I do see where some people don't like some aspects of the show, but in all honesty, I liked it! I need this after…
I don't find this funny in the slightest. I guess if you think misogyny and forcing people to have sex with prostitutes against their will is funny.

Title Better Days
If there's an issue I'm uncomfortable about on this series, it's the power relations between the boss (Kian) and…
I read that completely differently than you did. Aron is unphased by Kian's attempt at throwing his authority around, and instead finds it amusing, while Kian is wearing a "notice me" t-shirt. Aron is self-sufficient, but Kian needs Aron. When Kian calls his mom, she offers to remove Kian from the house - there's no question of any change to Aron's status. While there is a nominal power-imbalance in favor if Kian, it's really the opposite.

LOL, you're right - I guess he would be in and out a lot as a courier, but that doesn't explain the rest. That might just be some lazy writing so that he's there when they need him in a scene.

You can't judge it from just 5 minutes, you didn't even give it a chance it seems. It is light and fun though.
If you haven't seen ITSAY (I Told Sunset About You), it is hands down the best Thai BL ever made - not slightly better than others, but like it's hard to enjoy anything else after seeing something of this quality. You can watch it on dramacool - there are only 5 episodes, but they're about 80 minutes each. https://dramacool.so/i-told-sunset-about-you-episode-1.html

A show with 1 gay "inside" the group of straight friends with girlfriends. Why not, right? No hate about a lot…
It's a well known fact that there is only one straight boy in any given Thai high school. And if you stalk him with enough dedication he'll turn gay too and fall in love with you. Well, not gay, he's still straight but only loves one guy.

Hoon is indeed HOT!! :P
I never noticed until this ep. The first time I saw him I thought "Oh! He's handsome." But this episode I thought "OMFG Hottest man on Earth!!!!!!!!!" Or something along those lines. But seriously, you could fall into those eyes and never be found again.

Misunderstands what? That Ben was watching Leo's livestream and called him the next day after he promised he would…
No, I know Ben is totally in the wrong - I mean misunderstand what's going on right there in front of him. I have loathed Ben since the first episode, and he just gets worse and worse. But Leo is assaulting him, and that's first priority.

Title Oh, Mando!
This isn't bad, but I'm not really drawn into it. The actors don't feel committed to me - not even Kokoy. He's a little all over the place. Is this a comedy, or is it serious? Was what happened by the pool supposed to be funny, or sweet? Both? It was neither. The scene on the bridge was awkward and difficult to watch. What was it telling us that we don't already know? A little more about Barry, but it was along the same lines as the meatballs. We already knew about his tendency to "You Know What" based on the "YKWs" on his "YKWs". His sister commenting on it was too on-the-nose, and even if Mando is her BF, that's very private family info to be sharing with someone you just met.

Maybe it's because this was filmed so long ago that it's behind the times. And I'm getting really tired of plots where there's a girl between the guys. I hope Krisha is a character with agency and not just a beard for Mando - because it's fairly plain he knows he's gay, so it feels like he's using her. He even said he was gay in his internal monologue.

Anyway, it's enjoyable, and I'll probably watch all of it because ITSAY & GSP are both ending this week and so this gets bumped up a couple of notches in my ranking. So far it feels like a 7 to me, but I'll wait till the end to judge since it's already half over.

Too many lies and secrets on Episode 6: Dark Night of the Soul. But guess what? I found this episode really relatable.…
There's something inauthentic about Teejay - I'm just never convinced by him. It's to the point that it's hard to enjoy the show because I just don't care about him at all and I think both Jim & Olan are too good for him and they should get together and ride off into the sunset.

The cinematography is quite excellent - overall the production quality is high.

I wish it were Jim X Olan. I really can't stand Ben. Heck, I'd take Yana and Olan. Or Olan & Olan. Anything.

Just re-watched everything...I think I'm going to reconsider my stance on Olan... I still like him, but, I also…
I feel like I usually see things similarly to how you do, but I don't get the slightest whiff of creepiness from Olan. Is it possible that you find him creepy because there would have to be something wrong with you to like Ben? I would enjoy this show a lot more if I didn't find the protagonist to be an awful self-absorbed phony. I think it's the actor. Ben's lines are fine - he was right to call Jim on the sexism (although Jim's line on poststructuralist thinking was classic) - it's the delivery that makes him sound like a jerk. Everything about him is "not quite right".

You can't judge it from just 5 minutes, you didn't even give it a chance it seems. It is light and fun though.
I don't want everything to be like ITSAY because it's sad and depressing - I just want Thai producers to concentrate more an quality than quantity, and stop relying on badly written and forumlaic novels. And for the love of God, no more engineering students.

The reason why many people turned on 2gether was because for once, the story was just about two guys falling in love, and it was funny and well-written. The effeminate chracter was played for humor but was not pathetic, and there was no obsession with the seme/uke thing - they even cast a guy who was bigger and more muscular in what the novel had as the uke.

And then about half way through, all that collapsed into the same tired tropes. All of the sudden, unbelievably in-shape Tine couldn't get through a cheerleading session without fainting like a Victorian 12-year old virgin with consumption as they fell back on the stereotypical uke role, and the plot was totally derailed by both mains completely mutating in character to twist the story around the jealousy over a girl trope, which is so incredibly tired and frustrating, then we only got about ten seconds of them being together, which climaxed not in a kiss, not even a hug, but a high-five.

THAT is why people praised it at first and then turned against it. Up until Ep 6, I would have rated it my favorite BL of all time (the one that ended with the revelation that Saraway had been in love with Tine since before the first ep.)

I will say that I watched the second ep of Gen Y and it was less boring - the Kit and Ming actors are pretty appealing, although I wish they'd move past Yu's devastation, which is hard to care about because we didn't see his bf or their relationship forming (athough we really did, TWICE now...). In any case, good enough to stick around for the third ep. Although I think we all know that Kit isn't going to kiss Mark, he's going to unbuckle his seatbelt and throw him out of the car.

the novel is way better and its not that complicated unlike the series version. I don't know if you have read…
Thank you for pointing that out. But - novels generally aren't the best basis for a screenplay. In a novel, you hear character's thoughts and have a better sense of what they're feeling. In a visual medium we need to see it, and because they hire mostly amateur actors and don't really take advantage of the medium like ITSAY and GSP do, you get a straightforward narrative that's often prety dull. For example, in Oxygen, having the schtick being a boy who's lost his smile works in a novel, but makes him come off as a serial-killer android on the screen. A boring serial-killer android.

The level of hostility here is astounding, as though nobody has a right to write anything where anything happens…
Totally agree - I live some fluffy too. But if you really think about it, the "message" of the fluffy shows is that if you have a crush on a straight guy and are a dedicated stalker, he'll turn not-straight and fall in love with you. Which, if young impressionable LGBTQ+ youth took at face value, would probably get them killed. But I don't think anyone is naive enough to believe that's how the world works and instead see it as the pleasant escapism that it is. Likewise, no LGBTQ+ youth is going to watch this and think they have to live tragic lives and die young. If all shows were like My Extraordinary, I would think there's a problem - but there's really no danger of that.

You give him too much credit hahaha! He's a snarky person in real life and it shows in his work. Check his Twitter,…
I think it's very well written - I don't particularly enjoy watching it. I think the writer is a dick based on his posts and tweets - that has nothing to do with whether or not his writing is good. And what is your comment even supposed to mean? You area all a bunch of sanctimonious twits.

I'd simply rather watch this than a tired, formulaic pile of crap like 80% of BLs - Your Gear and My Gown makes my eyes roll with just it's title.

Stop giving this a bad rating because it's sad. Ken and Shake are still together, so it's not really sad. History…
The message is that homophobia destroys lives. But there's no point in arguing, because everyone in a BL has to be morally perfect, and there's no mercy on anyone who makes a bad mistake, like all people do. Monica and Sandee are worse than Hitler, Stalin, Satan, the Spanish Inquisition, and people who chew loudly combined, because they're not as perfect as all the viewers are.
