By the way, let's put an end to this super perfect and nice second lead shitaaay. Those flashbacks didn't help at all. I was super neutral about this triangle issue until that happened!
How many people here would choose the person who he/she spent months with in the past versus the person who he/she spent years with, both past and present (from teen to adult), and who had been there in the most important moments of his/her life!??!
P.S. I'm actually the type of person who leans towards logic rather than emotion. That's why, maybe I just need to tell myself to completely shut down my brain when watching dramas like this haha.
I just realized something. Dramas are getting longer. I mean c'mon! 1 hr. and 20 mins. per episode!? That's already a movie. Where are those days where episodes usually run for 40-60mins?
No wonder I thought my attention span has become shorter lately. I used to watch dramas with no interruptions and breaks, but now, I'm watching the finale while typing this lol!!!
If this is a slice-of-life and coming-of-age drama, the break-up would have made sense. I imagine it would be…
I just want to add that Ju Kyung's bro is an exception. That kid is comedy gold!!! Lol. Everytime he shows up, it's a guarantee it's gonna be funny haha.
If this is a slice-of-life and coming-of-age drama, the break-up would have made sense. I imagine it would be about the realness and bitterness of life along with the pains and inevitable goodbyes that come with the transition to adulthood.
When you graduate from high school, it is normal to separate from friends and/or lovers because of life changes (career, death, sickness, etc.). You grow up because of those experiences. So people who meet their friends (or lovers) after going through struggles and challenges will find the encounter more meaningful, especially if they still cherish their past memories and relationship. That should've happened here only if this was not like a "shoujo manga". Guess my expectations became higher after seeing the lead cast's performance (including Ju Kyung's family but not mom) as they seemed like real people (well, Cha Eun Woo still needs to improve) stuck in a fake or comic world lol.
Long story short, I hope to see the cast in a slice-of-life drama next time like Reply series or Hospital Playlist.
Wait WHAT?!!!! Did you just say a Hana Kimi reunion? I thought of starting this after 4-5 episodes are subbed…
I'll get back to you once I accelerated my Japanese language skills to advanced from noob lol. I swear, the first thing I'm gonna do is to sub a Jdorama when that happens!
I DID!!! I said Nakatsu is writing a drama for Sekime xDI'm loving the Johnny's interactions too xD Next episode…
Haha and Nakatsu would totally right a silly drama for him as expected. The only odd part is that Sekime became a narcissist when he used to be so uncaring and simple lol.

Yes! And yay a fellow fan! I got super excited when Nakatsu and Sekime showed up in the drama! The wait is torture though! Us Jdorama fans have to wait forever for the subs. Sigh. Guess I have to continue learning Japanese then.
Ep. 13 and I've concluded that I'm hate watching at this point.
I just enjoy the funny moments like the drunk scenes. It's short, so I can tolerate the bad stuff. Plus, there are not that many shows airing anyway lol.
This drama created the iconic jajangmyun scene haha. I mean dude, I didn't know jajangmyun or any food can symbolize or kean so many thigns before watching this drama.
Did nobody realize the Hana Kami reunion!?!? No fans here? C' mon Nakatsu (Toma) annd Sekime (Masaki) back on the same screen again!!!
Who knew that after more than 10 years they'll get reunited again, and one of them is even playing as a husband and father (really, Toma, a junior high dad!?!?). It was as if it was yesterday that they were playing high school characters lol!!! I'm getting old. They're getting old. Now, I feel that a lot of years has gone by haha.
Btw, I'm so glad and proud that a lot of our Hana Kimi cast, lead or supporting, have become this successful. They're the leading actors of their generation.
I said the same thing on the Run On page haha. I even mentioned that some people think that's selfish thinking,…
Agree. It's like the Jerry McGuire famous line, "You complete me" which I think the route this drama is going to. That thinking should've been the opposite: Work on completing yourself instead of waiting for the "right person" to that for you.
I'm probably the minority here, but I feel like they shouldn't have shown Eun Oh's background story. Instead of feeling sympathy, I felt annoyance. I mean come on now. Who here hasn't experience hardships like she did? I bet some of us here experience worse things.
But how many of us here hurt an innocent person to the point of breaking them just because of bad experiences!?!? Sorry, there's no understandable excuse for that. All I could think of is she's a sadist and masochist at the same time.
its like what FL in Run on said- love yourself coz you're going to stay with yourself longest. try to fix yourself…
I said the same thing on the Run On page haha. I even mentioned that some people think that's selfish thinking, but I think that's healthy thinking.
My mom even asked me once why am I only thinking of myself when my dad and her relationship is on the rocks (for almost forever and still going strong). I told her do you want me to think of other people first then? I mean what can you do when other people don't want to fix themselves first and expect others to do it for them? That's not how life works. Sorry, I blabbered too much. Must be the COVID distance thing haha.
I love Mi Joo and Seon Gyum's "pillow talk". It's true that you will only live with one person forever: yourself. Therefore, you should love yourself before you love others. I don't think it's selfish thinking. People come and go, and even if you get married, who knows who will end up dying first. Whether it's you or your partner, you will end up dying alone. What I mean is the journey to life and death will mostly involve one person: yourself.
Watching Mi Joo run the marathon was so inspiring. Seon Gyum didn't just introduce Mi Joo to running, but he also…
That's what this drama is actually selling: love yourself first before others which also means you can stand up on your own if you believe in yourself.

Seriously, I'm curious. Tell me! Somebody, tell me!!!
