Ugh, that was miserable. BLs rely too heavily on misunderstanding, but without making the misunderstandings plausible or emotionally authentic. That leaves just contrived and tiresome drama that's unpleasant to watch. "I have feelings for you" "I have feelings for you too." Endless misunderstandings ensue? Why? What's ambiguous here? If you want them to be confused, then don't have a conversation like that - it makes no sense.
I'm really disappoined because this has had a lot going for it, but I don't think I'm really interested in continuing it. I liked the contrast between Tag's fantasy about how Phojai would react vs the reality, and although it was sad, that scene was well-written, made sense for their characters, and it was how actual people would behave and react.
I also liked how Antoine's candy bar was "dark chocolate" - that was a cute touch.
Yeah. Unfortunately I have to agree that each episode since 3 has been getting worse. I guess I'm going to have…
There certainly is a lot of test taking. That offers a clue to the age of the author. I'm just at the age where I've stopped having that recurring nightmare where you have a physics final tomorrow and forgot to go to class all semester, so I'm not keen to relive that for 45 minutes a week. I suppose we should be grateful they're not spending all ep texting people.
This is so abominably written that it's hard to believe anyone would have selected this to produce, but we've seen worse. It's not just the convoluted plot with weird twists that aren't set up at all - which nobody likes and just makes you groan. But also the way it's stuffed with stupid BL cliches. That scene where they were fighting over the phone, then ended.up in a ridiculously contrived position starting at each other for 15 minutes. Kudos to the actors for being able to maintain their balance and keep still for that long.
But the acting is so good and Perth is so goergous that I can't turn away. When he smiles it actually hurts.
About the mattress thing...well, in Thailand most mattresses are veeeery firm. It's like sleeping on the floor.…
The point was it was supposed to be bouncy and it wasn't. That pales in comparison to the phone struggle->staring contest. Also. bouncy isn't the same thing as soft or comfortable, so whoever wrote that has probably never been on a luxury bed.
Episode 7 was so bad that I'm not even bothering with Ep 8. That last conversation Sunwoo and Yu Kyeom was so insipid and melodramatic that I almost fainted from sighing in frustration. too much. I get that BL characters don't ever act like actual men, but do they have to act like middle-aged divas in a Mexican soap opera? What young man in the history of the human race has ever behaved like Sunwoo? He likes Yoo Kyeom, Yoo Kyeom likes him. It's pretty simple: go somewhere private and get busy. Yes, I know, people can have trauma that effects how they interact with people, blah, blah, blah. But if that's the case, we need to know what that trauma is, or his behavior is so unrelatable that it's impossible to care.
Is there some secret international cabal that meets vto decide on the story that all BLs are required ot have?
"It's decided then. The first half of 2022 will be basketball. The following year shall be tsundere bosses and peppy new employee."
I will grant that for once there was a decent reason for the uke to trip instead of his just kicking his own foot and falling like is usual.
Other than his slammin' body, the General Manager doesn't do anything for me, but Shun Yu is so cute and beautiful that it really doesn't matter what the writing is like.
I started off thinking this was cute, but it quickly degenereated into a checklist of cliches. Was anyone surprised what would happen when he got onto the ladder? Because it's a comedy I could get past the memory eraseure from drinking 2.5 beers, but not that the falling thing.
There's a mysterious algorithm on this site. If you look at the actual votes, it's about 8.2.
I have no idea, and nobody knows what the algorithm i based on. But if you go to the top right, to the right of the"photos" link, there's a graph symbol. If you click on that, there are age statistics. I think that's a better representation of what people think.
I like this. There are a lot of cliches, like the non-consensual hug from behind (i.e. assault and battery), but they don't prolong things, like the evil girl thing, and the series feels fresh and original. I love the size difference. Hsu Kai is really hot - I'm looking forward to seeing more of him, IF you know what I mean.
I don't really find the second couple very interesting - their characters are too formulaic and it's a bit static.
oh ok this is actually giving... the only thing bothers me is that he's a minor lmao although their feelings is…
The age of consent in Taiwan is 16, so he's legal (unless you really count ze Rui as his teacher, which is not legal). Also, Ze Rui did that in his sleep - not really his fault.
Do you know the plot I hate in dramas the most? It's the "we knew each other as children plot"... I absolutely…
I'm with you there 100%. Usually they've been carrying a torch for them for something like saving them from drowning or showing them attention when they were sad (because being sad when you're 5 is something you'll remember when you're in your 20s.) So if you think about it, if the last time a character saw another was in childhood, he's an adult who has a crush on a small child.

The actors are cute though, and doing a good job.
