Is iqiyi going to release the uncut version on the 11th or the 17th? I keep hearing different things
The uncut version airs on the 17th, the edited TV version airs on the 11th. From what I gather, the uncut versions will all just be one week behind the edited versions.
I don't know GMMTV and so far I'm not interested, but I hope they promote many works with Perth, and especially…
Sadly, most of BL audience is accepting of sub-par work just to have gay stories. We, as a community, need to communicate to the developers writers and directors that this is no longer acceptable. We deserve quality stories that are more grounded in reality and showcase actual lgbtq+ issues with fantasy, romance and intimate elements mixed in. However, the quality of the story should be paramount. We need to lose the ridiculous tropes and pave new paths, not just have companies that try to push out as much content as possible.
As for Why R U specifically, I enjoyed the Fighter/Tutor storyline, but that was it. I didn't enjoy Saifah/Zon or all the secondary story/sister story/university day to day stuff. It was too typical and boring for me.
I really hope that companies putting out BL content start focusing on quality over quantity sooner rather than later. We need more things with substance like Not Me, that are not toxic like Bad Buddy and preferably some that are adult driven like KinnPorsche.

I'm so happy to see I am not alone in thinking that Perth's coupling with Saint was his least convincing work. I really just didn't like them together. I'm actually a HUGE fan of Saint, but I always felt like he and Perth had very different kinds of energies and were just playing from two different angles and they didn't quite meet in the middle. I much preferred Saint with Zee in Why R U, it felt like there were coming from the same place and had the same energy. Tell the World I Love You is still on my list to watch, but I look forward to seeing how Perth is in it, because I'd really like to see him shine.
Lol I understood it to be from what Nuea was wearing. if you remember, they didn't really have a date cuz of the…
Thank you!! I was going to post the exact translation & notation to the above commenter and the translation is totally different from when I watched it earlier in the day. LOL The new translation & notation makes perfect sense now. πππ
Toh has an obsession with collecting things, he once said to Nuea in the drama that he is afraid the beautiful…
Thank you, I understood this part, just not why the English translation made a special notation about mentioning "the button story" when Daisy said she was going to get Jao on OnlyFans...
Oh funny, I just went back to get the exact quote that confused me and the translation is different now!! πππ²
Okay, either I'm just totally behind on the times or I missed an earlier reference, I'm tired or something ... but ...
What was the big deal when Toh said he collected a button from his date? I didn't quite make sense of the additional information provided by the translating.
Oh dear. Not sure I'd thought to compare this to a minstrel show but to each their own. Good luck on your next…
Have you tried: Dangerous Drugs of Sex Bittersweet Chocolate Playboy and the Gang of Cherry (those two are a part 1 and part 2 -- not great stories, but Gun Atthaphan is in them) The Blue Hour
I don't know if you use GagaOOLala, but that subscription is one of the best things I've ever done.
KinnPorsche seems promising, but only 2 episodes are out. I agree with looking forward to Bed Friend, Unforgotten Night, Check Out and a few others...
I feel like this series is more for gay people and less for straight women. It has more of a gay vibe and less…
In this conversation I don't think my sexuality is relevant because I'm a woman. If I'm straight then I am attracted to men and, in theory, if I also enjoy BL I should enjoy all BL content regardless of whether or not it "feels more gay" because either way, IT IS. If I am lesbian, then I'm attracted to women and probably only into BL for the equal opportunity and the stories. If I'm bisexual then both of the apply to some degree. So yeah, not being a guy watching gay men -- I don't think my sexuality is relevant in the least.
That being said -- thank the ever-loving saints that this feels more real and "more gay" than the average BL!! It's about damn time the LGBTQ+ community had good representation without all the "I'm straight, except for you" crap they kept giving us.
Either you enjoy the stories, love the characters and are happy to see them experiencing life as a gay couple or you're fetishizing gay men and just get your ya-ya's from fantasizing about the *idea* of men being together but aren't fully accepting of the reality.
So, there's my rather harsh two cents. π€·ββοΈ
That's a lot of main role characters. How many couples does this series have?
7 couples - and one person in each couple has their name based on a day of the week. (some of the names you'd need to speak Thai to understand why that name is related to a day)
There are only 2 episodes for each couple and then at the end one final episode where they all come together, because they're all either friends or at least acquaintances in university.
People here seemed to hate it, and I went into it with extremely low expectations, but honestly, it grew on me and now I've watched it a few times, because I just like the characters so much. Especially since now I'm seeing some of them in other shows and I love seeing their evolution and growth.
There is also Secret Crush on You currently airing on YouTube with English subs.Edit: there is also Star in My…
IdolFactory was started by Saint Suppapong, and he's also CEO,. YouTube is technically the official channel for them, so unless they were going to gate content with just a channel membership, which I don't think they're doing, I just can't see Saint giving us edited content. πππ
EDIT: You got me curious so I went hunting for the answer, and this is what I found: ππ

If the version we see on YouTube is edited then I think my eyes would pop out at the unedited version!! Things are pretty spicy and they don't hold much back. ππ
On top of that, SH was pushing the whole YT membership being for int'l fans thing quite a bit recently. So, like...how…
Ahhh, I didn't realize they meant the channel specific kind. I have joined a couple channels in the past, and I would join SH if this were the case - but if it's not happening then why bother.
On top of that, SH was pushing the whole YT membership being for int'l fans thing quite a bit recently. So, like...how…
Seriously??? I actually *have* a YouTube Premium subscription - so I'd be thrilled if that got me English subs, but sadly that's not the case!! (I had a show a few months ago that was only for Premium members, and I got addicted to the no ads so I kept it)
So, are they pulling what GMMTV did with Cupid's Last Wish and they're going to air the whole thing in Thailand before they ever publish the English subtitles version?? I really hope not - especially when the episodes in their entirety are on an international platform like YouTube - just with no subs available.
I was so incredibly excited for this show after seeing the trailer, but now I've seen through episode 6 and every week I am more and more disappointed.
I absolutely love Zee, but I see no chemistry between him and New. I just see badly written tropes with poor excuses for "romantic content" They look like they are siblings who care about each other and want each other to have a good life, but I don't see any romantic love, adoration or a "spark" to build on. They just feel toxic and unromantic.
Max & Nat are towing the toxic line, but there seems to be a higher likelihood of redemption in their story than with Zee/New. Max & Nat at least feel like they have a spectrum of emotions including guilt, desire, love, respect, sadness and happiness all rolled into a big conflicted ball that they're going to untangle. Whereas in the Zee/New storyline I don't feel like I see them both recognizing their own faults and failures or feeling guilty for their lies, deceptions or selfishness.
What I do see is a group of writers pandering to a female audience showing off the very good looks of these guys and hoping that no one will see their lazy writing, toxic behavior and stereotypes and will only focus on the scenery and the few comedic scenes. Playing it all off as a lighthearted series and not acknowledging the negatives they're also giving us. It would be one thing if the story and/or delivery actually acknowledged the bad things the characters do as being bad things and that they're working on fixing the bad things, but that's not how it's presented. This show comes across that these guys do bad things and they think those things are fine/alright but their partner doesn't like them, therefore they're going to change and do something different just so they get a more desirable reaction from their partner.
Anyway, this got a lot longer than I'd planned, but there's my two cents so far. I'll still support the actors, but as of currently I'm not a fan of this show. However, I will finish watching and wait until the very end to form a final opinion.
I enjoyed most of this show. I really didn't like the mother getting involved sloth her children's love lives, I don't find that appropriate. Because of that, I really didn't like some of episodes 8 & 9 at all -- they almost turned me off to the series, honestly. However, that aside, I had a good time watching. Earth & Mix had great chemistry and White was so much fun to watch!! He's such a great supporting actor.
Just don't go into this one expecting anything deep. Enjoy the comedy, have fun with the situations and just roll with it.
