So did I.... first eps got me really hooked. Now I'm in 10th episode and I literally can't handle the plain density and stupidity of characters, especially FL..... 🙁 so far it's not heartwarming for me as much as it's just killing my braincells. It doesn't have to be how everyone feels, of course, but right at this point I myself am curious as to what to do with this drama...😅😐 I always try not to be overly critical and keep my standards somewhat realistic, but this is difficult even for me. 😐

Yeah don't even get me started. She just disappeared, fine. Didn't let anyone from her family know, her closest people, fine. And she miraculously becamse some career woman plotting her revenge. Fine. And she's going to be oooh so cold and frightening. Can't wait. And that fact that nobody from her family knew she was engaged and to WHOM is a good point, I didn't even realize that (y)

No, not a good starting bromance ruined by mixing in a tragic love story from the past.... Please. 😔 If "Joyce" will do nothing but being a bitch to Seung Jo and Seung Jo will end up following her around like a lost puppy and lose the main focus, I'll be really sad. These are the kinds of tropes I'm not really fond of.

Outside of that, I really like it and enjoy it so far. 🙏It's really a new environment I'm not used to seeing. I already watched Reborn Rich where I had zero knowledge about statistics and profits so being clueless isn't something I'm not used to. It doesn't ruin the fun for me because if I Google things once in a while, atleast I gain some knowledge 😅 And the main reason I'm here:
1) The character dynamics.
2) I don't get bored throughout the story
3) It's definitely a different quality without having awkward "funny" situations with weird sound effects and adults acting like 10 year olds.

Yes I really liked his "arc" and hoped to see more of his developement. People can't change over night even if deep down they really do repent, and many people don't change ever. It was clear to me that when he dropped school he'd probably find himself some new work and start over somewhere else. Having him as one of the counters would probably be a cliché.... but a sidekick? .....or simply a grey character.... no? :(

Feel you there. It's not that I wanna mix romance everywhere. It's not like romance fits everywhere. Honestly in many cases it ruins everything, because then all in the story becomes completely subdued for the sake of the romance and stops making sense. It starts being unnatural. I like romance where it's reasonable and not forced, it grows with time and it's not like with some dramas where it takes exactly one episode for the characters to be infatuated with each other and next episode they're asking each other out on a date. With drama of 16 episodes when they're already madly in love in first 3 episodes, what is the rest going to be about? I like it when it's not the main focus but it's rather a side effect, collateral fruit of what's happening. Here it might be, but it also might not. Would be nice, but I'm fine either way. 🤚 I personally feel like HongSae's interest has been piqued, hard to say if only professional POV because there's more and more unexplainable things happening around her. However he left the dinner shortly after she did and obviously wanted to go after her. Not to mention their high-school backstory being already hinted aswell – him finding her picking up lost coins. My guess is we'll get back to that atleast and it might unveil some presumptions he has about her.

Well I think that's exactly what I said. "plot here seems interesting, does the story and characters have something to offer?" sounds pretty specific on my part. I never said it should be interesting purely because it's casted with women, only that the fact intrigued me. These days I'm trying to search for stories with strong female leads, and that's what I'm doing here. Simply one of many, many aspects. It doesn't decide the overall likeability of the show for me, and I never mention it. 🙏

Thank you. I don't mind humor to lift up the mood once in a while. I'd just like to avoid the forcely awkward moments every 2 minutes which some dramas tend to have... 😰 As long as it's not purely based on "stupid humor" it's fine with me.

I still haven't started watching yet, but I'm truly intrigued by a whole group of women as leads ( simply because most of the time you have male leads or ML and FL, and the plot here seems interesting). Should I start it? Do the characters and story have something to offer or is it rather draggy? 😶

Control question: I don't see our ginger Malfoy anywhere in the cast, guessing Hyuk Woo is probably not coming back? :( I know they did a good job wrapping up his story the way they did, not redeeming him completely, yet foreshadowing his change of heart and walking the right path..... still I had a tiny hope of seeing him again.

Absolutely, this isn't one of the dramas where you can jump into the middle without getting to know the world-building, character's past and personality, power system, and of course the context of the story. Each of these aspects is key. But the show is crazy enjoyable so I don't think you have anything to worry about. Atleast before you finish S1 some of S2 episodes will already be out (unless you binge it of course :D ) ;)

Yes my words! You put it very nicely indeed. I couldn't come up with accurate enough description. Grounded and not over-exaggarated seems just perfect to me. 😁 And about SY she simply feels like a real person, honestly despite having the male leads, she's what I'm looking forward to and excited to see again, can't wait 😊 It's hard to find such tangible female character who doesn't act all tough or straight out stupid 90 % of the time... atleast from what I've encountered 😅🙁

Pretty much. In some universes it could maybe be thought of as something that's not even entirely under that demon's control and it might be to their inconvenience even, like "yeaah I really like posessing someone, but the fact sometimes my eyes give it away is such a draaag what have I done to deserve this, it sucks" you know😅😅 But then to make the black eyes thing a general thing for demons oveall and make it automatically for every demon ever, that unfortunatelly kills off that statement I made that might make sense from time to time 😆😆 So I think how they solved here is pretty smart, that the posession can't even be seen and given away so superficially. 👍

I very much agree. I'm so satisfied with the way they dealt with the posession – mirror reflection, shadows, stains but not your typical stains, rather scar looking. Refreshing much. I wonder what will happen next in the story. And about Hong Kyung I was in extreme anticipation exactly because of his role in WHC1. I was worried that I'd still see his previous role's "shadow" hanging over him because it's basically impossible for me to move on from what his character did then. But here we're looking at a totally different person and so far he's succesfully driving me away from his previous drama and I don't think of his previous role at all when I look at him here. I feel honestly so happy about that (+ I like his character's straight forwardness yet not unnecessary cockiness so far 😇) .
