I tried to start this last night, but only got a few minutes in. The production (cinematography) seems really cheap to me. For anyone that has watched the first 2 episodes....can you tell me if the quality of the show seems good or no? I like KRW and don't mind SSK, so I'm more interested in whether the story and the quality seem worth it.

"Prison Playbook" is the official english name given by the production company not Netflix. "Wise Prison Life"…
Ok, but is Netflix calling it something completely different? They do that with other shows - they don't call them by their "official" names. (For example they call "Age of Youth" "Hello My Twenties". And "My Wife Is Having An Affair became "Listen to Love")

Anyway - just found it. Netflix is calling it "The Prison".

I'm seeing that this is available on Netflix, but it is available on NF in the US? And if so, what the heck weird name are they calling it? I don't know why Netflix insists on changing the name of shows to something unrecognizable. This was originally listed as "Wise Prison Life" and now it's "Prison Playbook".

This.... is the best review you have ever written.I will say this, though: like the Helicopter Rooftop Scene from…
LOL - ok. The train kiss was good. But surely we could rewatch that on YouTube or something and skip the rest right? :)

Title Temperature of Love Spoiler
I disagree with Jung Seon using him. They had a friendly relationship and were looking to both profit from business…
I'll give you that one about Jung Seon. Thinking back on it, he didn't really use him. So I retract that.
But to watch Hyun Soo, Hong Ah, AND Joon Ha all run to him and expect him to cater to their every whim....I'm glad he's done with that.
At least with Hong Ah, even if it was wrong to use him - he knew what her intentions were because she was up front about it. You can't say she deceived him into thinking there was any more to their relationship than her using his power to get her where she wanted to be.

I at least feel a little validation since Hong Ah finally came out said exactly what I've been saying all along: Hyun Soo never turned down any of the things that Jung Woo did or offered to do for her.
She accepted ALL of his kindnesses knowing he liked her. Which is the thing about Hyun Soo that I dislike the most. She used him all this time to her advantage.
Actually, I kind of feel like they all used him and his caring for them to get themselves ahead.
Hyun Soo, Jung Seon, Hong Ah, and Joon Ha.

Hahaha. Thankyou, Thankyou and Thankyou. Honestly, I haven't found the kind of show you're looking for yet. I've…
I've heard good things about that one too, but I'm still hesitant.

Quoting you:
"First of all, nobody can deny the fact that Wallace Huo is the epitome of beauty. He's gorgeous; plain and simple. I can watch a thousand of brainless plot-less episodes, if it meant I could stare at his face for hours. And stare at his face I did. I ogled him so much that I was afraid my eyes would pop out and I would drown in my own drool. Because, not only does he have a very pretty face, he's also an excellent actor. His dialogue delivery is entrancing, his expressions are spot-on, his walk is elegance incarnated and everything he does, he does with utter grace. If Wallace was to spout complete gibberish, the onlookers would still be starstruck because he'd relay that gibberish in such a way that it would seem nothing short of Shakespearean. This is a one man show. He's the king here and he commands it with his charisma, allure and masterful acting skills"

Amen! Amen! Amen! Preach it! Seriously, I keep telling you how you nail it as a writer - this is exactly why I finished this show. LOL! And why I was so mad at the end of it. I wanted MORE of Wallace Huo exactly as you described here. And none of these other dramas look like they are going to give me that. If there is another show he is in where he will mesmerize me like he did in this, please tell me now! I'd be willing to give it a shot (even if it's one of those historicals that I am so loathe to watch because I'm afraid I will be bored out of my mind.)

Be still my heart!
If they hold this level of writing and acting up for the rest of the show, I think this is going to get a perfect score from me. It's going to shoot right to the top of my favorites list and will be immediately rewatched.

I'm shocked that tonight's episodes finally left me anxious to see what is coming next.
I know that it's wishful thinking to believe that maybe Jung Woo may have even a sliver of a chance now that she's finally (took her long enough!) to notice the kind of care and attention he gives her. I know I'm being overly optimistic about it....Jung Woo just looks so darn lonely though, that I can't help but wish she would open her eyes and SEE him and how he's been there for her while she's over there feeling lonely even in her love for Jung Seon.

I adore this show. And my heart is squeeing so much over the ending of episode 11! I think I teared up as soon as he called out her name.
But that smile that broke out on Se Hee's face when Ji Ho showed up made my heart flutter! He was so happy to see her.

Part of the issue is we are dealing with a drama with a limited amount of episodes to cover a limited time period…
I like this analysis. I think the mother/father figure thing is spot on, and I didn't see it until you pointed it out. And I think that's why I'm not feeling connected to their romance as much as in the beginning episodes.
The writer also only just gives little flashes into how much JW was there for HS when JS was in Paris. So not only do we not get the background of HS and JS's interactions before their face-to-face meeting, we also don't get to see the relationship between HS and JW for those 5 years. We know from the brief glimpses that they had to have been closer than they seem to be now.

I didn't realize it was based on a book. Can you let me know how the book ends? PM is fine if you don't want to…
I did get to read a couple of the posts by GoodSoup. In case I missed something, I clicked on the name and it took me to all their posts. :)

Wow - so the book was very different then. Just for the record, I'd be totally ok if HS and JS did not end up together. I don't think they suit each other, honestly.

I'm basically skipping through this drama just to know how this plays out. The book it's based on is pretty sad,…
