Haeinās very first rom-com, YES! Itās about time for us to experience more of his diverse acting skills. Plus Somin is such a lovely actress. The only thing Iām concerned about is the scripts. Hopefully the story is worthy of these two very excellent actors.
The trailer was better than I expected! And the synopsis already sounds very cute, lol. Jdrama productions are getting better and better recently, which is so exciting. Canāt wait to watch this.
This drama is so atmospheric and visually stunning⦠the first episode offered nothing new story-wise, but it…
like Taiyo and Ameās clothes being orange and green respectively to reflect their personalities and names, Taiyoās red umbrella representing his heart given to Ame. The idea of finding oneās worth has been done to death in Jdrama, so Iām curious to see how they are going to continue this story now that Ame will have to come to terms with losing her 5 senses one by one. Like someone already said before, thatās such a cruel deal Ame has agreed to. But it might befit the theme of this drama: sacrifice. Speaking of losing senses, I wonder if Ameās last sense to go would be sight. She probably will see Taiyoās fireworks before going blind. Another positive point for this drama is the score. Very lovely scores⦠Actings are on point. I have always loved Meiās acting and this time she didnāt disappoint. Chemistry is okay so far. Ame and Taiyo are cute together. Weāll see how much more the relationship will develop.
This drama is so atmospheric and visually stunning⦠the first episode offered nothing new story-wise, but it excelled in submerging the viewers into this intimate world that only Ame and Taiyo share. As expected of Japanese productions, there are little metaphors used here and there to enhance the story that I found to be rather cute:
Iām loving this gem of a drama so much! Every episode fills me with warmth. The two leads are absolutely adorable together, despite the age gap. Sakuma Ryuto looks exactly like his manga counterpart.
This rom-com is such a breath of fresh air. CCY is one of the best characters written in Kdramaland. Man is consistently grumpy yet adorable. His values are solid; he says and walks with integrity. His backstory makes sense, and his vulnerability is believable. He seems like a normal, wounded everyday person who is trying his best. My favorite moments of him were in episode 4 when he fell into despair when he failed to fix the injustice that happened to Haeyi. CCIR successfully builds realistic characters with a romance that doesn't seem so forced. I'm ALL here for it :D.
My mom has never been a fan of Jdrama, but I got her hooked on this show (and previously on First Love Hatsukoi since it has Vietnamese subs), and she keeps asking about new episodes almost every day. It actually made me very happy. It's hard to find someone else to discuss Jdrama with in real life. All my friends are into Kdrama. Hopefully, with more budget, Japan can produce more quality products and reach a wider audience.
Man, this drama's pacing/tension buildup is chef's kiss. The deliberate stillness and moments of silence drag out slowly, then the sudden crash of craziness. Episode 4's creep factor shot up for me; the townspeople are even creepier than the Goto family. This is such a good show!
since I read the good review you guys wrote here I gave it a try. just finished ep 2 it's interesting, creepy…
Episode 3 solidified my interest in this drama. I'd say, try the 3rd ep because it was where I started to become really invested. We get a glimpse into Daigo's past and his psyche.
"To think we're on the winning side, we've lost more than we should have." - Kishimoto Kishimoto's growth and transformation were the highlights of episode 5. I'm totally rooting for this guy.
I can't wait! I love Suzuki in Takara and Amagi :D, and he looks so good in the teaser.
