Ok, I signed up for a MDL account just to commend you on this excellent stalker's guide. I, too, find myself drawn…
Wow! Thank you for taking the time to comment and read! I'm very flattered. :) Honestly, what attracted me to him, beyond his talents in acting, was the fact that he's a straight shooter. He seems to be someone who entered the entertainment industry for all the right reasons... and that can be somewhat rare nowadays. It's natural that this kind of person would attract fans of all ages. :) And holy heck, I saw Swing Kids in theaters a while back and it blew me away (especially that emotional second half.) To answer your question though: No, I believe there isn't a thing he can't do once he's set his mind to it! Thanks again for reading, I hope to see you floating around the MDL community going forward. ^ ^
Stumbled across this post as my interest for D. O. grew bigger for the last couple of weeks. I saw him first in…
Thanks for stumbling upon, and reading, my article! I'm always happy to find new Do Kyung Soo fans. It's even more exciting to find people who found him first through his acting as I did. He's currently away on military enlistment, but he will return sometime in 2021. While he's away though you can enjoy his many works! :) Thanks again for reading!
I feel really mixed about this movie... it had some really poignant and beautiful moments but, ultimately, when it finally ended it left me feeling empty... which is never a good sign. I wish there could have been some underlying message or lesson learned. Or at least some resolution. I just felt bad for all the characters involved because no one won and no one was really happy when all was said and done. Great acting across the board though. Wish this could have been something a little more.
Here to leave some love for a show I consider to be one of the most beautiful and realistic depictions of youth. It truly honored the special bonds formed between family and close friends and did so in such a loving and patient way. I watched this back in 2015, but I think I'll re-watch it again someday... no doubt. I don't typically do that, but this deserves all the exceptions.
Ryun Jun Yeol confirmed back in January of this year that they still were... but there's been no update since then! I think they are a very private couple, so it's hard to get updates!
Anyone else feel like the first half of this drama was an entirely different show? I mean, I'm enjoying these most recent episodes but I also miss laughing!
why does a king not want a child that will be king??? isnt that the whole ruling system? to give birth to a boy…
This latest episode (13) really explains the reason more clearly. A shaman basically told the King that if his son grew up he would overthrow him and take the throne for himself. The King is ruthless... and that was enough of a reason for the King to kill his child. I guess he's worked his whole life for the throne so he didn't want to risk his son overthrowing him. He's basically crazy. That's why everyone wants him off the throne.

I believe he was told he'd never become King if his son was born on a certain day. At the time he wasn't King yet. Essentially he's afraid of Nok Du because he is a threat to his throne.. and he doesn't want to give it up now... or ever I guess. He's got an inferiority complex.
Things are getting so complicated! I am glad Dong Joo still ran to Nok Du, even after learning about his true identity. I don't think she'll let him being the King's son hinder their relationship. That montage at the end really highlighted all the wonderful moments they've shared... She leans on him for support. I'm at least glad knowing they still have one another. I just wonder what will happen with Yool Mu. He can reveal Nok Du's identity at any moment... and that is pretty nerve-racking. I understand why Nok Du hesitated to help the King, but at the same time he needs to look out for his own safety! Can't wait for tomorrow's episode! (Also they keep teasing us with short Lady Kim cameos! I want more! xD)
He's so gorgeous... and that voice! I also really started noticing him after watching Save Me. Since then I hadn't been very interested in any of his other projects until My Country which has really rekindled my love for him and his acting. Beyond acting though, he's such a humble and sweet guy. He's sort of shy and awkward and I find that really endearing. Thanks for writing this article, I enjoyed reading it! :)
WAHHH what a great way to end the episode! You could FEEL the emotion in that last scene and the kiss just felt so natural. So much is going on... such an interesting plot. I love that we are beginning to understand why Dong Joo has been so distant lately. She is desperately trying to limit her reasons to want to live on... but she just can't die with the thought of Nok Du on her mind. :'( The feels. I am so nervous though... with her trying to kill the King and Nok Du trying to come to terms with the King being his father... it's so messy. Ah, can't wait for tomorrow!! ALSO WE GOT TO SEE LADY KIM AGAIN! xD
This was a touching story... but also painful to watch as someone who suffers with her own demons. Life can be one difficult thing after another and is often unfair... but if we can somehow get through the challenging times we come out the other side a little bit stronger. If you're wondering if you should give this a go, I highly recommend it.
