Looking forward to this Drama.

Both Choi Woo Shik and PBY are TOP notch actors!!

I first saw CWS in "The Package" (support role) and he flew!!

Here's the funny thing .. It's only on my rewatch of "The Package" (during a season of drought when I wasn't finding anything to watch or rewatch) I NOTICED : OMG CWS was in this show too .. HOW brilliant and nuanced is his role .. totally convincing.

I NOTICED because by then I had watched BELOVED SUMMER (twice).

It's ONE of my TOP Kdramas for rewatch and every which way.

The low key character type is SO TOUGH to pull off .. insecure, without much ambition, not a genius, sorta lost, not the brightest of buttons when it comes to 'reading' people ..
That "dumb" / "lost in his thoughts" look is what his character IS ... Just a plain ol' lovely boy next door who'll stutter to confess (if EVER).

For me his "visual" is ZERO ;-p
BUT
His acting talent is 9/10
(Beloved Summer IMO is probably his BEST WORK)

I looked up other shows of his after being impressed by his role play.

I am enjoying "The Dream of Splendour"
Sweet .. interesting story .. NOTHING heart pounding till now and I am past the halfway mark .. Heading for a 8/10 IMO

For excellent script .. No cheesy cutesy acts (total turn off for me) excellent sismance .. COMPLEX characters with layers.

I think in tha hands of a MORE DRAMATIC director who took risks this could have been a POWERFUL DRAMA with a 9/10 potential
Because the actors were top notch - suited to the superb script.

I was swept off my feet .. Mature .. slice of life feel .. DRAMATIC .. what photography .. OST .. Acting .. STORY!!!!

Ufff!!

I followed up the ML in several other shows he did .. One of the TOP actors from the Kdrama stable. BUT the rest of the cast was equally Powerful.

GO FOR it NOW.

You gotta WATCH them.

TTEOTM was my first propah Xanxia .. so it's amazing that I ended up watching it and learning along the way the argot of the genre .. BUT I LOVED it so much that I watched it again to get a FULL grasp of the story .. and LOVED it EVEN BETTER. The KISSES.

So a 3rd watch for me is on the way later in the year for sure during a rough period.

SOKP .. Phew!! Blew my mind, that it had such complex characters whose motives are not always clear .. and the viewers mind keep on edge not always sure HOW these characters will behave.
So many LOVELY tense moments that you cant predict or know what is coming up. And the KISSES!!!

It's Kdrama .. Some of the OLD ones were such classics .. They should REALLY bring in back on Kocowa or Viki.

In the meantime I found a period CDrama "A Dream of Splendour" and it's caught my interest A LOT.
Fingers crossed that it stays as intriguing.

While looking up MDL for deets on the shows on your list I didn't know about I found A Dream of Splendour (ADOS).

Today I am watching it .. and enjoying the 'intelligent' banter and story and the FL who has a LOT of spine and smarts.

Will let you know how that goes.

What is ELOD?

You will go crazy watching an old classic
~ Love Story in Harvard.

Off the Charts chemistry and skinship with a superb story to boot.

I found the vibes between Bai Lu and LYX and also between Bai Lu and ZLH Off the Charts!!!

However yesss - what Chen FY and ZZ have is incomparable (closest I found anyone gets is LYX and Bai Lu in Love is Sweet)

Not on board with that statement...I've seen some super sexy solid propah kissing on several CDramas.

Well not Down your Gullet Sucking Hollywood / Western levels of action (which frankly end up being mostly gratuitous IMO) BUT just that lovely cheek warming throat flushing tingling beautiful skinship and kissing.

The lip touch and freeze frame ones are the worst - a full on insult 😅

Unless they happen to be Mr Sunshine levels of Classy Drama..

Didn't enjoy.

I like my bad ass FLs to stay bad ass and spunky in essence..
I just couldn't shake off JSM's shadow in the follow up.

I think we all probably have that band of actors who kill the shows for us....and then we sort of avoid those shows even if they score a 9plus on MDL.
