vincenzo is such a strange drama because it's tonally all over the place and completely not what you would expect from the premise or cover. but it's such a damn good comfort show with such an amazing found family. i love it to bits.
of course i know this because it's squid game so she had zero chance of living BUT I'M FOREVER GONNA MISS MY GIRL HYUNJU I HOPE SHE GIRLBOSSES IN PEACE ðŸ˜
pretty much everyone died in s1 too. more characters actually made it out of this season than s1 aka 246 and the…
i think that's pretty natural to though. granted, most of the greedy characters in this felt like caricatures and were bumped to the max "evil" level, but we saw in s1 that even if they left, they have no life outside of the games. they would've come back anyway. so even if 456 warned them, there's no other option. look at how excited namgyu and myunggi got killing people in hide and seek. everyone was too far gone at that point.
i enjoyed most of this season but i'm still SO upset at how weak the front man and gihun confrontation/reveal was and how the brother confrontation was basically nonexistent. those are two of the biggest moments the show was leading up to and both miserably failed.
I think this shows that humanity exists that they arranged that fu*king game on an island and when they knew they…
i think that's the point though, no? we're supposed to be frustrated that the games continue and the bad guys "win" because we're supposed to reflect on humanity and what morality means. greed and power will always exist, but as long as we feel angry enough to choose selfless acts like gihun, then you keep your humanity.
I saw this scene differently. The mother killed her son because she knew her son wasn't someone who would kill,…
at the beginning the mother said she'd have to use it if necessary and not only do i think she was trying to protect the baby, i don't think she wanted him to experience killing a mother and baby in order to live. i don't think he could personally live with himself after that. he technically didn't die from her stabbing him, but he died because he didn't kill someone in the allotted time. but it's obvious she regretted being the cause of it.
These episodes should have been released with season 2. Because without the setup in season 2(which I actually…
they actually did vote to leave in s1 if you remember. everyone was so far in debt and had nothing to do that everyone decided to come back because they realized they have no life outside of squid game without the money, including gihun.
lol this season with it own flaws is still better than season 2 yet the rating of season 2 is higher 😂
i agree. i'm still a bit iffy on the ending, but i think it made sense given the events leading up to it. however, eps 1-5 were stellar to me. jump rope was easily my fave game in game 2.
not always. some people love hating because everyone else hates on it and they feel pressured to. other times people love hating because they see it too often and get sick of it (like things becoming mainstream). other times they're too afraid to share their real opinions whereas the ones who hate it are just louder. hated things or people is not always deserved. something you love can be something i hate. it's all subjective at the end of the day so hate is not "deserved" unless it's actively harmful.
that's what i keep saying. that entire plot led to absolutely nothing at all. idk why they seemed so satisfied with themselves at the end. all he did was yell at his brother and leave.
personally, i felt a little confused by the message they wanted to send, given the final scene. throughout the series they emphasized the consequences of capitalism, greed, money, and power. despite having a democratic vote in death games, the contestants continuously stayed and even grew murderous from it. however, gihun represented selflessness and the moral side of humanity in the face of greed. that's why i'm a little confused why they chose to show an american version rising, signifying that even when being selfless, there's not much anyone can do to stop greed and power from spreading. it almost felt a bit contradictory to me? like gihun did a noble and moral thing, but the "bad guys" still "won" and the games did not stop. to me, it didn't feel like the front man had any semblance of a change of heart or anything. unlike in s1, there was no final confrontation. there didn't seem to be any hope of change or anything. like it just ended grimly in that the games and greed will continue no matter what. the message just felt weird to me?
i also hate how they completely wasted the cop's plot in game 2. he felt completely useless, especially considering the ending. he finds the island, goes it to yell at his brother, then leaves lol. yeah they stop the games, but they were already so late it felt like his entire plot contributed nothing to the story at all. that's what frustrates me the most.
if yeonjin was able to get away with murder for so long by covering them up, how come she couldn't just kill dongeun…
they're still spoilers in the comments ? how many dramas from 1990-2020 have you wanted to watch and not wanted to read spoilers on lol? 2022 is barely even 3 years old. that's nothing.
if yeonjin was able to get away with murder for so long by covering them up, how come she couldn't just kill dongeun…
yes she's obviously a coward, but considering how easily she covered up both deaths (which i'm not convinced would've surfaced without dongeun), i can't see why she wouldn't just kill dongeun and cover it up like she did to everyone else. it's clear she feels no remorse, especially to someone trying to ruin her life. you should also probably mark your comment as spoilers so you don't spoil for others reading.
if yeonjin was able to get away with murder for so long by covering them up, how come she couldn't just kill dongeun…
yes, i mean she covered up the girl's death for years and was able to successfully build a career, family, and image for herself. she likely would've covered up myungho's death too. if she realistically killed dongeun and used her money to cover it up, then idk would it even get to that point?
