This one for me was SURE ONE.
I watched it TWICE ..
and she is a top fave actress of mine.
It has such a heart thumping beginning .. superb camerawork .. excellent actors .. and anchored in an engaging business story which gives it meat.
Some of the scenes are SO SO iconic .. the music score lifts it off the ground.

Back then after this drama introduced this FL actress to me I checked out Smile You AND Cunning Single Lady .. also Once Again .. enjoyed them all .. CSL also I watched twice.
Such low ratings for a superbly shot drama .. the camera and OST are captivating as is the acting .. Sadly she seems to have resigned from acting or taken a break?

Some of us love a well baked Love Triangle ;-p Where the 3rd person is written as a rounded, dimensional character played with great skill by the actor .. and the viewer is able to get serious heartache for the person .. EVEN though happy for the OTP and a H.E. (or not).
A most recent example would be CDrama NORTHWARD. Am 100% sure many viewers felt a twang in the heart and a twist in the belly watching Zhai Zi Lu's character's arc.
Same in The Tale of Rose : Pent Guan Ying's character
Kind of feels like an aunt and nephew gap IRL - more believably.
The other time I got wrinkles from cringe was seeing that THE REBEL PRINCESS cast an FL ( Zhang Zi Yi) a 42 y.o in 2021 as a 15 y.o. Teenager 🤢 And a 38 y.o. ML as an early 20's warrior 😵
Just how did they justify this I have NO IDEA!!!
The first Episode itself felt like a bug was crawling under my skin when 42 y.o. With naso-labial folds and uneven jawline was prancing around "baby talking" - how did the viewers go past that I haven't yet been able to wrap my head around.
AND miracle of miracles - the drama got an 8.4 rating 😱😱😱😱😱
Would it have buried the drama had they cast closer to age younger actors in the teenager role.
From many of the comments on this thread seems like the same thing happened here.
I am NOT BEING AGE-IST here when I bring up the miscast age... Because I have no issues watching main roles and plots that are about mature women.. Romance or action or any genre..
To watch a baby faced ML getting it on with an adult heading to middle age is extremely off putting 🤮
You can dive and dive out in an endless loop and recycle the same dialogue expressions movements camera angles music...

After the sweet set up..nothing moved.. There was NO ARC either..
