Have not watched Ashes of Love but know enough about it to hold off. This drama makes me want to watch And the…
AOL is worth the angst in my opinion. One of my favs for sure. It's like LAR, it gets pretty angsty but then they both make it up to each other. It's not bad. I think the angst is a little less heartbreaking than LAR. Plus the couple chemistry is so on point. And and winner is love is a snooze. I tried my best and got through about 8 episodes but could not continue, so hope you make it through. I think I fell asleep half way watching and couldn't care enough to continue after that LOL
i was excited before the second trailer. I am not anymore i don't want to see a character who cheats on her husband...
Cheat? What makes you say that? It sounds like they were divorced before she meets and marry someone else. It's not wrong for someone to move on after a divorce? It sounded to me like her 1st husband (Eric) lied and broke her heart bc of his spy job so they broke up. Afterwards she marry someone else who's also a spy and also lying to her. If anything I already feel bad for our FL and bracing myself to watch her going through some torments
I agree with you about the ML. I was a little annoyed with how much ML was underestimating her at every turn.…
Up to ep 8. I didn't say there's anything wrong with him deterring her from Du Lei. 2nd ML is clearly using her, so ML was right to do that. . I 'm annoyed with the way he keep underestimating her bc of her illness & assume she would break down at every turn. I also was just replying to the OG comment about how they think it's silly FL didn't know who Du Lei was right off the bat.
I don’t like both leads,so far he’s a bit too condescending and FL seems really emotional and impulsive for…
I agree with you about the ML. I was a little annoyed with how much ML was underestimating her at every turn. Altho I think the FL's character is good enough for me. I mean she is only an intern, not a seasoned director like the ML. Plus this is investment banking not entertainment world, so it makes sense to not know 2nd lead's face. Most day-to-day economic article seldom include a executive director's face, unless they are doing an article to highlight a specific person.. They mostly just report the market changes, business news and such. If anything it's a little weird how much the press was chasing ML down for his gf.... I mean he's not a celebrity, who in the business world would care if an exec in an investment company has a girl friend of not? They only care about numbers and money and company's board gossip. That's what affect the market and makes them money. FL aim to be an ethical investment analyst, so I think she has just the right amount of emotion for where she is in her career. She's also just an intern. She does seem to be quite capable for Someone who literally just started in the business. With that business, everything comes with experience and wit. She's supposed to fail and learn, and it does seem like she's handling things fine. I was really annoyed with how much ML just assume she would break down every 5 mins. However, it looks like he's starting to learn that she's no longer the same girl he knew years ago and is starting to root for her career. I would love to see him be a better mentor/support for her in her career. Again I mean it is a fluff drama that romanticize tear allergy.. There's going to be cliche tropes, so I didn't expect a mind blowing business scheme.
yes! it actually does exist but it is very rare. 10 years ago, there were only 35ish people in the world who had…
from my quick read, there's different variation of this allergy. Some is allergic to all water, some is cold water and some is only to warm/heat base water like tears, sweat, etc. Of course some probably has a stronger reaction than others. For the most part people break out in hives and itches. Idk if this would be the case for your son though since this is a rare disease and there are other more common reasons that could cause similar symptom like allergy to other content in the soap or some other skin issue.

In real life it's a lot more intense tho. It's not a tear allergy but a water allergy. So not just tears but people with this allergy would be allergic to their own sweat. Have to drink milk in place of water and take a bunch of allergy medication before they can shower and so on. It's definitely a lot more miserable of an allergy in real life.
If not for the ML & FL, I would have watch this drama series. Somehow I find that they are not an attractive pair…
Have you tried watching any of the show? Give it a few episodes and I think you might change your mind. FL is beautiful in the role and she's an excellent actress. She has a unique look. She can both be cute and beautiful. I know the ML looks old and I love an eye candy, but he has amazing charisma. I was hesitant at first too, but once I started, I couldn't stop binging. ML really did a great job at capturing your attention. He's not the pretty kind of man. He feels like a real man and his acting is far better than lots of other pretty boy ML. The plot is very interesting and every scene is quite stunning in my opinion. JC is one of my favorite ML in these xian xia dramas. The way he resolve every situation is wayyy more mature and thorough than many other MLs in these shows. Their love is not as apparent and intense at the beginning like most of these dramas. It builds and it goes deep. Their love is much more mature than what you typically see. I avoided this show for a while bc I wasn't sure if I can get into the actor playing the ML being older and with facial hair. I was really happy I decided to give it a try. Give it a shot and you might like it.
Your opinion isn't everyone's. May be this is just not your vibe. I'm neither Bo gum or PSD fans. I like some…
I didn't say crazy dramatic plot is what you like. I just said that because you said this is a soap drama. Overly dramatic is what I view as a soap. I get what you're saying and I didn't think this show is perfect. It barely reaches the mid point yet, so there's a chance it can go south. I like the show, so I'm just enjoying it to see how it all play out. I wouldn't have said my piece if you didn't say people are swept up in their favoritism. You can have the opinion not the like the show, but don't assume those who fall in love with the show is just there for the favoritism. I fall in love with this show for how it is. I clicked on it on curiosity and got sucked in. It can just not be your type of show, but don't make comments assuming anyone who likes the show is here because of their bias. You stated your opinion and I stated mine to show you my point of view about this show. I didn't assume what you like or don't like. I'm saying I enjoy the show and its easy pace and I like that it's not an intense show. That's all I'm trying to say.
Misunderstanding was common in any other drama.. which later will creates an angesty....talk about FL .....insecurity…
He legit took away the fruit from her to give a girl she already thought he has a thing for. Misunderstanding or not doesn't matter. He watched how hard she worked for those. He was jealous and in a moment of childishness, he just took it away. At least he get to learn the full truth about her sacrifice after and redeem himself. Everyone loves him for it regardless. However, more or less the same scenario is happen for FJ, misunderstanding comes in between and she didn't learn the truth until close to the end, but she also made sacrifice to help him. The reaction from the audience for both scenario show the double standard. The women suffer- it's as they should since they were the one pursuing, they should have been more devoted. The men suffer - how dare that FL let him suffer like that. she's a bitch. bla bla bla. I mean... I've seen annoying FL, and FJ is far from that. I guess I'm just a lot like FJ. I look at actions not words, so i totally get why she didn't just blindly trust him after getting hurt so many times before.
Misunderstanding was common in any other drama.. which later will creates an angesty....talk about FL .....insecurity…
yeah but why should she trust him? He might have said nothing is up but his action before again and again made her misunderstand. In her mind, she thinks he's just trying to appease her. As she said, she thought he cared about her but also JH. Sure He saved her from the dream realm, but she didn't know the sacrifice he made. In her mind, he's Dijun and he took the steps to save a girl he care about bc she's in trouble. Just like he did for JH many times. Because she didn't know the gravity of that action. Like I said no one is wrong. However, without the knowledge of his sacrifice or clear up all the misunderstanding, she is to trust his words a lone? I mean right before starting to say loving words to her with the dream realm, her last knowledge is him taking the fruit she worked hard to win fair and square to JH. Yes, there is misunderstanding, but again, she doesn't know that deep. Bc again no one tells her ANYTHING. Despite all the mishaps, she love him and doesn't really care, thinking JH is his past. However, she never got the chance to feel secure about their love. If your bf is so outstanding with that much entanglement with a woman and took things from you to give to her, would you trust wev he says no matter how many time his action proves otherwise? Trust is earn with action. She didn't know about the sacrifice he made so in her mind, his love for her is secondary and she loves him too much to deal with that. Again, DH didn't really have time to do much before the world comes crashing. I understand he can't tell her the full truth, but a thorough conversation would have helped her understand. He's very childish in love, so it's fine. The situation is tricky and they did their best. I was just so peeved about the hate FJ gets LOL
Misunderstanding was common in any other drama.. which later will creates an angesty....talk about FL .....insecurity…
Honestly I don't think people give enough weight to the lack of communication on Dijun's side. On top of the insecurity, in her lucid mind, he barely had time to build up trust before the world comes crashing. Had he talk to her about what was going on, things would have been different. However, I understand him and he is also new at love. It's just very unfair how much people hate FJ for her decision. When she was devoted to him and sacrifice endlessly, she's annoying and tooo much. Then, after getting hurt over and over, she just barely experience Dong Hua's love for a short time, before she gets more cold shoulders. Yes he has his own situation. However, if you are in her shoes, what would you have done. She has her own insecurities but she did tried her best. She doesn't even know anything was wrong with the Abyss and the Demon Chick at all. How could she possibly imagine the all powerful Dijun would have valid reason to not show up to see her. Also, why is it so wrong for her to look after her own heart this time around and choose herself and her child first? She spent so much of her time and effort on this love. Before Donghua was able to gain back her trust, this whole thing happen. The situation sucks, but they both have valid reason for their action. However, it's ridiculous how much FJ gets blamed, when she is honestly the more rational one. She didn't know he was suffering, so she left to cultivate and take care of her child. She didn't know he was in danger, so in her mind, it's not that big of a deal. That if fate would have it, she can see him again whenever. from her perspective, I don't think it was as harsh as everyone makes it out to be. She actually was the rational one. She waited for an explanation, but it never came. She can't keep waiting for a mere the possibility of him coming back, when there's a child growing. She made the strong and independent decision to take care of her own happiness and her child. At some point, your love obsession is no longer important, when you decided to raise a child.
If you think about it, DJ is the irrational one with the way he handle the relationship. He didn't communicate and childishly think she can just understand his love with a few words, after a few days of them being together (bc they really didn't get together til after the dream realm). He did sense that she had misunderstanding, but never fully explain and never told her what he was dealing with. I Altho again, I understand because DJ is new to love as well. however, if he was a FL, and this girl hold everthing in and never tell the ML the truth and then this whole thing happen. The audience would criticize that she can't communicate. That she's annoying for not tell the truth. We see it all the time in other drama. Just because he has a calm face and a man, people seems to unable to see his action at face value. All these men made decisions on her behalf and never gave her the chance to do the right thing . Yet blame her for not enduring and ddevoted to Donghua no matter what, despite not even having the knowledge of the depth of the love, because they all hide the truth from her. The truth about her shadow, the truth about his sacrifice to enter the dream realm. They hide things from her over and over but then Chong Lin has the gall to blame everything on her and blame her for not being nicer to dijun bc sshe is just supposed to wait and love Donghua no matter how much pain his action caused her without any knowledge of the truth? It pisses me off honestly
The situation they were in was tricky and they both just made the best decision they can think of at the time. No one is truly in the wrong here. I just hate how much people hate on FJ. Meanwhile, I don't think I would do anything differently if I was in her shoes.
People are just so swept up with this favoritism sometimes. How this drama deserves anything above 8 for what…
Your opinion isn't everyone's. May be this is just not your vibe. I'm neither Bo gum or PSD fans. I like some of their stuff but never really follow their work. I just watch this bc the trailer looks great and I am completely in love. I find the story very realistic even in the way the families interact and the dynamic between different family members due their their biases and grudges they hold. If you've ever had a complicated family dynamic you'll get it. I like that it wasn't because of them crazy secrets or whatever that makes this family fight. It's over differences in their point of view, resentment from how they see themselves and their past. Very normal things in any family. The expectations of their sons and the way they treat their sons differently because of it. I also find ML journey to be a great actor while trying to stay pure in murky waters very interesting. I also interested in the 2nd lead story to unfold when his world comes crashing down as he learn he never earn anything he has and his whole life is basically an empty shell. He always feel like he's generous for helping his friend but in reality, he's part of the group that took away his friend's opportunity despite being the less talented one. However, 2nd lead prob doesn't really know what he's good at acting or if he even wants to be an actor. That whole self discovery could be interesting. I want to see how he would cope. I also LOVE the interaction between the couple. I love to hear their interaction and it's not the cliche dramatic lines with a bunch of dramatic moment to make us get butterflies, but simply fun conversions. That's what real dating is. You immediately would be attracted to someone who has great banter with you and can catch you off guard. I really like their interaction. Imagine all those romantic shows with butterfly moments. Have you ever wonder without some situation to create romantic scenes, what do those people talk about? That's what life is. To fall for someone you never run out of conversion or get tired of talking to. You can see from their eyes the way they fall for each other. This is where the actors did a great job. Of course if you're fast forwarding instead of really watching, you'll miss the moments the lens focused on their eyes. This is a story of a guy's journey to become an actor and all the factors in his life that make his journey happen. The MAIN minus point in this show so far is really the lack of development with the FL's past. They really better explore her past more than they are now for this to be a great show. However, I'm watching this weekly and I am entertained and found some very real relatable moments for me. I'm excited and look forward to the next episode. That's all a drama needs to do for me. Not every drama has to be some crazy dramatic plot, some just let you enjoy the moment. It's ok if it's not for you but don't assume everyone else should feel the way you do.
It's not bad for a fluffy romance, but I feel like it could have been done better. The way they edit the story and idk the general rhythm of some scenes were just a little off? I like the basis of the story but The way the story is told is a little shallow in the writing. They don't let you connect with the character enough and idk I like this actress but I don't think her acting is the best here? It's still a cute show. I just think in a different directing hand it would have been better. The cinematography is pretty good though. I think just the overall editing and the writing is a little off. Like all the pieces are there but don't fit properly
It's actually a real allergy. I did some research into it cause my husband's a Biologist and he once told me it…
Noo wayyyyy?? For real? wow that's insane. Welp I guess may be that's how the author got their inspiration. I looked it up and it looks like it's an allergy to all water. 1 in 230 million people with this allergy. Looks like the reality of it is way worse though. They have to drink milk instead of water bc they would get sores in their throat and they would get rashes when they sweat. They also have to take strong medication to help the allergic reaction before taking a shower... yikes. The real illness is definitely not pretty...... They can't even go out in the rain.... man Imagine being allergic to something that makes up 70% of your body.
ahhh I love LJW and really wanted to watch him in a ML role so I will check this out. I'm not s huge Go Ara fan tho. No hate. I think she acts really well, but that's also why I get so into her coupling and then get disappointed with her dead fish kissing style.... it's always like that with her> I keep thinking she'll get better but it's always the same so I stopped watching dramas she's in. Her super dead fish kiss scene always ruin the chemistry for me.... You don't have to tongue each other. but it's like she stop acting at that moment and she looks kind miserable? Like she's waiting for this bit to be over.... idk I hope this would be good though. I will give it a chance
