Is there some Thai award given out for "longest opening credits"?
OK, so the editing could use a little work. I think I might have slipped into a coma when they were talking about photography or something, I don't remember (because I was in a coma). The acting is terrible, and the timing is off on just about everything. The only thing I can say is that the writing is actually not bad. This might have been a compelling series if they'd hire actors instead of pulling random people off the street. Does it really save that much money? I'm willing to put up with more product placement if they'll use the funds to hire actual actors.
Well, at least I can follow the plot for this one.
First episode was more coherent than 'So Much In Love,' probably because they don't get too ambitious here by…
That cracked me up. So Much in Love was such a disaster that I couldn't look away. I'd call it a train wreck, but that doesn't quite do it justice. You forgot to mention that, not content with just ONE ghost story, it also had an unrelated ghost main character who was only mostly dead.
I wish they would avoid the tired cliche of faces too close together and stare at each for way too long. It's so untrue to life that it takes me out of the story.
Other than that, this was a fantastic episode. I love that Tian is a man and not just a male dropped into the female role in a Victorian novel. So far. I hope that continues, and he doesn't suddenly turn into a 12-year old girl with consumption as happened in 2gether.
When it ended I was thinking "That didn't feel complete". So I appreciated the post-credit segment and the promise of a sequel. I'm sure Dad is responsible for whatever happened - they wouldn't have had him in Ep 6 for just a few seconds unless there was a reason.
Anyway, this was wonderful. Again, it pays to hire people who can act. I loved the chemistry, and the writing was sharp.
TBH, I don't completely buy MaxTul - I feel like I'm watching two straight guys pretending sometimes - maybe it's…
No, I like this series much, much better than their past dramas. They were OK, but the writing was not so great.( EDIT: I looked back and I think I hated "Together With Me" - I gave it a brutal review.) On this show it's really good, and the editing is sharp. Like this is 10 times better. And it's so well directed and shot - way, way above "standard" BL caliber.
For me, I just don't feel the chemistry between them in this show. It feels out of place to me - like some sweet high school romance between 14 year olds, not two grown-up self-aware men in their late-20s.
The scene where I was buying it was cut short by Tan cuffing Bun to the spindly little railing that an any average child could have broken free from. They were both on fire in that scene. So I guess you're right, it's not them, it's the screenplay & directing.
Anyway, I agree that their acting has improved, especially Max.
Holy need-to-learn-how-to-edit, Batman! I'm watching this on 2x and it still feels brutally slow. Do we need to watch the entire process of having breakfast? Also, don't these people have other things to do than eat? 90% of this is eating! So far there's been about 10 minutes of plot. Starting to lose patience...
And can we PLEASE stop with the predatory and ridiculous effeminate men and trans characters? It's so f#$%ing offensive.
That dinner scene was cute, though, when tattoo guy was improvising and made Cupid laugh by sticking food in his mouth which looked off-script. It made me smile. And I do kind of like how Buddhist monks can ALWAYS see the supernatural.
just going by the placement of the couples on the promotion artwork I'm guessing and hoping the focus will shift…
I hope so! In any case, I try not to judge a series by the pilot - they often develop in ways you don't expect. This didn't blow me away, but there's enough to it for me to stick with it for now.
OK, it's been bothering me. How is it possible that a big muscular guy like Bunn couldn't free himself from a little spindly wooden railing, given an entire day?
TBH, I don't completely buy MaxTul - I feel like I'm watching two straight guys pretending sometimes - maybe it's…
I went back and rewatched the shower scene - it's fine, but it didn't really do it for me. I've found their chemistry appealing in the past - I'm just not feeling it in this series. Maybe it's because their characters and dynamic are too similar to past series?
I mean, think about it. Max shows up and joins you in the shower - do you frown and reluctantly let him gently soap your back, or do you throw him against the wall and ravage that hot body? (He can throw me against the wall if he wants.)
Fortunately, for this show it's really not very important. Because it has an actual plot.
I kind of wish they had reversed their roles, i.e. Max playing Bunn. Shake it up a little.
Same! I love MaxTul but idk why their intimate scenes in this drama do not interest me much. Sorawit and Tat,…
That's a good point. MaxTul need to push their boundaries! Maybe their characters & dynamic are not different enough from past series - like when Tan comments on time wasted by not getting together in college, I was thinking, "But you were together in c... oh wait, that was a different series."
As a few have commented, it’s common in Southeast Asia.I’m Filipino. I have a degree in Biology as part of…
I don't think it necessarily has anything to do with SEA - people do that everywhere. I'm American, I have a music degree, and I'm a corporate worker now. Because I like food and shelter. And I realized I didn't want to spend my life reading bad student music essays for the rest of my life.
it's kind of weird like she is a spa owner and out of nowhere, they said she used to study pharmacy. Like, who…
I have a music degree, and now I'm a corporate real estate manager. To be fair, a music degree is a lot less useful than a pharmacology degree, but still.
I see some people are dissapointed by the reaveal being this soon or by her motive, but am I the only one who…
I don't think she did anything out of jealousy at all. Or I hope not, because that would be kind of misogynist. I think it was to cover up her complicity. Pued probably knew her involvement, so he was a loose end. I doubt she killed her sister, but she may blame Pued for losing control of the situation, resulting in her death.

Also, Drake in uniform.

Richard Lee is hot right? It's not just me?
