oh my god you are 😂 hilarious. Ohm showed up for work hahahahaha that's such an accurate description
Nobody can criticize his work ethic, that's for sure. :)

Can someone say how was the first episode?? I'm still confused whether I should watch or not...
I'd have to say no. I really like Peach, the main character, but the love intertest is just a black hole that sucks all the light out of the world. Guide is great, though, so if you really like him you might be able to put up with it.
On Bake Me Please Nov 22, 2023
Guide is totally adorable - what a smile, & Poom is just gorgeous. And Ohm showed up for work.

Anyway, the problem with casting a fencepost to play a tsundere character is that he doesn't have the range to portray him as even remotely sympathetic. Shin is so dull that I don't even dislike him - I just want to ff through all his scenes. It's a pity - this could have been a great series, but I just don't have any interest in devoting six hours to watching a talking mannequin, as much as I love Guide. Maybe if there's a good secondary couple I can skim through for that and for Guide scenes where he's not with his fencepost.

Anyone want to place bets on which episode Grandma will kick the bucket in? If 30-something mothers have a 50% death rate, an actual elderly person can't have more than two episodes. She'll likely have the grace to cling to life until her passing can cheaply resolve an artificial dramatic conflict.

Wow, I'm a real bitch today.

Wow, Pavel is even more gorgeous than ever - he's like perfect. I'm having trouble getting into the story, but I can't take my eyes off Pavel, so I don't really care, I guess. Plus we get Nut Supanut and Michael Kiettisak.

Wow, this is so much better than I was expecting. Ep 1 was not bad, but Ep 2 was something else! I thought this couple was really dull in that other series where they were in the alternate dimension and I found Sea in particular to be forgettable (other than his looks) and not very dynamic. Jimmy was powerful in Bad Buddy, but lackluster in the other series.

Here both of them are top tier - I'm amazed and delighted. The writing is fairly tight and the directing is good, with actual visual storytelling, which is so rare these days. Nobody commented on the condition of Day's room, we just saw Mohk walking around noticing without it being "in your face". Too often we get an exposition dump - that's not happening here, and i'm really enjoying this.

Also, both of these guys have spectacular bodies, and I'm shallow. Sea's legs... But that's just an added bonus - if they keep up the acting and writing this could be a good one.

Mark seems to be the go-to for GMM - he's a busy guy, not that I'm complaining.

That's the plot of at least 15% of romances. There was just a Vietnamese BL with that plot.
RememberThe English Patient? By the end of that I was shouting "Just DIE already!"

'Want to See You' was the Vietnamese series.

Or Fourth & Gemini in Midnight Chicken.

Man, seeing how some people do not know omegaverse, makes me think I'm a freak, cause i have like this whole ass…
Would you feel better if I said I know what an omegaverse is? These people clearly don't read fanfic.

We should find out what brand of bandaid Rung used so we can make sure to never use them, under any circumstances, unless you're trying to plug a hole in a dam or something. If that thing can stay stuck to a car in a rainy country for years and years, imagine how much of your skin it will take with it if you try to pull it off. That was a sweet car, though.

Anyway, that was better than I expected, although I was expecting it to be bad. Jimmy was overdoing the thug thing a little, but that will soften, and hopefully this will be a better vehicle for this pair than the last one.

I adore this show. This episode is a classic example of why Japanese BLs are so often superior to all others.…
It doesn't hurt that he's made of sex. Just that voice makes me... well, family-friendly forum. The actor is spectacular. I wish all BL actors could be that good.

Something is wrong with the Gaga player - darn it, I was behind and just watched ep 4. Koki is not coventionally beautiful, but I want to do things to him. Just his voice is enough to get me revved up.

Maybe gay content written by a BL writer. The way masturbation is given so much gravitas in this is LOL funny…
I understood what you said and agree with you - but if it were really LGBT content there would be rock music playing in the masturbation scenes and not music that sounds like it's from a movie about someone who's dying, i.e. it would be played for humor rather than drama because masturbation is just not important. Well, it is if you doing in public exposing yourself, but in a macro sense it's just something fun people do, and if you're a teenage boy, you absolutely need to do, unless you like washing your sheets every day.

When you stop to think about it, Wal really hasn't done anything at all wrong - I think we're just conditioned…
I agree with that - to be fair, he's asked many times for Guy to tell him what's happening, and it can only increase his fears that Guy is keeping secrets from him - even lying. But he is OTT.

When you stop to think about it, Wal really hasn't done anything at all wrong - I think we're just conditioned…
Still not as bad as letting a psychopath go who is going to kill Guy.

Wal is acting like a mother acts when she thinks her kid is keeping secrets. Which makes me suspect I've learned something about the writer.

In fairness, Wal has asked Guy what's happening and Guy has lied to him several times, so while his behavior is carried away, I don't think it's outrageous or unrelatable.

It was definitely off. First, Guy's reaction didn't make a lot of sense. Tew had just told him that he hadn't…
I think you're 100% correct. Also, the terrible writing wanted to preserve the villain for later and couldn't think of a better way to handle it. The whole scene was pointless and could have been handled completely differently.

It's sort of like if a snake is about to bite your friend, you try to find a bucket so you can capture it and safely free it in the wild. Youre a great guy - to snakes, not so much people you love.

I agree with you on so many things. Mostly that Meen is lava hot and Ping is freaking cute, so any plot holes…
I largely agree with all that, but while he was sulking, Guy wanted Wal to call - he didn't really think of Tew. I think the whole thing could have worked better if Guy found his thoughts moving steadily from Wal to Tew. Hopefully focusing on the opening scene, which would certainly be playing over and over in my head if I had been in his place.

Guy is an idiot? At least he didn't betray his unforgiving boss in order to spare the life of a total psycho who…
Do we know that Wal knows how Guy feels about him? I haven't gotten that sense.

But let's assume he does. Wal being possessive and confused isn't as bad as Tew doing things that will get Guy and his family killed, not to mention himself. There's the general stupidity of youth, which we all experience, and setting a psychopath on his way to kill people.
Replying to jpny01 Nov 18, 2023
I don't agree about Wal - I don't really see what he's done wrong other than being overprotective, which is not…
Is there a large difference between overprotective and possesssive? Wal felt there was something off, both with Tew and the way Guy was behaving, and it set off his alarms.

When you're close to someone, you notice right away when something is off - and it's concerning if they won't tell you what's wrong.

Also, how is what he did any different than the way Guy is behaving? I'm not going to condemn someone for having confused feeings just because he's not the endgame - I certainly suffered from it at that age.

Also, for guys, your best friends are separate from your girlfriends, especially in your youth. My best friend in HS took me a bit for granted because he viewed me as a lifelong partner and girls as transient, so I was likely to be pushed aside when Jeff Jr. was acting up. It hurt, of course, but I knew I'd still be there when he got bored of her. And he knew I'd still be there when he got bored with her.

The feeling is different if you're in love with the guy, but if the guy doesn't know that, I don't see how he'd know that he would have to treat you like men don't treat other men in order to avoid hurting you.

All that is blurred in BL, of course, because everyone is a little gay. Or more than a little.

Most people don't have feelings for two people at once, especially when as inexperienced as Guy and who has been…
Yes, but you don't go from 0 to150 kph in ten seconds. If your love for one person is strong, it's not so simple to switch gears. Usually the first one is fading before the second can even take root. If during his moping Guy had thought of Tew - even if secondarily to Wal, then I could have bought it - but he didn't.

This isn't terrible and I'm not dropping it, but I think the latest episode was the weakest by far, and only Wal really delivered for me (and no, I don't like him - but the actor is doing a stellar job with him).

The anime soundtrack would have worked better if it had just been for a moment and matched the mood of the scene - the music was very 1980s dark-romance and it was jarring and cringey.
