If you like case solving drama, fast plot, non a brain dead Male Leads, Strong Female Characters and A Lot of Laughter, then this is for you. But if you only like romance drama, this is not it. It's has Strange Tale of Tang Dynasty vibes.

Actually other than the 6 cases taken from the novel, the main plot and Li Si identity is very different than the novel. Looks like from BTS, later we'll get to see Li Si backstory and his training.

What I love so far by ep 8, after dropping many dramas for 5 months straight:

• I could not wait for the new episodes the next day—it keeps me hanging and questioning everything.
• It's the only drama in a while where I haven’t reached for the FF button, which means the storyline is genuinely compelling.
• Each episode is thrilling, with good enough CGI, beautiful fight scenes, and a mysterious blend of fantasy and Chinese horror (but not scary).
• Some of the actors can actually act, which is rare. As for Luo Yunxi, he needs no introduction; everyone with eyes knows he is a good actor.
• Li Si is not only dashing but also smart and calm, with a good sense of humor (I can’t stop laughing) but he can be dangerous at times. His gaze says a lot…

For me TTJ has those dark vibes, TLC is I'm the best in the world but he is not talkative, But Li Si is a total chatterbox.....haha...He is more similar with Yuan Shuai (if you watched Love is Sweet).
