I mean the synopsis starts with "a love story-" 😅 But yes this is a historical romance drama so it is heavy on romance. I agree with other comments for more battle heavy historicals films will be your friend. Many sageuks do have a romance component. The ones that do not that I can think of still aren't heavy with battle scenes so sadly no recommendations come to mind. If I do think of any I will comment one!

I think you should decide that based on your own instincts. If any kind of miscommunication, boundary crossing, hurt feelings and imperfect actions really bothers you in a relationship this may not be for you. Our leads are flawed people in rough circumstances and they show it. I am not sure what boundaries you are referring to though. The ML definitely lets his imperfections get in his way and can be a jerk. However I don't recall him ever crossing too much of a line in seriousness. But their dynamic is very flawed so it could be this drama is not your thing!

I left a reply to try to support your post though I don't feel hopeful MDL will change anything. But it can't hurt! Maybe other people here who feel similarly can also go support it so more people can see?
I really wish MDL would not separate shows like this into 2 parts. It's not two seasons just one connected show with a break in airing. It should be that you give one rating and review to the show as a whole, not two separate ones. It's the same continuous story. Plus it means this show will likely never go into Trending Dramas because the number of watchers will be split.
