Luo Yunxi’s excellent acting, artistry and resilience haven’t gone unnoticed—CCTV highlighted him at the Chinese New Year Gala preheating. While other actors played games and received lucky charms, CCTV showcased his calligraphy, ballet, dubbing skills, and even had him voice Nezha. Instead of a charm, he was given a “Best Acting Award” trophy. They remarked, “Lucky Luo Yunxi quit calligraphy after half a semester, otherwise the industry would have lost such an outstanding actor.”
CCTV even honored him with a poem: “A pine tree stands tall against the wall, silently bearing witness to a thousand autumns.” A perfect reflection of his low key strength—always honing his craft despite storms, never wavering from his goal of being a good actor.
His acting speaks for itself; anyone watching his recent dramas knows he’s a rare talent. Beyond acting, he shines as a League of Legends spokesperson, achieving super rare double Pentakills in recent LOL event friendly matches, even defeating JackeyLove, the legendary youngest world champion of 2018. Despite triumphing against pros and champions, he stays humble, always crediting his teammates: “It’s my teammates who let me win.”
David Chuang, the international award-winning scriptwriter/director of TTW, said about Luo Yunxi in interviews for a Thailand publication:
“He has never seen such a focused actor. He devoted himself wholeheartedly, not only fulfilling the requirements of the script but also giving the character new life, allowing the audience to feel the inner strength of the character.”
His views on Qi Si Zhe: “Luo Yunxi’s unique charm—working with this actor gave the director the opportunity to delve into the character’s inner world. Through David Chuang’s lens, the story of forensic pathologist Qi Si Zhe was imbued with unprecedented depth, inseparable from Luo Yunxi’s performance.”
He said: “What I admire most about Luo Yunxi is his sincerity and his attitude of treating his roles as works of art. He is an extremely dedicated actor, and in this industry, he possesses a rare ability that allows the audience to feel the emotions of his characters without needing to say a word.”
“He has remarkable talent for shaping a character. He understands that the essence of acting lies in the unspoken. He infuses his own emotions, experiences, and understanding of life into every scene, making every breath of the character feel real. Acting is no longer ‘playing a role’ but becomes sincere expression stemming from belief and coming from the heart.”
I agree—unless LYX is focused and treats his character as a work of art, he wouldn’t be able to portray such complexity. Indeed, he has embodied some of the most complex costume characters in C-drama, like Tan Tai Jin and, more recently, Tang Li Ci.
Time to read the detail, the more you learn about the story the greater it ishttps://kisskh.at/discussions/755725-shui-long-yin/146048-it-s-all-in-the-detail-whispers-of-fate-explainer-and-hidden-facts-threadhttps://kisskh.at/discussions/755725-shui-long-yin/146562-whispers-of-fate-what-is-the-meaning-of-life
SLY feels like a project born from the regret of HYX never airing. The producer and LYX clearly wanted to show what they couldn’t with HYX. The link can be opened with web version, it is worthwhile to read thanks for both authors for breaking it down so deeply. After reading, I feel there won't be another drama like SLY in the past and doubt if there will be in the future.
Immortality would be your go to drama but I don't know if it will have CGI matching this drama though.
Imo, we can expect HYX CGI to be 82-90% from TTOETM which is better than even todays most C Drama CGI. What is certain for me is HYX has the best story and support cast among the 3 Otter Triology. Our biggest concern should be the editing, it is certain they won't air this in 2 parts so what they cut and how it affect the storyline?
Immortality would be your go to drama but I don't know if it will have CGI matching this drama though.
😂Just joking among fellow Immortality long time clown who has been in agony waiting for Immortality drama for 6 years now, introducing anyone to immortality drama is not a good idea....don't take it to heart. But well, if you want this standard of CGI the only other that is close is The Immortal Ascension. These 2 are my fav drama in 2025.
I will always have a soft spot for Chi Yun. His character theme song hits different within the first thirty episodes…
I was initially worry about the actor ability to portray CY, never heard of his name and my general dislike for newbie acting. But all I can say is Ao Ziyi is 99% Chi Yun in real they found the perfect Chi Yun, he does not have to act he already is CY. Outside TLC, CY is my 2nd most fav character
Immortality would be your go to drama but I don't know if it will have CGI matching this drama though.
Are you trying to create one more clown as we don't have enough clown already 🤣🤣🤣Better spare anyone of the agony waiting for the ultimate drama in C Ent History.
Is he currently filming any drama? I saw the list, only 2 dramas waiting to be aired.
No, Lyx is expected to leave his long time agency this summer. Melon said he still owes his agency one more drama, but most of his fans hope he does not film anything until July when he is expected to leave.
He isnt dating https://www.tonboriday.com/2026/02/why-luo-yunxi-and-chen-yao-dating.html
Both fans are so chill, who does not know why a certain person put this on Hot Search no 1 while LYX own drama no longer get that treatment for many years, last ditch to smear him before he is leaving the agency 🤣, classic moves.
Both fans know that they are like sibling, older brother and younger sister, no one believe it 🤣.
Looks like going to be a good CNY movie, let me know how it goes. Gong Xi Fat Cai in advance....tomorrow is a day full of feast and Red Envelope....- 😂
Im close to finishing with last 3 eps to go. It is draggy and im forcing myself to end it soon. Some unnecessary…
WoF isn’t the kind of drama you can watch casually while multitasking—it demands full attention. For those who truly grasp the story, its narrative is brilliantly crafted, unlike anything else we’ve seen in C-ent. And for many viewers who feel confused, there are threads that provides complete explanations for every possible question, covering TLC, YeMo, YYY, the Tianren Realm, and many other characters, along with the reasons behind their actions. This 2 bellow gives you a full understanding of the drama storyline.
I finally restarted the rewatch yesterday, still at ep 7. I only allows myself 1 ep/day 😆
Honestly, since they can’t drop HYX right now, it feels like they’re giving us Shui Long Yin loaded with HYX references. You see it everywhere: TLC & Fang Zhou is similar to Moran to CWN, Liu Yan has similarity with Moran. Even the time shifts between the old world and the current in HYX is here. The weapons line up too—3 CWN weapons and 3 TLC weapons, with overlaps like The Qin and the Huisha sword. Then there’s the dragon connecting TLC and CWN, plus Haitang, 3799 Steps, the moon cycle, the wood carving as you mentioned…. Brotherhood, obsession—it’s all there. And Chen Yao showing up both as Villains…Did you also see how many cast are in both in SLY and HYX? We really need a full list of these parallels. And when that Phantom Detective leak dropped, I couldn’t help but imagine CWN on set.
Finally you are here.....It will stay no romance drama till the end.....Yes all female characters have their own…
Let's remember this is their 3rd collaborations while HYX is the first, so while HYX I think has the best script among the 3 and the most explosive, but in term of CGI, Costumes and especially Editing, HYX won't be as good as the 2nd & 3rd one. Imo while this drama has everything and extremely beautiful but all 3 suffers from editing. But a forever Clown like me will forever wait for HYX.
We should be getting approval for this drama pretty soon.
For clarity: PD was initially registered as a 40-ep drama many years ago with NTRA but revised to 30 episodes script BEFORE filming. Casting announcements and official filming confirmed 30eps, in line with current platform demands. The filming period was also shorter than typical 40-episode productions.
The Truth Within (TTW) Performance: Originally scheduled for March 2026, TTW was repositioned as a filler drama with almost no promotion, Youku did not provide TTW a fixed screen slot, prioritizing costume dramas instead. Suspense dramas typically underperform compared to S+ costume dramas, yet TTW defied expectations.
Rankings & Viewership • Achieved No. 3 in the 2026 Cat’s Eye rankings. • Averaged 30M+ views per episode, remarkable for a low-profile suspense release. • Maintained no 1 position in Datawin’s suspense drama category for 4 consecutive weeks.
Marketing Exposure vs. Results (Data from Maoyan) • Marketing exposure was only: 30% of No. 1 drama and 25% of No. 2 drama
• Despite this, TTW became: The most profitable drama of the season and achieved the highest marketing-to-watcher conversion rate: 5.7x higher than No. 1 and 5.2x higher than No. 2 (Maoyan Data)
TTW’s success highlights LYX’s consistent strength: • His Projects deliver top ROI despite limited marketing exposure. • Frequently cited in major company financial reports. The Yunnan provincial government where TTW was filmed confirmed its hit status, noting a boost in local tourism.
Quality over hype: TTW proved that strong content can outperform heavy marketing.

Many long-term C Drama watchers have claimed on this page; WoF is simply the best story they have watched in decades.
