He's cold, he's upset, he's angry and his buried 'fight NOT flight' reaction plays out like back in school .. needed that ONE nutty bully character for him to vent!!

It came as a story element for me .. and sweet plot surprise .. which would have fallen flat had I read the MDL brief.

Thank God I didnt read ANYTHING about the show .. JUST the poster did it for me BUNGEE JUMPED ..
and then discovered its Li Xian and Zhou Yu Tong and this gem!!

SOOOO happy I found everything while I watched - knew nothing except what was being revealed ..

AND O LORD Mercy me!! NO INNER VOICE dialogues popping up .. phew!!
It's SO easy to infer .. and it's "show .. don't tell" through and through ;-p

I am 100% sure this is going to stay elevated at 10/10 evenly.

It has Li Xian and a VERY GOOD actress in it too ..

But their potential as was frittered away :-(

I agree.

"Meet Yourself" for me ended up looking more like a travel and social development documentary .. at 40 episodes it meandered too much for me and I lost sight of the "drama" ..

I remember being SOLIDLY gripped AND sooo excited by the first few episodes of MY but it fizzled away lost ALL its tension build up which was there in the early eps..

It's definitely has its appeal for those who are looking for that feel.

WLIS is more my cuppa .. balances the inner life of the protagonists and doesn't lose sight of it as the prime story line even as it slides and slips over their external lives .. skims and dances over the supporting cast .. builds up the details of what makes them .. made them become who they are ..

It's rich in its drama and has me absolutely hooked studying each of their (ML & FL) expressions .. body language .. words .. reactions and behaviours ..

All the aegyo - the silly - the inane - the fluff - the cringe has been laundered out of this slice of life REAL, ADULT Drama which DOES NOT shy away from exploring what a REAL romance feels like.

Fertilizer for the mind - this!!!
Unique setting too.
