This show is a mess. How does bullying someone increase their self-confidence? I'm starting to wonder if these authors have severe emotional disorders. Can Thai BL please, please stop adapting bad novels by bad writers for BLs? And what was the rape scene? Talk about out of nowhere! What was that supposed to accomplish? This is horrible writing, but I should have known it would be full of tired tropes by the title.

It's awful. They need to stop trying to adapt bad novels and write screenplays that are meant for... the screen? I dunno, just a silly thought.

The level of hostility here is astounding, as though nobody has a right to write anything where anything happens to LGBTQ+ people, ever. It's not like it's easy being LGBTQ+ in Asian societies, and I'm not sure there's any particular social value to endless unearned happy endings in every single BL. It's important that there be positive representations and a vision of how things can be, but it's a disservice to ignore how things actually are.

This show has a powerful message: homophobia destroys lives. Every mother that watches this will put herself in Monica's place, and just maybe many of them will have a much better reaction to their child coming out to them as a result.

I'm kind of over the entitlement that BL viewers, the vast majority of whom are straight women, have to cutesy stories that fetishize gay relationships as if our lives are really that easy in high school. I appreciate their evolved view of us and the huge impact they're having on tolerance in Asian societies, but there's a long, long way to go yet.

It's not nothing to her and it's not nothing to the vast majority of parents. That's the point. Homophobia destroys lives. Just because 99% of BLs have consequence-free rainbow & unicorn coming outs doesn't mean that real people are going to have the same success rate. I wish it were like that, but is absolutely is not.

The message is "homophobia destroys lives" which is ABSOLUTELY the right message to give. You're kind of insulting the intelligence of LGBTQ+ people if you think one show will cancel out the 1,000 positive outcomes of coming out shown in all these BLs. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that BL whitewashes how difficult the condition of LGBTQ+ are in most Asian societies and presents an overly optimistic picture that could create unrealistic expectations and lead to disappointment and even tragedy if you come out at the wrong time to the wrong person.

Also, hiding who you are and abandoning your family isn't exactly a healthy message to be giving, is it?

Definitely a Lawrence fan. Z is a great actor and I can't wait for "A Kiss to Remember". All the actors in this are really good.

How did the plot go off the rails? Also, it's been established Sandee has visions of the future, so that turning out to be the case isn't contrived (although it could certainly come off that way if handled poorly).

He also said "relax, nobody dies". Watch the last episode, then judge. You're probably right, but Sandee can see the future, so it could be a vision - then you get a happy ending AND the message that homophobia never has a happy ending.

Are you sure? You haven't seen the ending. Sandee can see the future, so it might be a vision. The only BL I can think of that had a tragic ending was MYDC - ALL of them other than that have sickly sweet endings (not complaining). Also, it wasn't a tragic ending, it was a tragic middle.

As for having seen these stories before, every Thai BL has exactly the same plot (slight exaggeration for the sake of drama) - engineering & medical students, one of the pair has a GF, "I'm not gay, I only love_____" accidental kiss, wash, rinse, repeat. To be fair, music students have recently been allowed in BL, so I guess there is some variety.

The second episode was even more boring than the first. And I'll watch it for whatever reason I want, and I'll also write whatever I want about it. If you don't like it when people criticize, it's you that's in the wrong place, not me - why are you here if you can't take opinions that are different than yours? I really liked the first season, I think this season is terrible. I'll watch 3 and then give up if it's continues to be this awful.

Sorry, I shouldn't have joked about that, it's not really funny. The opening was just very irritating and annoying - I don't like that style, and it was overdone. But fortunately that's the only place where they did that.

That was not good. The editing needs a lot of work. For just over 20 minutes of run time (which felt a lot longer), you can't spend over a minute just showing someone eat breakfast. We get it. One guy is rich, the other is poor. That's all this episode established, and it could have been done with zero seconds - just seeing their environments as they do other things is enough. The point was so belabored it was irritating and insulted my intelligence.

This was the case for just about everything. I'm glad they're taking the "show, don't tell" route, but I wish they'd show a little less.

The cinematography was pretty good, but there were technical problems with shots, I'm guessing do to limited budget & schedule not allowing for enough takes - I can forgive that.

There were times I wasn't sure if this was a BL or soft porn (seriously, that last shot? Not very subtle), but those are two seriously hot boys, so no objection from me. Anyway, other than the shirtless scenes, I found myself watching on 2X speed to get through it.

I'll probably end up watching this because of the gratuitous exploitation of the two lead's hot bodies. I'm shallow. Sue me.

It's hard not to think of it when the actors and their characters are the same. Why would they do that? Even if the story is quite different, it doesn't feel like this series is giving us anything new. Moons, engineering & med students, tsundere, ladyboys screaming when any attractive boy passes by, it's all the same formula and it's getting really, really old. After all the excellent Filipino BLs and ITSAY, it feels even more out of date.

It gave me epilepsy. I'm 3 min in and finding everything about it annoying, hence taking a break here, but I'll soldier on to the end and see how I feel.

OK, I watched the whole episode. I didn't fall asleep, but I'm not sure I understand the point of this. Isn't this just 2Moons again? There are so many characters and I don't really understand who is who. BL has been bumped up several notches since 2moons, so this seems out of date and full of old tropes.

Maybe we're in the silent majority. Probably not, but at least you're not alone. I think there's a lot of intolerance for people that are confused about their sexuality, which is upsetting given that overcoming that confusion is something almost every LGBTQ+ person has to go through. That the BL audience doesn't seem to accept it makes me wonder if they're really interested in the LGBTQ+ condition or are they here to fetishize gay relationships.
