi De/Dad scene most this ep.
I recently joned here. Am I the only that noticed the age of the actor that play "dad" ???He is only 14 years…
Have you seen Oxygen? The actor playing dad was only 3 years older than his "son". They tried to hide it by putting obviously fake streaks of grey in his hair. I burst out laughing every time he came onscreen. I don't know why that do that. Sometimes they get veteran actors who deliver powerhouse performances.
Anyway, Dad being only 14 years older was a tiny age difference by normal BL standards. BTW, he's supposed to be Japanese, or at least part Japanese, I believe.
I wanted to drop a comment about the production design. I like clean, modern design to a point, but SY's prison/fortress…
I think they did that for the reasons you mentioned. It's probably a real dwelling, so the windows are what they are. I'm actually more surprised at how middle-class it is. A super-rich guy should have more luxury at hand than that.
I liked this more when they hated each other. I wish the season had been about that and having them hate their way back to being in love. This is just tedious. First of all, the corporate intrigue is boring, Second, BLs are interesting when they're character-driven, not plot driven. This has ceased to really be about Shi De and Shu Yi, and even that would be fine if it was the two of them vs. Dad (directly, that is - I'm sure he's behind the theft).
To me the only thing engaging about this episode was the scene between Shi De and Dad - characters interacting. All the cutesy stuff was empty to me - no spark in it, only one-way chemistry.
The secondary couple is marginally more interesting, but we've gotten maybe 2 or 3 minutes of them the entire series - I actually didn't even realize that Zhen Xuan was the CTO until a few eps in, there's s little coverage.
And what about the 3rd couple? Those boys are gorgeous - I want to see a lot more of Zhe Yu. He should also get more screen time. :)
Anyway, this series is a mess - they're trying to do too much in just 6 eps and it's not working. I'm really surprised that this has a higher rating than 1000 Stars, ITSAY, and Gaya Sa Pelikula - how is that even possible?
This would be a lot better if the acting of the father was up to par...
I think he's wonderful - to me his scene with Shi De was the highlight of this episode. I think the weakest link in the acting department is Shu Yi. That's why some people think he's pretending to like Shi De in order to get revenge - to me the chemistry is only one-way.
Maybe I'm just biassed bcs I love this show so much, but I don't think it's boring at all. After 3 emotional episodes,…
I would have like that if it happened, but this ep wasn't about relationships, it was all corporate espionage. The only scene that I had to keep slapping myself to keep awake through was the excellent scene between Shi De and Dad. And any time Richard Lee was onsceen, but that's probably just me.
I really want to see what happens with Aey & Mork.

And he's taken.
