Guys it has only school episodes or is there any clg scenes
i don't really remember since i've watched tens of dramas since then, but it's either mostly school or ONLY school days. maybe up to the first year of college or after school final exams where leads go back and forth and between cities if i remember correctly.
Seo In Guk acting isnt "the same in every drama he has participated". His characters in High School King of Savvy…
my opinion is just that, an opinion. People can watch and decide themselves, in my initial comment i didn't suggest to not watch it, OR not watch it because of him. i've watched tons of dramas and i can't see that 'range' you are talking about but it's not up to any of us to judge that. every viewer can have their own opinion and let the critics officially judge what's supposed to be judged.

it's ok. No heavy stuff here. The evil characters are not extremely evil but the drama could also finish at 20 episodes.. The chemistry is OK, nothing extraordinary . Actually i wanted to see more of FL's best friend and her husband's love story. It is not in the top 50 romance C-dramas so i wouldn't recommend you watch it, but if you have finished A TON of dramas like me and you are just skimming through what's left then go for it. 7/10 in this genre maybe.
Too much overblaming and overforgiving goin on here. It is an interesting drama though. Nice plot, not overused in other dramas etc. The ML was a big a**hole though, after toying with FL so much and so viciously it made no sense for him to be forgiven so easily and so quickly. I mean if it lasted until the last 1-2 episodes and then the Lead Couple reconciled somehow it would be fine. INSTEAD the FL acts as she wasn't completely lied and played on like a pawn, so much so, that her friend family and love life are all manipulated by ML. Again, i understand that is all due to the concept of the plot here BUT the FL was too gullible and forgiving even for this situation. It is STILL 7.5/10 , because pretty much all the characters did what they had to do, and there are no big plot holes. The sequence of the episodes is smooth and progressed proportionately, which means there was not ONE episode where something meaningful about the plot progression didn't happen so it never became draggy or uninteresting. Nice OST.
20 episodes seem to not be enough for this (after having watched Chinese version first) Things have to unfold too quickly, it could be done in 20 episodes if some plot points were discarded. It's better than Chinese version in my opinion.
it's all over the place. first few episodes are showing the present then skip to an interview part then start flashbacks of high school with interviews of the present inbetween . it's hard to follow if you want to watch a youth romance drama, way more tiring than the rest of this genre. Dropped episode 6. Oh also since it says that it's 35 episode long, with the pace so far it will for sure be draggy and repetitive .
People commented that it's good so maybe if you have the time and focus to invest on it, watch it. Not for me.

First of all you proved my point, secondly when i say every drama he has participated i mean either every one of those i've seen, OR most of his dramas. 2 out of 20 where he played a kinda different character proves no versatility but even if he indeed is not a variety actor, i didn't say it's a big disadvantage on the drama, i just find it hella boring, i still rated it 7.5
it is indeed a bit too long for its' story. Should be at least 24 episodes if not less. It's not bad it's just that it drags a bit at some points that are really unnecessary. Your typical youth romance drama. 8.2 seems a bit too much. i'd say 7.5/10 is closer to reality. (maybe fangirls boosted the rating) As for recommendation: watch it with fast forwards in a lot of scenes and you won't feel that it's a waste of time or it drags. No major background plots and no twists so you won't skip anything important.
VERY fast forwardable drama. Your typical youth romance genre drama. A lot of flashbacks (a lot of chances for fast forward). The chemistry between the lead roles is not there. They are not incompatible BUT it's not a couple that would get you watching if the drama was bad (it's not). Also the Actor playing the male lead has a very apathetic face, if he was playing a role of a mysterious guy/ cold CEO or something, it would suit him well, but playing a guy that falls in love early and keeps chasing and being jealous, is not his strong point. It's not an attack on the actor obviously. This drama does its' job BUT i don't get why the average rating is 8.0.. I would rate it more like 7-7.5/10 in this genre.
Refreshing! It's good for a change in this genre that the major relationship problem was not caused by a mischevious/evil plotting Ex-girlfriend or Male antagonist (while they did exist in this drama they were not detrimental to the plot), but the actual Lead Couple smoothly fell in love and then realized their differences and compromises made to be with each other, which is more natural than just having Third characters throwing obstacles at them. The lead couple also has good chemistry indeed. In the beginning ML seems like a total a**hole but it really turns around after episode 5 or so. The plot has no extreme twists and no events that ruin the mood completely, just two hurt characters trying to find love again and realizing there's more than love needed to keep a relationship going. Oh also no amnesia(yay asian romance :D). I indeed hoped for a longer 'happy ending' maybe spread in 2-3 episodes with a more complete reconciliation but it's not unsatisfactory the way it is either.
episodes and easily watchable. No shocking acting or plot twists though. It's just a decent mid-level budget romantic C-drama and it does its' job well.
7/10 for this genre.
I also like the rich CEO's family that loved the FL since the first encounter (both the Mum and Grandma), instead of creating even more obstacles. It was kind of too much that the female antagonist never got punished, because she ruined FL's image at least 4 times and with extreme lies, if it was less then i'd say OK she lost at love and it's satisfactory BUT it was too much. 12 of the 24 episodes were solemnly created/written because of something bad the Female antagonist did. So when we as viewers are bothered so much with her (she does her job well, as an antagonist should do, dont get me wrong), we should at least have the satisfaction in the end of her getting punished somehow. Or just give us longer happy ending, like 3 episode-spread. Also there was hints of pregnancy that never developed , maybe they could use this plot arch in the end to make us happier and ease our anger on the female antagonist. Of course all these things are not 'flaws' of the drama per se. It's just after having watched tons of dramas in this particular genre, i have seen writers handle these types of characters/stories WAY better. OF COURSE i've seen a lot worse too and that's why i said above that the drama is mid-level and does its' job well. One more good thing was the dialogues between FL and Female Antagonist, where FL never felt threatened or embarrassed due to the 'social class difference'. FL was written as ambitious and brave instead of poor little fragile girl that eventually got clingy (which is overused and LAME). Good work overall.
Pretty good. No overuse of many typical C-drama cliche. Story is refreshing, i've watched more than 400 Chinese and Korean dramas and i can't recall any drama with a lot of similarities. The main plot apart from the romance story is nice. Also one good thing is that the love between the Lead Couple progresses smoothly and in a span of a lot of episodes (like 15 or even more), which is rare. We usually see the cold CEO or the clingy poor girl fall in love from 0 to 100 real quick. Here you have a complete love story. Obviously i would like the 'happy' ending to be spread in 3 episodes to be more satisfactory, since 28 episodes is a number many C-dramas have. (24,28,35,42 etc). It wouldn't become draggy for just 3 extra episodes but it's not a negative either. Well written, also the fashion director/s did a great job in most characters. SFL , FL, SML, are dressed really well according to their vibe and background. ML too but it's not really hard to dress a CEO or a famous/rich person well, kudos still. Generally a 8.5/10. the chemistry between the leads is there for sure and one of the reason many dramas get draggy is either the number of episodes + the lack of chemistry OR a terribly written story/terrible character in the level of unwatchable. Recommend it.
nahhhh, it becomes really annoying and unwatchable early on.Having a Male Lead that makes FL's life difficult…
and even a third Female antagonist in the face of an ex-lover, against Female Lead. Very creative drama. Not repeating the same easy-though plot. Yikes.
nahhhh, it becomes really annoying and unwatchable early on. Having a Male Lead that makes FL's life difficult AND a female antagonist at work that schemes and plots against FL is not enough, you have to turn her FRIEND against her as well? Obstacles for plot evolution are ok but when it becomes straight up bullying and one person against the world , its just annoying. im on episode 9 but im already sure in the end (happy ending somehow obviously) both FL's friend and the other female antagonist will be excused or forgotten or whatever, anything except revenged upon or destroyed.. Bad writing in character development.
the female antagonist got away with anything she did, not a revenge not a punishment . Poor writing when the drama is so long. If you want to have a character creating obstacles on the Lead Couple but STILL have a happy ending, you can do it in 24 episodes as usual for C-dramas, but when you prolong the episodes so much you can at least give the viewers some satisfaction by punishing the antagonist. It's been at least 10 episodes since female antagonist ridiculed FL publicly and set her up with those emails but we still have no feedback on the situation. I don't care that in the end the antagonist loses to FL because the Lead Couple end up together, this happens in literally ALL THE ROMANTIC DRAMAS, the point is all the evil characters are either forgiven or let go and it just gives the viewers NO closure.
Also the chemistry of the lead characters just isn't there. They are not incompatible or just two faces that look weird as a couple but there is no bond either so it's tiring to watch 30 episodes of the same thing repeatedly and hope something happens with the 'power of love'. After a point i just finished the drama as a chore since i already wasted some hours on it. Thankfully a ton of unimportant scenes exist and i could fast forward it a lot. 6/10
not a critic for this drama but after seeing episode 1 it just hit me. A general realization , the amount of accidental kisses of someone falling down and the other person perfectly falling in his/her lips is insane in Asian dramas :D Please find more creative ways drama writers!! Clumsy people falling is overused. OR AT LEAST use it just ONCE in your drama, to have an initial spark between the Lead characters or something.
i've watched tons of dramas and i can't see that 'range' you are talking about but it's not up to any of us to judge that. every viewer can have their own opinion and let the critics officially judge what's supposed to be judged.

not a bad drama overall but not worth 20+hrs of your time either i think.
