LXY best role in a period drama (of all the ones I watched - mostly dropped at a point or FFwd watched) - he’s truly flying with those micro expressions

The only other role he fitted to the T for me was WHAT IF ( very below the radar drama with not a great rating - but stellar and again off the beaten track script and direction - modern drama).

I don’t have the guts to watch WHAT IF a second time - but I might one day😍

This show is ripping for almost every viewer who’s coming here to read and comment - but after 36 rating is still not clicked into 8.9 😜😜

Once again you prove your observation and analysis skill in your clear writing and expression: it’s going as good as the drama is.

I too had looked her up about a week ago ,, because I was sensing that this has some FABULOUS in character growth as well as bypassed the 'villainess' trope to get the Leads to hook up or some such forced plot ..

I will also hope that she does more goos drama ..

She did a SUPERB job with the drama which has fast cars and racing

ATC is playing out into a MOST mature, deeply thought out drama with character arcs, not just for the leads but also the larger cast .. especially the women - who usually get relegated to 'villainess' portrayals - it's the first time (?) an ML is having to jump hoops to try to understand his 'love' which is basically a imo at CRUSH level when it starts ..

SO SO reminds me of how simplistic ML of LLTG was when HE made up his mind to wed FL .. He had to endure his own purgatory before he "understood"

AS someone beautifully put it in one of the comments : "You Know Nothing Lin Jin Qi"

(work also for "You know nothing Ling Bu Yi")

And that's one of the treasures in this Drama .. How will LJQ evolve?

How will Lan Xiang (Jia Lan) learn to KNOW LJQ also

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST INTELLIGENT BUNCH of VIEWERS I have come across - the conversations are SOLID and AMAZINGLY although the drama is GOING completely off track .. off the beaten track .. breaking so many of the tropey molds and YET EVERYONE is LOVING IT!!
