There are two Begin Again dramas: One with Gong Jun and one with Elvis Han. Which one are you referring to? π
What If also I'd club in this groupingπ€ͺ
BUT precisely as you observed, they are far more serious dramas and don't fall in the traditional rom-com genre.
This one IMO is classic quality rom-com. π
BTW I am also tempted to club The Tale of Rose with the previously mentioned 3.. And that drama is even deeper.. The equivalent of Bass.. Again, a class apart in the serious tone gene, that examines human relationships.
This Drama takes the π for the best Modern romcom CDRAMA. No cheesy rib-tickling, no "man-pleasing" eye-batting, nerd who is stylish, delectable dialogues, then there is Vespa & Roman Holiday Vivien Leigh, Marlon Brando on a poster.. Harley and burly aged men.. Ahh the references SO APT for a top of the line Classy Script - Direction - acting!!! Ahh the choice of music!!!
What a rare rare rare gem of a drama..cooked with as much love and care as our ML's Wagyu slices and salmon swirls ππππ
Not for those looking for fussy slop and candy floss or loud in your face humour... It's subtle chuckles and guffaw with tears at imperfect humans.. Especially those who struggle with "social skills" and those who are too afraid to commit.
10/10 till now.
Slurping up each episode.
Wallace Huo SHINES on this one. This is his TRUE talent - comedy!!! He DOES SO REMIND YOU of Buster Keaton...
And Zhu Zhu has my heart since The Tale of Rose!! Oh those uniquely placed dimples...and the mischief twinkles in her dark eyes
Will get to it for a second watch too.

Refreshing.. That zing of lemon freshness all over this crunchy yummy salad full of Umami AND sweet sour salt.
BUT this SNAIL pace.. This hitting on the head with hammer till it's pulped...
This being in love with holding shots till your eyes bleed..
Ufffff!!!
Just how much can one FFD to get the story to advance without becoming slush...
The soggy liquid that this tale is becoming - the crunch is going going gone!!!!
I feel terrible watching this absolutely fresh story be leached away with OVERCOOKING!!!
It could easily have been a delish saute of crunch and flavour at just about 25 eps at most - from the amount I am FFD ing to move the story along.
Also agree. The chemistry is JUST NOT working!!!
Those dimples π©·π©·π©·
This is exactly what happened to me : drama hit me between my eyes out of left field : loving it
Such an enjoyable character - so well acted
Hmm difficult!!
