Li Si was saved by his master under the orders of the Li Si Aunt. His master groomed him for revenge while controlling him with poison—from the bug, bcs a tiny amount triggers his ailment. His master always handy with pills.
Li Si’s aunt has a direct connection to the Li Luo royal family members. The Empress was killed by the Emperor, and she is there to seek revenge.
The ultimate puppet master who contros these whole plays turns out to be Li Si himself. He found out he is being controlled by his master and is playing along.

SP is a mind-bending mystery drama. Just when you think you have figured out who the bad guys are, they turn out to be either a low-level lackey or not the villain at all. As the plot progresses, the characters who seemed good are no longer what they appear to be.
Based on watching 16 eps and various trailers, here is my pure speculation on where the story could be heading:

In the beginning I was thinking it was her who uncovered the plot to kill 4th prince and she arranged MR brother as replacement, then out of guilt or to control MR, she took him into the bureau. She then send Shifu to safe Li Si. Now Idk....really good drama....

Hmm, you got that point, but both are too young at that time.
Looks like everyone is involved LOL....
Could it be that Shifu is the one caused Li Si heart problem and the pill is to control him. Remember those poster where Lisi controling Li Si and the puppet....Let's give that poster a thought.

It has been years since I was this absorb in a mystery costume drama; it was Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty 1 that hooked me on the Chinese mysterious cases. I didn’t really have any expectations for the plot when I started SP. But boy, each episode is getting better, and I can’t wait for the next day's release.

Everyone is a suspect in this drama—who is who, and who is controlling whom? But the the clip in one of the trailer, Li Si in white controlling Li Si in Black whom control the puppet. That's now becoming more interesting....Can it all be Li Si at the end?

Today’s episode and the closure of the Gong family story arc was just too sad.
A lot of emotion to digest after watching ep 15-16.

TSY is a lovely actress with very clean reputation, little marketing and let her work speaks for herself. She is like Luo Yunxi, perhaps that's why both of them still good friends for over 10 years. I was happy both of them sang together at Spring Festival, but it was too short. Hopefully, one day we get both of them to star together in a more serious drama. Once I'm done with this, I will support watching her current airing drama. Yes, platform can do what they want. Fans just need to be smarter next time.

Qiyi didn’t even bother to bring this drama to their investment conference, dropped tons of material one day and airing the next day, that’s it. Required fans to pay for Fix screen, but not telling them only for 24 hrs. Zero trending, except for bad trending, zero big screen from producer. Drama and character data not synchronized wt other 3rd party data, etc.

LYX as the main cash cow of his agency is leaving, this should be his break up drama.
