I definitely didn't expect to like this drama, but in the end I think it was definitely worth the watch. I mainly watched it for So Ji Sub (idk why I love that man) but honestly the FL really impressed me with her acting! I really fell in love with her character. Aside from that I enjoyed the interaction between Kim Bon and the kids. That's probably the best part. Definitely some plot holes and an overly simplified plot, but nonetheless a good watch.

ARGH I just finished episode 13 and I'm so frustrated. I just want to power through this drama and get it over with. I honestly thought that this was going to be the last episode but there's like 2 more episode and I can't even comprehend how much plot they have left?!

I honestly loved the OTP at first, and yes the exes were annoying but at least ML/FL knew they were nuts and didn't entertain them. But after that "breakup" I just lost it. I'm not even sure what the reasoning was? It seems like she wasn't ready for a new relationship. I mean, let's be real, she only broke up with her ex maybe a month before she started dating ML. But what's with the whole "it makes me uncomfortable to eat with you"?

I also don't love they way they're approaching how to deal with mental illnesses. It seems like a pretty large topic to just breeze over. But fine, I understand it's a kdrama after all.

Honestly, still one of my favourite Taiwanese dramas of all time. I can't imagine anyone watching it today and loving it, but for that time, I honestly could not get over it. I was OBSESSED. To this day, I still want a Mont Blanc bracelet.

I'll never forget when I watched TMTETS and what it made me feel. An absolute masterpiece, and imo what brought KSH to stardom.

Her writing is so distinct! I love that I can identify immediately what her style is. I absolutely love it, and I love the way she portrays her stories in the dramas. I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us!

Unpopular opinion, but I didn't hate episode 12?

Yes, No Eul linking arms with ML and using his shoulder to cry on while FL was standing watching was cringe, but I think it was pretty character of him to brush her off politely instead of being rash and telling her to F off.

Not telling ML about the break and entering was definitely a huge flaw. I'll get behind that. He's obviously crazy and you should tell someone?! Girl! You called your BF for a reason! Also why did you not leave the house when he told you to?

I am optimistic that they won't break up, because I'm holding onto the fact that they're mature enough to get through this. So far, their relationship has been a joy to watch - full of understanding and trust (even when it isn't warranted). So I hold out hope!

3 Things:1) I'm pretty sure Haekyung is my ideal guy. There are a lot of MLs I love, but there are a few that…
LOL when Keanu cleaned up I actually freaked out inside.

I am personally not a fan of Hwang Jung Eum and her acting (don’t @ me) but I enjoyed watching her in this show!…
Going to @ you because same! She's the only reason I was hesitant to start this drama.

Perfectly paced drama imo. I love how they didn't have 16 episode's just for the sake of having 16 episodes and drag it out. Each episode felt like it was well thought out and planned. We had a chance to see a range of characters and slowly see more of the history unfold into how things became the way they were today. I only was a little curious as to why Choi Won Young was able to come back from the afterlife since he took over her debt? But maybe I missed something as well. All in all, it was really enjoyable, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Netflix really picking up great drama's these days my gosh.

I share your frustration with Keanu. Dribs and drabs of information are not helpful, especially if Jae-kyung is…
Wow, those foreshadows just went completely over my head. Well, now that's definitely concerning!

Man I had a total flashback moment to She Was Pretty when Do Hee told Ah Young to smile. Ah Young reminds me of that eccentric CEO lol.

I am also so frustrated at how homeless doctor (Keanu) just gives information in bits in pieces. Like Hae Kyung said, WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO SOONER!? And we're obviously missing even more of the story, so we'll just have to wait until that all slowly seeps out. But I swear if there's some big climatic moment where Do Hee is kidnapped or something, and all could have been prevented if Keanu had said something sooner... Imma be salty.

I second that. Even if we're not talking K-drama land, if someone did that to me personally, I think I'd always wonder why I wasn't good enough and why now am I good enough? It's not as easy as reset and forget.

I love this show to bits but Ep. 9 (17/18) was a slog, save for all the scenes with our OTP. They shimmered as…
Oh I definitely felt that. I think they just did it quickly (which I appreciate because it was same day). It did suck for sure having crappy subs, but I have a feeling they might correct it with some more time?

Yea he's being literal. Ah-Young was shocked at first because she thought it had also meant death but he just meant that they're gone somewhere else in the world.

I feel like this drama didn't get the hype it deserved! The cast is pretty stellar. Definitely a slow burn - I definitely felt a couple slower than slow points, but after the latest episode (8) I feel like things are taking a sharp incline in a faster direction. I don't particularly love the "psychiatrist" part where I feel like they're breezing over mental health topics by using food... but I guess I wasn't expecting much from that in the first place. The exe's the annoy the crap out of me, but I'm glad the stance of both the leads has been clear since the beginning.

I am so impressed with this comment section! I've never really participated in community chats before/after watching dramas (until recently ovc) so it's really refreshing to have insight into how ya'll prepare for what you're going to watch and research up on it. Makes me really excited to see how this section will develop as the drama unfolds.

First of all, excellent drama. Was hesitant to watch because I'm not a huge fan of "gore" or lets be real non-rom com type drama's. But if the drama has a good plot along with good acting, you best believe I'm here for it! I've read some of the comments here and I tend to agree with most. Though, I did notice a lot of people were annoyed with Minhee, and tbh I'd have agreed at first. Though after some thought, I realized that I had to take a huge step back. She was the victim of sex-trafficking. A victim. If pimps/services didn't exist, sex-trafficking would also cease. Oji knew she was underage, and still chose to allow her to work. She has a right to be upset. She has a right be confused. She has a right to feel angry. Yes, she could have chose not to work there, but like the entire drama, life and answer's aren't black and white. If we can understand Ji Soo's decision to profit off of sex-trafficking, why can't we understand Minhee's frustration with the fact that they allowed her to do it? Just my two cents.

jisoo was by far my favorite character right up until the last ep when he left minhee to die alone and afraid...like…
Agreed. I think throughout the entire series although we was doing something "wrong", he always had a sort of moral compass that was guiding him. Him leaving Minhee in the end was like him throwing away his humanity.

I remember watching this for the first time in high school on youtube and my mom thought that something was wrong cause I couldn't breathe from crying so hard. It definitely is one of the most impactful movies I've ever seen, and during the time when it came out it was absolutely one of the most talked about movies/series. I'd highly recommend the watch.
