OK - I think we all saw the grandmother thing from a mile away, but I have to admit it was well-executed and I cried a bit. But that little girl was still a better actor than Ohm - I'm sorry, but he'd be too stiff playing a fencepost. His comic timing is pretty good though.
Guide is something else - he manages to pull off cute/beautiful/sexy without much evident effort. And Atom is so, so hot. I wonder if he kept forgetting his character's name so they changed it to his real name. I wish it was Peach and Guy or Peach and Atom. But it isn't and life's tough.
Good episode. I just love Peach. He has such a warm personality. Hope the grandma doesn't die. I'm trying to not…
Good policy. The survival rate of BL mothers is 50% at best, and 0% for grandmothers. The only way a grandmother can make it all tyhe way through a BL is if she starts off dead already, but even then her spirit often gets called away to wherever it goes.
True. I wonder is Earth and Bas get depressed when they get the scripts and find they have to play a teenager yet again. At least it's the white shirt uniform and not the blue shorts.
This is not an attack, but it made. me spit up my drink that you wrote "...this is the first omegaverse / car…
OK, that's different. I thought you meant mpreg. My only complaint about the Omegaverse angle is it's so weakly included that there's not much point to it and it just confuses things. But it's a great idea.
I have to say that this isn't grabbing me. I like it and think it's fun, but there's something missing from it. Maybe it's too focused on slickness at the expense of character. The only side characters that have any distinction are Jeff and Michael Kiettisak's character (and even the usually sublime Michael is underwhelming in this, although a lesser actor would be total cringe in this role).
Maybe it's Charlie - he's just not engaging and I don't feel any chemistry, although Pavel almost makes up for it.
Also, the villains are cartoonish, which I find boring and lazy. I like that the writing is trying a few things that are different, but there's too much that's cliche and predictable. Like I'm 100% certain Charlie is not doing anything bad - whenever someone is being suspicious but really vague about their motives, they never have bad intentions. But I'm predicting something will happen that will REALLY make him look bad, but it will turn out to be positive.
The Omegaverse stuff should have been omitted - if they're only going to be half-assed about it it's just confusing. I like the idea, but I needed some commitment to it.
Anyway, I'm enjoying Pavel in this, so I'm not going anywhere, but I hope it improves storywise.
It's slowly sinking and will likely end up around 7.7, but I agree. But I often don't get why people like things - I thought Vice Versa was awful but it still has an 8.0 after all these months.

I have to admit I don't like it. It seems pointless and vaguely homophobic. What's the point of having a story about two men if one is in all serious respects a woman? I suspect it's a generational thing, but then I'm turning into an old grump that blames everything on our youth.
hoping that charlie and jeff actually have good intentions to help xhunter, they seem so shady and suspicous lol.…
This is not an attack, but it made. me spit up my drink that you wrote "...this is the first omegaverse / car racing series i've seen..." Are you expecting to see a ton of other omegaverse car racing series? Anyway, this is surprisingly fun, and I love Pavel.
That was dull, other than the Boss thing, but even that is kind of stupid because it's the result of a totally unbelievable plot element - there's absolutely no reason why Tew would haev let Kenji go - it was just incompetent writing and now it's made the drama very difficult to invest in. I found myself ff to scenes where Meen takes his shirt off, of which I will never tire.
I kind of forgave the fall/catch because the episode proper hadn't really started, but the drunkenness - that's a lazy writing crutch that's grown beyond tiresome. I suppose I should be grateful he didn't vomit all over the place.
I was looking forward to this more than anything, and then that fall & catch in the first scene completely destroyed any desire I have to watch this. Except I will ff through it to stare at Stan Huang where appropriate.
But seriously, I let that go if they don't keep throwing in stupid cliches. On account of Stan Huang. Good God, how is anyone that hot?
OK, I got through it. The problem is the main character is just awful. I think it's to be expected that one's inhibitions will be lowered when drinking, but he's going way over the line, and he's such a whiny little bitch, and it's way too much to have him that drunk for two entire episodes - it's not a good sign when the author is leaning so heavily on a particularly lazy cliche.
I wish the assistant were the main character - he's cuter and more interesting.
Love Sick might have been my first BL - I can't remember if it was that or SOTUS. But I do remember being bored out of my mind, especially in S2, which was torture and I can't imagine I would have watched it if it weren't such a novelty. So it's hard to imagine this new version being any more interesting, especially with mid-teen actors who are not going to be allowed to be within a meter of each other.
But maybe they'll cast professsional actors and they'll blow us away with their incredible talent and ability. It was hard to keep a straight face while writing that.
