I thought I was just watching an analysis of ep 5's preview, didn't know the video contain a spoiler 😢😢😢😢
I thought I'm an expert at avoiding spoiler. I can survive at x which basically is like an open book. didn't expect that yt would be my poison 😭
atp I might as well just read the novel.
when it comes to spoiler, people here are more civil and careful compared to other platforms fr. you can just kind kindly remind once or twice and they'd understand.
but over there some of them don't even know the concept of spoiler, you can't even be mad at them 😭
it's okay if it was just a subtle spoiler. sometimes I ask for a spoiler myself but getting spoiled without consent sucks 😭 and it was a major spoiler, I already had a deep thought about the theory related to it that I wasn't able to post 😭
just becareful if you're avoiding it, the spoiler can get to you from unexpected source.
I believe baek saeon is his biological son but not his wife's son. even though it's a toxic relationship, his dad showed emotion when he interacted with bse. but the mother looked distant.
the way his dad shake his feet and nervous and kept on drinking his wine that his wife told him to relax.
she'd only say one or two words. but that wasn't because she understood him. it seemed she didn't even care about him, as long as he didn't make a mistake. it was like she wasn't interested to deal with her son. and put the task on dealing with bse on her husband.
plus bse called his paternal grandpa as haraboji not former chairman or any formal name to address him.
bse could stand up for himself, he didn't look like someone who had no right for doing that. but with the mother it was different. he didn't seem like he had an emotion with her too. they both looked distant.
wait someone pointed out why the captor called her eonni. I wonder if there's a hidden meaning too. but in way, from the situation, eonni sounds way creepier than nuna lol
and I was like "it'd be hilarious if his dad called her eonnie too when he woke up." and BOOM!!! the writer doesn't disappoint me 😂
I rewatch the latest episode once again. and I think I finally found the clues of when he saw "it" (regarding to the setting time of the epilogue at the end of the episode).

1. the day of the her father's incident june - 06 - 2024 (source: cctv footage minute 1:07). he was in a black tie.
2. the interview happened on the next day. he was in a black tie with small white stripe. the day when he was late and the day of the interview was the same day by the pattern of his tie. and when heeju visited her dad after her interview, there were traces that bse visited him before.
26:35 the scene when he walked out of a building right before work. and it didn't look like a police station, but the new nursing home.
when hee ju texted him, the date was 07-06-2024 (46:36)
at the end of the day, bse told hhj he wanna attend her family daily news' anniversary tomorrow (52:52)
3. the 70th anniversary celebrated on 08-06-2024. he was in a black tie with a larger white stripe.
--- when did he visit the police station and saw the footage?
at the beginning of the episode he told the police "I will visit as soon as I can to file the report".
he got no time to go there before the interview, as he visited his father in law at the nursing home.
if it's not on 09-06-2024, the day after the anniversary, then it's the same day as celebration but in the morning or afternoon.
even if he was seen in a black tie and a wider white stripe on the day he visited the police, he needed to change his clothes to attend the hall.
and apparently he was a little late to the party, according to his dad and heeju's dad conversation. he wasn't there yet when they cut the cake.
he arrived later, at the elevator scene (minute 56:44), he had a serious look on his face. like he lost in a deep thought. and then he looked to right and left, as if looking for someone, probably heeju. maybe that was the time after he uncovered that she was able to speak.
he looked more mysterious that night for some reason. and it seemed there was a gap of emotion to the day before, as if something big happened to him during the day.
when he talked to her on the phone, he said "there was a time when I hated to eat and speak with my mouth". this line made more sense if after he saw the footage, he concluded that the reason she decided to be silent was because she hated the situation.
yoo yeonseok as go dongmae in Mr. Sunshine is like this but 100000 times more brutal and darker. the drama is…
go dongmae's character is gray, just a little darker, the sort of character that can easily be misunderstood just like baek saeon. sometimes we question about the moral but somehow he's the sort of character we can sympathize with.
you'll have no worry about the acting, writing and directing. and the cinematography, even the first scene kinda whispers "expensive".
don't know if this will answer your question, but I'll add more context to their situation that I believe crafted…
I feel like it has something to do with his feeling that he himself didn't notice it before. he thought he knew her and set everything under control. but they didn't talk about each other's feeling, which escalated the misunderstanding between them.
they both grew up in a tough family and it takes time to build a good communication and learn about each other. meanwhile his behavior could easily be misunderstood and he didn't try to explain it either sometimes.
it was ironic that they could be honest and talked about their vulnerabilities while being anonymous and for him to think it was a call from a weirdo lol. but it will change everything between them.
the analogy fits perfectly to her character with her being a selective mute, as if "I can hear you but you can't hear me". it's a communication problem.
Still on ep 3 and i have a genuine question: why is he treating her as if he hates her? Does he have a kind of…

from what we get so far, apparently he has a plan (probably to have a freedom from that family). and his plan wasn't supposed to involve hong heeju in the first place. but then he managed to get heeju involved. he's indeed has a soft spot for her since they were young.
but in this case, heeju isn't supposed to be seen by the public as his wife. because people believed that he married her step sister instead of her.
and when hong ina returns, the both sides of the family expect to turn everything from the original place, a.k.a hong ina becomes bae saeon's wife.
he's very calculated with his plan, although hong heeju came to the picture, but he managed to get everything in control, until the kidnapping day.
we don't know his exact plan yet. and when he started to suspect his wife which was normal in that situation, that shoke him up. because it could ruin everything that've been built.
and all those harsh words were directed to the kidnapper, she wasn't supposed to hear it. he didn't mean it as he believed it was a scam. he was just being a negotiator and refused to get under the kidnapper's control. so he had to act like he wasn't desperate. it was a bargaining tactic.

there are some breathtaking moments but I get that some people won't like it and call him toxic or etc because the way he's talking to her. he's a mega tsundere, even if his intentions are good he won't say it gently. and it's because of the harsh situation they have to face too.
but some toxicity sometimes adding spices and intensity, if you like that kind of trope you'd fall for him definitely.

if it's an ott original series they can explore all those areas and breaking the taboos.
I suppose the censorship is different.

you'll love it.

she's such a mood 😂
