What an excellent script story, production budget. And what a waste to have cast a strong actress, who is not being directed well at all.
The ML is truly so uninspiring and boring. He has no spunk, and I feel terrible saying this, but there’s absolutely nothing attractive about him, either the director or the cinematographer or costume, and makeup person couldn’t draw out his character as someone the audience would be able to rise up to cheer for, have their emotions bubbling over. Just not an engaging enough actor either; sometimes a fantastic acting completely Subdues whatever be their features or physical looks. (of course, attractiveness lies in the eyes of the beholder, I will admit).
Thinking further - even the OST is unimpressive .. Basically poignancy is missing in the acting and directing department.
Some sauce .. without making it cheap or selling out in terms of an intelligent way to tell the story, visually, not so much by dialogue.
