I don’t see how Hu Yang would be better for Gu Yiye, she didn’t even agree with him becoming a soldier. And he never loved her, even when she was practically throwing herself at him. I am team YiyexXiu all the way, she’s the only one who understands Gu Yiye and can actually make him feel better, apart from his father.

They are still training, those are military exercises. When they get to actual war, there will be deaths and casualties.

Every movie a country makes about itself is propaganda .Weirdly , no one seems concerned about being misguided by American films, for example. It’s only a problem when it comes to non-western countries, I guess

With all due respect, no one is obligated to like other actors just because they are in the same drama with their fave . It is normal to only support someone you actually like. And if someone doesn’t like other actors, it doesn’t mean they “discard” those actors’ work. People may just not be interested in it, that’s perfectly normal. I am up to episode 29 and there are at least 10 episodes where we barely see GYY. Nothing was fixed except for the billing issue. I don’t agree that others have the same amount of screentime and we just don’t notice it. There are actual stats of screen time for all actors made by someone and -surprise- GYY doesn’t have the same amount as the other protagonist. It’s better to allow people however they want to feel about it.

She’s literally my least favorite, self-centered, protected and pushed by her daddy and behaves like a whiny teenager when she’s supposed to be around 30 yo. Even Gao Liang is doing better than her in the new episodes, his character has growth (or rather an abrupt change but so be it). Elaine Zhong is pretty but her character is uninspiring to say the least

I don’t think they will kill him off. And I doubt they’ll let a talented commander like Gu Yiye just retire. He has an old wound from a shrapnel , I guess it acts up when he’s stressed

I almost agree. They should have showed more of the transition. But the “drifting apart” was quite obvious in the drama. And that they were always on a different wavelength. Also the fact that he always kept in touch with A Xiu , she sent Gu Yiye food and they talked to each other in letters. And when Gao Liang told him thathe should love her, Gu Yiye was already starting to develop feelings for her. So idk, their bond many years later doesn’t comes as a surprise😅 But it’s a shame it wasn’t shown a bit more.
The real surprise is JNZ suddenly being in love with Gao Liang. There was nothing to indicate she ever felt this way about him in previous episodes. In this regard, GuYiyexXiu have a much better arc than Gao LiangxJNZ. Sorry, writers, but I just don’t buy that she loves him now. It feels that they were put together because they are male and female leads, don’t understand where the sudden feelings came from
