Title War of Y
I will respond to the delulu fans part because I’ve seen soooooo many fans shipping to the point of creating…
I don't think so, but it is on GagaOOLala as one of their free shows, just establish an account if you don't already have one.
(and if you have the $6.99/mo USD their subscription is absolutely worth it!!)

Totally agree with you. It seems all the pairings are real couples behind the scenes. In ToruFirst's storyline,…
Yeah, but SCOY was from IdolFactory and Saint was behind it all, and after his own experiences he has been demanding more out of the company he started and out of those he works with.
(unrelated side note: I can't wait for GAP!!)

And, don't forget Call It What You Want part 1 which started airing about 6 weeks after Lovely Writer.

There are some good examples of the toxicity in the BL industry, and those issues make me sad for my favorite actors and the workplace environments they've been around. Most especially since so many of them started so young!

You're not the only one. I really don't understand why they did that to him.
You are not alone - I hate it, and I don't think it suits the character and I don't think Prem is pulling it off. It's distracting and ugly on him.

Where can this be streamed in the US?
If you figure it out, please tag me and let me know or send me a message. I'm trying to find it as well.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, and I'm so sorry to those who like it, but I really do NOT like Prem with bright orange hair!! It's so distracting and off-putting. Just about any other color and I wouldn't hate it, but orange?? Nope!!

As for the show itself - it's painful to watch, and I feel bad that such good actors were cast into such bad roles. Someone should have paid more attention to the script writers and how the editors pieced scenes together. The lines aren't well written and it's choppy. Sadly, I'll still watch it to support Boun & Prem.

Who watched Rak Diao? It’s also overlooked by a lot of BL followers. The style is that of the old sitcoms, so…
I hated the sound effects and laugh track in that show -- but the actual story, the acting and everything else was excellent!! Maybe halfway through I was finally able to ignore the extremely irritating sounds and laughs and just enjoy the rest of it.

Currently, I don't think so - but I suspevt it's highly likely that he will. I think that's where Plustor's character is going to come in. 😁

When your emotional baggage and insecurities make you act in ways that hurt your loved ones it's called emotional…
FYI: I did include emotional abuse in my list of toxic behavior:
"Toxic includes physical abuse, mental abuse, emotional abuse, SA, criminal behavior and many other things"

The thing is, in TMS2 specifically those things weren't happening. Their #1 biggest problem was that there was no communication due to the underlying emotional baggage, insecurities and lack of self confidence. If they had honest and open communication then many of their issues could've been solved. As someone who is *significantly* older than many people on this platform (I'm 49) and as someone who has been in legitimately toxic relationships in the past (one of which included physical, verbal & emotional abuse and caused me to leave a marriage of 10 years with 3 kids) poor communication is hurtful, but it doesn't qualify as toxic. Calling poor communication, or even zero communication, that leads to a break up as toxic really dismisses and makes light of *truly* toxic situations.

So, I can't call this show toxic. It was raw, it was real, it showcased true human emotions and it demonstrated how people react when they have issues, baggage, insecurities, low self-esteem and live in the real world. It also showed how other people involved could act or react accordingly. That's life, that's living with other people, that's having relationships-- not everything in a relationship is good or happy, and that's okay. But, that doesn't make it toxic.
So many people keep commenting on how LGBTQ+ people suffer from these issues ... so, my commentary is mostly on the fact that people are still *Separating* groups of people!! This isn't an LGBTQ+ issue, this isn't a hetero issue ... these are HUMAN issues!!

Not every relationship is sunshine and roses, matter of fact, I think those who try to say they have that are probably liars. I would venture to say that we all come with issues and emotional baggage and all our successful relationships will go through pains and difficulties before we find true happiness and smoother sailing in our personal lives. That does not, by default, make our relationships toxic, it makes them normal. Toxic includes physical abuse, mental abuse, emotional abuse, SA, criminal behavior and many other things -- but having emotional baggage, insecurities and lack of self confidence does not equal a toxic relationship. It just means that if the people truly love each other they have work to do on themselves and in their relationship to make it work. That's not toxic, that's pretty normal.

So much of the BL genre is romanticized, or even written as fan service for women instead of representing real relationships, I think it's nice to see real human issues in a same sex relationship represented in this show. So, there's my two cents - take what you will from it.

It's MAME -- I think nearly all her novels / shows include non-con.
I avidly agree with you on a few of those points. Firstly, there are far worse authors, and they SHOULD be judged just as harshly!! I'm going to just take a guess and say that they aren't because they're not as well known and crowds tend to swarm on the well known.

Also, how many of her newer more evolved stories that you keep mentioning have been made into series' yet? I don't always keep up with who wrote which stories, because I honestly don't care. If I enjoy it then I don't care who wrote it -- if I don't enjoy it then it's not going to be because of subject matter, but rather because I was bored or I just disliked the plot/story itself.
(Examples: one of my all time favorites is Dangerous Drugs of Sex -- one of my all time least favorites is Physical Therapy) So, I'm not bothered by, sensitive to or triggered by content.

To an extent, I also agree the people should NOT skip part the content warnings and just watch whatever they want. The problem is that younger audiences want that "spicy" content (because let's be real - hormones) but they aren't old enough to regulate themselves from mature content that they can't emotionally handle. I do fault them to a degree, but even more so I fault their parents for not knowing what their kids do online. Or, is it maybe more accurate to say that most parents just don't care these days as long as the kids aren't bothering them. It's a complex situation, but either way the adults need to take more responsibility.

BL can be a beautiful genre, but it can also be a dangerous place for kids if *someone* isn't taking responsibility. I don't think it's fair to ask the kids to "police" themselves, because they just don't know better yet. I've seen people who were 12 saying they love all the BL content, I remember being 12,I remember my kids being 12 .... and no matter how mature a child thinks they are -- they are not nearly mature enough to make good decisions about some of this content.

Totally unrelated -- but if you're curious, I welcome you to look at my profile here and the list of things I've watched to see what I have, or haven't, enjoyed and what I rate various things.

Also, I'm about to sign off for the night, but I've enjoyed the discussion. 😊

Only to address a few points: but I actuality know a great deal about Asian culture. I'm almost 50 years old and first met my husband in 1997, and he's south-east Asian. Between his culture and only watching Asian TV in our household I'm very well versed in how things are in those countries. Second: you said there was nothing non consensual in Don't Say No, but have you forgotten the basketball player on the other team who was blackmailing Fiat and drugged him in the bar and kept smacking hiss backside on the court just to upset Leo? As for Lhong, he faced no punishment or consequences for his actions, and Thorn even forgave him. That's just not okay.

However, myself personally, I don't hate the content or tell anyone not to enjoy it or even say that people shouldn't watch it / read it. I just think it's only fair that people know what to expect when going into a particular author's work. All authors have this they're known for. It doesn't make any one any better or worse than any other, but the more people get into the genre the more they should know which authors have a higher chance of including potentially triggering material. Because A) viewers are getting younger and younger. B) society is getting more and more stupid/ overly sensitive and is "triggered" by subjects that didn't used to be an issue. And of the stories that MAME has written that have been turned into series' most of them include one or more of SA, incest, abuse in various forms, suicidal thoughts, and absolutely NO repercussions for these acts. Personally, I can deal with that, if the rest of the story is good enough then I don't care. BUT the younger and / or more sensitive audiences should know what to look out for. It's not a bad thing, necessarily, it just exists. I'm rather indifferent to its existence, but that doesn't mean we don't share knowledge and experience with others who may be more affected by it. I'm not sure why you take it so personally that in the series' she has available that this is what's been portrayed of her works, but it doesn't make it any less true that her film works have turned out that way.

TharnType, Love By Chance, Don't Say No - just to make a few. She's known for writing problematic and controversial stories with non-con and ZERO punishments or consequences for the perpetrators. She knows it, her fans know it and is just part of her style. I'm not saying people should hate her for it, but I don't recommend going into her stories thinking they'll be cute. fluffy or problem-free. It just is what is. Some people love it, others don't, but everyone should be aware of her writing style before going into one of her stories. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

So far this series isn't quite what I was expecting, but I don't hate it completely. I do think that that after that Episode 0 Daonuea & Nine should've kept in contact and they should've started the series with their relationship and *then* encountered their issues .... I just don't like where Episode 1 started off, it felt disjointed from Episode 0. I think this will get even more complicated before they get better, but at least I'm not bored.

Cute, really?? Not the word I would have chosen for something so dramatic and emotional with a creepy twist...
Meow, Ears Up was cute ...
This definitely isn't the darkest, or even close, but it's kind of silly to give the wrong impression completely, don't ya think? I'd hate to give any viewer, but especially a younger one, the wrong idea if they just skimmed comments. But that's just me.
