You should!!! So Joon and Ma Rin's relationship just looks better and better the more I watch it. Their little intimate conversations are just precious! I was just watching that beach scene yesterday where they were talking about how silly it would be to date each other when they were already married, and it just felt so real! The dialogues themseleves were not exactly wonderful, but they carried that scene and portrayed their closeness so well that it makes me envy their relationship lol. Makes me wonder if such relationship exists.

You have no idea how much hate this drama was getting when it was airing. But I am always the odd one and so, I ended up liking it so much that I'm still rewatching it to this day for the 5th or 6th time haha. And I'm not one to rewatch. Really, this is the only drama that I rewatched that many times.

Thank you. I'm glad my journalism degree did not go to waste haha. I like that you compared Ji Chang Wook, especially after watching the messy, yet entertaining Lovestruck. I've never really criticized his acting skills before since I just feel indifferent towards him, even though I like this one drama of his (Suspicious Partner). But I guess it's because of the decent or good script, and now I know why since you explained him well -- he doesn't bring his characters into life. He doesn't offend you because he doesn't overact, but he's just simply, average. He's almost like a background that you do not notice. So yeah, now that I think about it, he has no memorable roles.

I discovered Park Bo Gum in Hello Monster, and he caught my attention because he has such an innocent face, yet he was so convincing as a cruel psycho.

Therefore, you feel conflicted if you should despise or understand him, and that's how you create realistic villains that you can sympathize with. It's definitely the microexpressions, especially those puppy eyes that can turn cold and scary in a split second.

He showed that similar character here, so he had me convinced that he showcases his full potential in complex characters and not those nice or lover boy characters, for example, Record of Youth and Encounter. I feel like he's almost wasted in shows like those, so hopefully, he branches out more and do a variety of characters like he did here. I'm not saying that he should only do villain or psycho characters though. I actually love Taek (Reply 1988) because he is so ordinary, yet relatable with his introverted, pure, fragile, yet strong character. I'm just simply saying that he should do a more complex rather than your average cute boy next-door character.

Overall, it's not exactly a wonderful movie, but it showcases two powerhouses: Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum. Gong Yoo always meets expectations and more, so I didn't really articulate his acting skills here. I just wanted to share my realization or opinion regarding Park Bo Gum's performance.

He's going to get a lead role after Vincenzo. I'm tellin' ya! I just couldn't get enough of his character there. This kid is really gonna make it big someday! If and IF, there are no scandals of course, unlike what's happenning now. (Sigh.)

You know what's better than romance? This grandpa-grandson relationship/friendship!!!

I swear, I'm never the type of person to say, "Aaaaw," but I feel like doing a drinking game now every time I say that when watching this drama (with me kicking the air too lol), especially after watching episode 8 haha.

Seriously, I'd rather pursue this type of relationship than short-lived romance haha. I just really love this drama. Reminds me of those Japanese slice-of-life dramas, especially with the nuance and simplicity. They even chose a fitting instrumental music for the ost rather than the usual distracting ballad/pop songs showcasing the singer's high notes (You aaaaaare my destiiiiinnnyyyy) which is very similar to Jdoramas' style.

May I suggest Jdoramas if you haven't been watching them yet? I've watched several Asian dramas (ehem about 500, maybe even more) but nothing can beat my Jdoramas haha.

Let's put it this way, I probably watch about 8 Kdramas in one season and 2 Jdoramas, but most of the Kdramas are like fillers to kill time while the Jdoramas, although fewer than the Kdramas (blame the lack of subs and video stream, inspire me and touch my cold cold heart haha.

High five back! You should definitely watch Watashi ni Unmei because I just watched it yesterday after the recommendation haha! The plot is nothing special but it made me fall in love with him again! Another stellar performance from him and Tabe since they made the plot seem so real and the characters sympathetic even though it was just plain shoujo or kinda shallow.

Not a fan of Cumberbatch, ey? Haha that's okay since Issei is more conventionally good-looking than Cumberbatch who has alien-like or super unique features. I don't know Mikkelsen, but I compare Asian actors to both Asian and non-Asian actors all the time and vice versa since I watch a wide range of shows from probably 6 countries or so all at the same time. That's probably why my language skills are messed up now when I hear and speak too many various languages everyday lol.

Late in the game here, but may I just suggest Quartet? That's when I became his fan, and it's one of my favorite dramas! It such a special drama to me that I even made a recap for the first episode when I don't really write recaps lol.

And btw, I was thinking the same thing while I was watching the whole drama because he's so like Benedict Cumberbatch -- odd looks but infectious charisma. For some reason, those crinkles or wrinkles of his are like the equivalent of dimples and face muscles to me lol. Dude is using love potions for sure to make us go gaga for him haha.

After watching bits of episode 1 and skipped to the last few minutes of the last episode, I understood the whole point and lesson of this story:

If you turn on your alarm, then your phone will ring. But if you turn it off, then your phone won't ring. Genius!!!

Nothing has been similar to Heartless City after it aired. Nothing. And I am so disappointed because I can't name any good Korean or Japanese action drama lately. Although I am happy that somebody remembers that awesome drama. If you have seen anything like it, please recommend it/them to me (=

It is in line with her character though. She's a very objective person through and through. You would think that she'd be the one who would be the most bias in the room given that she was the only woman in her department and the case was about a serial rape case against wome. But it was only her alone who was focused on the job or case, and kept her emotions in check when all her male co-workers were giving up on the case. That doesn't mean she's not human though. I love the part that they showed us at the end that she was releasing all her pent up anger or emotions. She was a complete professional until the end and only allowed herself to react when it was all over. To me, that was a perfectly executed scene -- how everything just played out: from being calm and collected during the entire investigation to just letting herself go at the end of it. It was very satisfying as it mirrored how some of us felt: frustrated but powerless.

I do believe that humans or civilians can't play gods and decide what to do on anybody's life, that's why we have laws and ethics. I mean these laws and ethics are not perfect, thus, the conflict about the kid brother's case. But hey, they exist as some sort of guide, so we can lessen barbarians in our society. Or at least, try to control them.

Of course! As a fan, who even kept his photo in the wallet back in elementary, I would know a lot of updates about him 'til I become old and gray lol.

Haha I like the sound of that but we're so gonna get hot water splashed on us if this is real life.

Aaaah Hiro Mizushima. One of my first crushes and he retired early. Well, I'm happy though that he seems content being a dad and husband. He looks like a great family guy.
