Isn’t that a major hole in the narrative that Tan, Bun and M behave and act as if the commandant were not around…
OK, here's my attempt at filling the holes. M didn't shoot because it would make a huge noise that would bring more ninjas, plus the SUV ninja might kill her.
Now that Rungtiva has been arrested, it's too late for the commandant to do anything to Tan, Bun, & M - he needs to escape at this point, especially since Por now sees what's been happening. Remember that M has a warrant from an honest judge who's aware of the situation - they're untouchable now, because if anything happens to them, it will easily be traced back to him. Also, I think a lot of the police will turn on the Commandant if he exposes himself as a horrible villain, which he'd kind of have to do to get them to kill a doctor and one of their fellow officers. Also, would any of them do anything to mar M's perfect porcelain skin?
If he's going to silence anyone, it's probably Rungtiva, because she can likely prove his complicity.
No actually the remark Tan makes about getting his revenge is kind of a joke/teasing, like M came up with this…
Inspector M has been uncomfortable for a while - you can see it in his face. I think he's truly a good man who believes in law and justice and want the real evil-doers to pay for their crimes.
As Lyra mentioned, the revenge on Bun thing was just teasing. He did it because he wants the good guys to win.
Sorawit and Tat are killing me. And Putter's acting - I'll be honest, I think I was more moved by his concern for Tat than I have been for the entirety of the Tan/Bun relationship.
Also, Inspector M has been so active lately. I think he deserves a nice long relaxing shower. At least once per episode.
Things that made me warm and fuzzy in episode 11:-Inspector M being one of the good guys! We all called it, but…
TBH, I don't completely buy MaxTul - I feel like I'm watching two straight guys pretending sometimes - maybe it's the way they have sex all the time but never actually make out - they always neck in a way that you can't see anything. But Tat & Sorawit - I actually cried when S was so concerned about Tat, and how moving was it that Tat's "happy place" when he was being held prisoner was just spending normal time with Sorawit? Those two kill me. Putter is an amazing actor.
I don't think Rung's motives are a man - I think it's because she doesn't want anyone exposing her criminal ties. Or maybe she blamed Pued for Jane's death, i.e. he should have controlled the situation. Or maybe Pued was aware of her nefarious activities and thus was a loose end.
OK, this is a tough one. The acting is not great - especially the woman and bargain-basement Zon. The leads don't have sharp comic timing, which is needed in a show like this. We hardly saw anything of the BL couple, but at least they weren't chewing the scenery.
It looks pretty clear this is really a straight romance with a barely-there BL romance on the side. This was 90% straight couple, 9% woman with Alzheimer's, 1% BL.
It's not terrible, so you probably won't feel like you completely wasted your time if you watch it.
Predictable doesn't mean bad, it's more important how they deliver it. GMMTV has done some series dirty, but they…
I agree - predictable doesn't mean it has to be bad, but it certainly does mean that it CAN be bad - or mediocre. That's what I'm afraid of. He's Coming to Me was wonderful, but the ending was terrible - that prevented it from being 1st rate. I just want ONE GMMTV BL series with a satisfying ending!
Make it this one!
Anyway, the predictability wasn't actually what worried me, it was the awkward way that it was telegraphed that the identity of whoever hit Torfun was going t o be a major plot issue. That drains it of dramatic impact in addition to being a clunky scene. It's not important in itself - only if the series does things like that routinely. And the flashbacks to scenes we just saw is another red flag - that's lazy, or lack of confidence in what the actor is portraying. These aren't huge problems, and sometimes the premiere of a great series has some these issues, so I remain merely slightly worried.
OK, I liked it a lot. The two mains are great actors, the production values are beautiful. There are a few narrative issues, though. First, we don't need that many flashbacks to conversations that just happened, and there were a few bits of awkward exposition. Example: did we really need to shoehorn in Pha's comment about never forgiving whoever killed Tofun? It kind of goes without saying that he will not receive any such revelation favorably.
Also, the plot is so predictable that I'm not sure it will raise this to the high level we're hoping for. These are just a couple of worries about things that can get out of control - this is GMMTV, after all - they've proved they can ruin anything. ANYTHING. But here's hoping for the best - it certainly has the ingredients to be near the top of the pile.
And at least there's not a single engineer anywhere near this thing, so that's encouraging.
I like that Tian is not as useless and weepy as the uke usually is. It would be nice if someday BL abandons the strict seme-uke dynamic that seems ripped out of a Victorian novel. One of the nice opportunities of a m/m story is that you don't have to write one of the characters in a stereotypical female role.
The only thing I loved about this series was Kimcop. Firstly, it was so messy, there were way too much characters.…
I totally agree. Wayu is useless. He has no agency - he just gets dragged along and cries constantly. And what 20-year old gets such a bad cramp from climbing down ONE stair that they have to be carried? I'm surprised he didn't become deathly ill when Thanu got water on him. I guess they dried him off in time.
I'm pretty sure the writers left all the stories hanging except the main leads.
I'd forgotten that Mark & Kit were the leads because they've barely been in it for the last several episodes, but you're right, that was pretty much resolved. Until next season when a crisis will be manufactured that will lead to a lot of crying scenes.
"Drunken words {actions} are sober thoughts" is the logic in most Thai BLsIn Thailand, as well as China, Japan,…
Yes, that sums up my point better than I did.
BTW, I would love to see a realistic depiction of someone tripping and falling into an accidental kiss - with blood and teeth flying everywhere, which is what would happen.

I don't mean the societal reasons for drinking, I mean the actual depiction of being drunk, which is not true to reality where this varies immensely depending on a lot of factors. In BLs, every drunk person behaves and physically responds in exactly the same way. For example, I lived in rural Poland for a year, and there was nothing to do there BUT drink, yet I never threw up, no matter how drunk. BL characters projectile vomit after 3 beers.
okay i have a lot to say about this, i'm sorry in advance to anyone who bothers to read this lmaofirst of all…
I disagree with you about Thanu - he has always tried to do the right thing. It's not his fault that all the writing surrounding him is terrible. Other than that I'm with you.
If I have to watch one more incredibly slow lean in to a not-kiss I will scream. And if Wayu cries ONE MORE TIME I'm going to lose it. He really is a lump of a character. It's completely incomprehensible that everyone wants him - ALL the other guys are more interesting.
