A lot of MM novels are like that too, especially when the characters don’t believe they’re gay at first.
It’s really good trust me. It’s the way they tell the story that makes it amazing: the camera movement, the little details, and the chemistry is absolutely insane.

They keep acting like real life is all roses and sunshine. Not every story is meant to be soft or moral, some are meant to be dark, uncomfortable, and complex.

People like that are what I call the Fictional Ethics Task Force constantly judgmental. Some watch just to condemn, others don’t even give the series a chance and still rush in to comment nonsense.
