I've started watching .. LOVE LOVE LOVE Chen Kun AND the FL (first time seeing her .. and she HOLDs her own against him in acting talent.)
I am struggling keep track of the business side of thing .. but definitely not bored .. the sparring is sexy!!! SO SO SEXY!!
Their between the lines catch the ball game is SOOOO AWESOME.
Definitely a mature scriptwriter - PD team, and VERY much in the Netflix US / UK series mold.
It has bypassed EVERY trope of Asian Drama .. seemingly .. or if not .. it's been redone in a new way which doesn't make you roll your eyes.
However I have put it on HOLD for now - because while on a casual search for Chen Kun I found The Rise of the Phoenixes and fell into it trap .. havent been able to escape .. So now I am going to see Chen Kun doing "bad scheming boy with soft heart" and gorgeous tresses for balance 50 episodes (its 70 eps long) before returning to WTF

He's really avoided doing any drama where he has a "romantic relationship arc" with a woman.
I am watching The Rise of the Phoenixes .. BUT not sure if it will have any "skinship - Steamy Kiss scenes" with the FL and a strong relationship arc with FL.
If it doesn't after 70 episodes .. too sad.
I'll watch until 35 and see if it's going there .. half way is the gold spot for relationships to blossom .. or I'll just drop it .. too dry without a strong FL - ML romantic development ALONG with a MEATY story of intrigues and politics. Eg The Red Sleeves Bloody Heart Empress Ki Hwang Jin YI

Ahhhhhhh (yowling) what a waste of sexual tension - and SUPERB acting talent.
It's my first time watching a Chen Kun show. What a phenomenal actor!!! And the FL is SOOOOOO good . EVEN Agent Schully and Mulder got together ;-D
Am not going to have much interest watching a "dry" show that is ALL business talk / jargon however superb the mains are.
