okay so it's pretty much confirmed to air on Zhejiang TV starting June 18th because ZJTV themselves said so when Yang Mi appeared on last week's episode of Keep Running XD
now we just await the official weibo acc to confirm the timeslot and how many eps per week kind of stuff (and maybe give us more teasers pretty please??)
anyone else getting princess agent vibes from the trailer. like the costumes and special effects seem very similar…
they're produced by diff prod teams!
the story is pretty different and apparently, the character herself is a lot more fun and outgoing haha but I guess strong fighting woman part is similar
I know almost everyone love's Yang Yang's voice and hates dubbing BUT for this adaptation I really hope they'll get the original dubber to dub him hehe just my personal opinion pls don't kill me lol
did you not read what was written on the article. It literally says Lai Yumeng is the leading lady XD. Anyway…
apparently lai yumeng received quite a lot of flak during her appearances on divas hit the road so that's why the prod team kept delaying her casting announcement. i've also heard rumors that su mucheng's character will probs be taking a little bit of a back seat ://
This drama is an adaptation of Korean drama "Giant." Official copyrights have been purchased. Took 3 yrs of preparation; they changed many things to it to have it fit the Chinese Republican era and other things.
there may have been room for a bit more, like a wedding or something, but apparently the wedding scene is in the pillow book (and is honestly a brief scene) and BQYH only show up as cameos in the pillow book, but a different production company bought the rights to the pillow book, so I think that's why they didn't add any more sweet scenes. but the ending is already a happy ending!! :D
but there are definitely a lot of angst/trials/tribulations and a bunch of awesome and turbulent emotions to get there LOL
yeah it is!! :D (my comment below isn't that spoiler-y but I ticked it as a spoiler just in case some ppl don't want to know any hints about the ending)
Luv the ending song. Is it william's song? luv his accent. and when speaking, is he dubbed or his own voice in…
yeah the ending is his own song!! I like it too haha XD
and according to Baidu, it says that he's dubbed because like you said, his Mandarin is a lot more accented. But for some reason this dubber sounds like he has an accent too..........and I can't tell if it's on purpose so that it kind of "matches" Weiting's real voice/accent or smth (since some dubbers can do that) haha
Impression so far: Up to Ep 7 subbed, and 27 raw ..... -- The 2 lead characters are very appealing and very much…
though I agree with most of your points, I do think that male lead's violent and angry tendencies have been quite offputting so far and the female lead has been a pain in the ass the past few episodes. she's one of the reasons (although there are others) that is making Lian Kai doubt his brother. it's a bit frustrating in my opinion LOL
I also find the whole her being married to Yi Lian Kai but still thinking of running off with Pan Jian Chi story arc kind of annoying as well, but I also feel that YLK can sometimes be a really big jerk, despite the drama painting him to be a cunning, scarred, mischievious lad.
And yup Han Dongjun is crazily charismatic in this, very charming!
Just wanted to point out some parts that I don't like about the drama, although I also agree with your points too :D
finished this two days ago and wow, it was really good!! I generally don't even like campus/youth dramas, but this one was honestly really good. Really enjoyed it. The review by @Aequitas essentially sums up how I feel about this drama too. Great watch! Highly recommend!
It's more on the serious side compared to most other youth dramas, but still has it's light/humorous side too. Romance is limited, but very cute and pure.
Tencent VIP members will get the week's episodes in advance

Air date for Here to Heart will be pushed back by Hunan TV. Great Expectations will air instead.
