Ah, Ho Rang is the worst. Such an annoying character. i don't even feel guilty about wishing Won Seok will leave…
Ho Rang is probably the only thing that is annoying in this whole show, and I think I agree with you that I wouldn't feel guilty if Won Seok ended up going to Bo Mi. What a twist it would be if HR ended up letting him go. I feel like he's given up his dream to make hers come true. I know he got a reality check because he's invested so much time into something that isn't going anywhere, but she's done the same thing. She's invested so much time and energy into her dream also, and the two of them just weren't matching up. One of them will be miserable if they continue together.
You Go girl, "Ji Ho", I was afraid she would be fell a lot hurt and she would show it, but to my surprise , she…
That's one of the things I really like about Ji Ho. Instead of the typical drama girl that would be hurt and cry and wallow in her self-pity. She takes the bull by the horns and DOES something about her hurt. She is proactive. When the guy sexually assaulted her - she was hurt, but she stood up to him and didn't just sit back and take it. When Se Hee hurt her feelings and told her he was uncomfortable with her behavior, she didn't just withdraw and be hurt. She spoke up, apologized for making him feel that way, explained her feelings and then DID something. She withdrew, but not with her tail tucked between her legs. In the phone conversation from their respective beds - She didn't just accept the money and let it discourage her. She counters his offer of money. I REALLY like Ji Ho. She is smart, too, and capable. I just love everything about this show.
Part of the issue is we are dealing with a drama with a limited amount of episodes to cover a limited time period…
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by this: "She views the CEO as the better choice for her daughter. Which is laughable considering HS's mother's own life choices. All very hypocritical."
Why is it hypocritical? What "life choices"? Do you think that she thinks the CEO is better because he's wealthy and she chose a teacher? Is there something in particular that makes you think she believes the CEO is better due to his financial status? Maybe she's seen how he's taken care of HS for the past 5 years. Maybe it's because JS is younger and hasn't established himself securely. There's nothing wrong in wanting a secure future for your child. Even if JW wasn't weathy, he's established.
(Just asking as honest discussion - not in an antagonizing way at all. So I hope you read it the way I intend.)
And I appreciate hearing Jessica's views because she is seeing a LOT more in this drama than I am. I still don't see a real love between HS and JS - I see them *trying*, but it doesn't feel genuine to me. Like they are trying too hard, wanting it to be real, but there is something missing between them. And I hate how HS is always only telling JW "I'm sorry" and "Thank you", just like he hates it. But I do enjoy reading your thoughts because it helps me see if from a different POV.
That moment you find out that the writer of this drama is the same one that wrote Doctors and you realize why nothing seems to be happening in the show.....
If that's only your con to continue watching the show and if you like everything else I just suggest just fast…
Unfortunately, I don't really think I *do* like everything else. I like the actors, though. And I think because of that I felt like I *ought* to watch it, but it's just not bringing me the joy it should. I think the abusive dad just really hit it home that I'm not enjoying this as much as I thought I would.
I really really have wanted to like this one, but I just don't know if I can continue to watch this. Hyuk's dad is still, as of episode 7, continuing to be abusive to a disturbing degree. I can kind of roll with a slap or something - I know the culture is different. But he is literally beating the crap out of Hyuk. Jae Hoon has caught some of it too, but not as much. I think I'm done. :(
that creepy moment when u see the wedding part again when they were going in the bus.. and suddenly bok nam was…
Wasn't her hair pulled to the side at the wedding also? He mentioned that when he tied her hair back for her and she got confused bc she didn't think he'd seen her like that before.
**I went back to look at the scene, and I'm not seeing him on the bus?
I love Nara's character, but that husband I just can't warm up properly to him. However, that second lead male,…
Right now I see him as selfish also. I'm borderline on having some SLS myself. I *want* to root for CBD, but he's making it really hard right now. Although the scene with his mother in law almost broke me. Maybe we will start seeing some growth from him in the next episode or so. I need CBD to remember why he fell in love with MJJ in the first place and start trying to win her back. (And yes! Jang Na Ra's tears ALWAYS bring on my tears as well!)
I watched it again because I wanted to see what happened from the time he was fine with her in the morning at…
I like your observations. I feel like it has something to do with his parent's relationship that has made him this way. I don't feel like he, personally, has had a bad relationship, but that he is avoiding them because of the example(s?) he has seen.
I was biased too - I love Eric and Sung Joon can be hit or miss for me. In this he was a "miss". I don't condone cheating either, but I really was glad she ended up with Eric's character. And YES! Yeo Reum needed to make up her mind! I hated that she dragged it out so long.
This show was my "gateway" to Korean drama. I've watched it straight through at least 3 times and have rewatched my favorite scenes even more than that. It holds up to repeated viewings! :)

I'm so so happy with this show - I look forward to it all week.
