I don’t think a stable life sealed the deal for XY. Jing is the only person she couldn’t help herself around:
- couldn’t help but blush, got jealous, got whiny, said she didn’t want to see him but then dressed up girly for him

Other folks she loved but she could help herself. I am interested but:
- You are just my brother. You are not suitable to enter a girl’s dream. I promised to do one thing for that guy so I couldn’t marry you.

The heart wants what it wants. When you really love someone, no matter how flawed the person is, you always find valid reasons to continue. When the love is not enough, you have excuses.

Where do we petition for a change of schedule again? How can we survive 4 days of no episode later this week?

I got to know him from Miss the dragon and DW and his pairing saved the show. I haven’t watch Sassy beauty, do you recommend it? His roles in TTEOTM could have been awesome if not for the heavy edit to 40 episodes.

A few changes potentially driven by censorship:
1. When young Xiao Yao carried young CX on her back, they were talking about how to protect each other forever, and XY said: “I will marry you, that way we can stay together forever “. This was potentially redubbed due to censorship but the mouth movement revealed the original script.
2. XY’s mother was made to call CX’s grandmother shifu, making people think they are not blood related, however, later in the series, XY’s grandfather told her she looked exactly like her granny. Note that in ancient China, marrying one’s cousin was socially normal, especially in Royal families.

They are so cute, can’t ship this in the series but would support if they rematch in the next project

In the novel, I think XY went out a lot with FFB. One of the reasons was she thought that this news will soon travel to Jing. Jing was not in contact for a while and she was keen to know his reaction the the news.

If I were her I wouldn’t be able to answer either. While I only want to marry one guy, I want to spend my life with as many family and friends as possible, so: CX, XL, Qing Shui town kids, daddy, grandfather, etc.

I think one of the reasons I am so conflicted between Jing and XL is script/storyline vs on screen visuals.

In the script/storyline, XY only have physical reactions with Jing (blush, can’t help her self but get jealous, even whiny and want to dress up like a girl).

On screen, while JingYao chemistry is good, the on screen tension between XY and XL is much higher. Even when the script, XY’s inner thoughts, says: “ God, I am super bored, when will you finish sucking?”, the screen says “Hot 🥵 “.

Would be nice to see Yang Zi and Tan Jian Ci to rematch as FL and ML in another romance series, preferably with happy ending.

I would definitely lust over XL. If XL were to pull me so close or suck my neck I would die blushing.

At this point Jing is half way in her heart, the only person to make her blush, jealous, or try to dress up like a girl. She doesn’t let anyone fully in because her fear of abandonment. Jing seems to have quite high boundaries and doesn’t want to kiss until he is fully inside her heart, and not out of pity.

At this point, XL is definitely someone important to her mentally, someone who “even with slim chance” could enter her dreams. But he is also CX’s death-enemy, and she values CX more than life itself (as a family member), so she doesn’t even give XL the opportunity to go near the door to her heart.

I notice that Xiaoyao never blush around XL, no matter how close he pulls her towards him. Let see if she gets jealous later seeing FFB with other women. She seems to have him in her mind though, she has memories of him in the mirror and probably thinking about him like a very interesting soulmate.

I was the same, parked everything including eating and read 3 books in 3 days. I wish I didn’t though as the series is more multifaceted with viewpoints from more characters. The fun is half gone now that I think I know the key events in the storyline.

Feng Long only joined the race recently and didn’t manage to do much but his visual!!!

I am shipping XY with whoever is on screen with her at that moment.

It’s crazy but XY manages to have good chemistry with even A Nian.

who knows what may happen, the series might not go the same way as the book

FFB will hopefully only takes forward steps, looking forward to their hot dates
