It's why HE FALLS for her .. he has found the partner of his DREAMS as she has of hers - to be part of something REALLY BIG and MEANINGFUL.

Mom is just short-sighted and unable to see beyond her narrow life view .. She is a kind of modern day Mrs Bennet (Pride & Prejudice)

But give Parallel World a try .. if "fantasy - sci-fi" kinda blend with a slice of life handling of it is something you might enjoy.

VERY mature relationship .. and one of the sexiest strongest FL roles (Ni Ni is too good).

You could also try Fake it Till you Make it.
TWO very strong characters .. who are going to do the 'dating dance' and it has a real life romance feel .. with oodles of flutters .. AND the second FL's storyline is equally engaging.

One of the best weaving of romance and business and character arcs I've seen .. where all 3 are integral to understanding the Drama and why they do what they do ..
